LE CAUDAN WATERFRONT

Shopping mall
4.1/5
32 reviews
Open - from 09h12 to 19h12

Located on the harbor, this tourist and commercial center is the oldest in Mauritius, and still the most pleasant and vibrant, where artists exhibit their work and craftsmen share their know-how: a lively, fluid and airy place in the heart of the capital's bustle. The various buildings, linked by pedestrian walkways, house no fewer than 150 boutiques selling local and international brands, a Craft Market and dozens of restaurants, bars, street food stalls... Also: museum, aquarium, casino, cinemas, Arts Center, hotels.

RUISSEAU CRÉOLE

Shopping mall
4.3/5
28 reviews
Open - from 09h30 to 18h00

This airy shopping center brings together some forty boutiques that can be accessed from the outside just as you would stroll down a pedestrian street. Jewelry, clothing, fashion accessories, swimwear and handicrafts make up a varied and attractive offer, based partly on local brands (Oceano Pearls, Macumba, Out of Africa...) and partly on international brands (Abalone, Café Coton, Eté Paris...). The quality of the offer extends to the culinary side, with a large central kiosk, a sushi bar, a French delicatessen, a steakhouse and the new Noddle Garden.

BAGATELLE MALL

Shopping mall
5/5
1 review

Central and easy to access, it's one of the most popular malls in Mauritius. Easy to get to grips with, it is distributed exclusively on the first floor, on either side of a central walkway. It features 155 local and international brand names, hypermarkets, a large food court, restaurants, a multiplex cinema, a bowling alley and the island's only microbrewery. We love: 42 Market Street, the corner for Mauritian brands. Also a Décathlon. Fun and lively, the place is buzzing with life 7 days a week.

CASCAVELLE

Shopping mall
4.5/5
4 reviews

It is the largest shopping center on the West Coast, designed in a village spirit, that is to say open and airy. You can stroll between about 50 stores of local and international brands (clothes, jewelry, bookstore, supermarket...) and several nice cafés like the Artisan Coffee and the Bistro de Marius (both cafe and Mediterranean cuisine restaurant). Also: a Winner's supermarket, a large bright food court, 3 restaurants (Korean, Italian, Japanese), a bowling alley, and a musical and festive bar-resto (Lakaz Cascavelle). ATM and parking.

CENTRE COMMERCIAL SUPER U GRAND BAIE

Shopping mall
3.8/5
4 reviews

It's the largest supermarket in the northern region, well-stocked with food and household products, as well as handicrafts, books on Mauritius, local teas, spices, fruit jellies, exotic jams, etc., sold here for less than in souvenir stores or most markets. At the entrance: a shopping mall with hundreds of boutiques selling local and international brands. There's also a food court, a French bakery (Paul), several restaurants and leisure facilities - bumper cars, casino, bowling alley...

LES ARCADES CURRIMJEE

Shopping mall
4/5

This beautiful old basalt stone building was already serving as a shopping mall in 1912! Masterfully renovated in 2022 in keeping with its original architecture, the complex now houses some forty retailers in a warm, light-filled space steeped in history. The restaurant area boasts a number of trendy cafés and tables. Our favorite is Bistro Barbu, a new-age troquet with a recycled spirit, where you can enjoy tasty salads, burgers and homemade dishes.

PALM BEACH BOUTIQUE

Shopping mall
4/5
1 review

In the luxury hotel sector, on the coastal road, this small, chic and well-kept shopping mall has a handful of craft, clothing and jewellery shops, where quality takes precedence over quantity. Among them, In'Am, a Mauritian brand, offers a nice selection of wool or cashmere sweaters. For gold jewellery set with fine stones or more modern ornaments, go to Adamas, one of the most famous jewellers in the Indian Ocean for diamond cutting - prices are much lower than in Europe for equivalent quality.

GRAND BAIE LA CROISETTE

Shopping mall
2.7/5
3 reviews

The largest shopping mall in the northern region stands at the back of Grand Bay: a Mall with a capital M with stores, supermarkets, food courts and restaurants, bars and cafes, multiplex cinema, sports center: a cobblestone! Modern in terms of design, functional and easy to understand thanks to a thematic distribution of spaces around a central esplanade of 5,000 m²designed for children. Everything is like clockwork! We love the concept store Le Rendez-Vous and the local brands Cottons, Out of Africa, Out of the Blue, Phydra.

GALERIE MARCHANDE DE PASADENA

Shopping mall
2.5/5
2 reviews

This pocket-sized shopping mall is located in the center of Flic-en-Flac, just before the beach. It features a small handful of summer clothing boutiques( mainlybeachwear ) and is of little interest except for the supermarket in the basement - Jumbo Express, open every day, even on Sundays. Also on site: a 3* hotel, Aanari, with a spa open to all upon reservation, and a few bars and restaurants overlooking the street or in the calm of a garden.

BAZAR

Shopping mall

Like Port Louis, Grand Bay has its own bazaar, much less typical and typified than its corollary of the capital. Even if the place gathers about a hundred stalls (T-shirts, bags, baskets, pareos, towels, tablecloths, spices, model ships, etc.), its covered market looks do not justify the overbidding of prices. Not only is it full of china and counterfeit goods, but clothes or handicrafts are sometimes more expensive there than in the shops. Sign of destiny: the tourist attraction is on... Racket Road!

SUNSET BOULEVARD

Shopping mall

In the jungle of XXL malls, we're sure we've fallen in love with Grand Baie's oldest shopping center: an open-air, horizontal strolling area, partially on the seafront, with a chic bistro overlooking a small square (Sauterelle), a café overlooking a small marina, pretty pavilions bringing together some forty international and local brands of clothing, bags, beachwear... including 69 Slam, INAM (cashmere), Macumba (tunics, deco), Panier de Lili (natural fiber bags), Morebelli (jewelry)...

RICHMOND HILL COMPLEX

Shopping mall

Although this collection of stores, restaurants and cafés is an extension of the Super U, on the same vast shopping area, it is a shopping complex in its own right. Arriving from downtown Grand Bay, Richmond Hill is at the far end of the parking lot. Few people make the effort to walk the extra few metres, and the place is pretty quiet. But it's the place to go for Adamas: the region's largest boutique for brand-name jewelry and watches, and the largest showroom for diamond-set jewelry.

S'MALL & CHIC

Shopping mall

Small but delightful, it's one of Mauritius's prettiest shopping areas, chic and different: a collection of a dozen or so jewelry, fashion and home decoration brands, arranged in an old house around a paved inner courtyard. The courtyard is home to La Table Matisse, a restaurant/tea room where you can enjoy a coffee or a small dish at any time of day. Adjacent to the patio, the Antiquaire is a unique den of furniture and objects from old homes. The charming space hosts temporary exhibitions by Mauritian artists.

LE QUARTIER DES SERRES

Shopping mall

An enclosed, pedestrian area unique in Mauritius, this living and shopping space has been designed in the same spirit of preservation as the Domaine that serves as its setting (park, Château) and is set in the magnificent natural surroundings of the greenhouses whose name it bears. In the subdued shade of the canopies, the airy, plant-filled pedestrian areas are divided between juice and snack kiosks, a terrace restaurant, a delicatessen, a wellness center, and a range of ultra-quality boutiques rarely found elsewhere in Mauritius (Helios, By Agathe Besse, Must, Bel Ami...)!

LA PLACE CAP TAMARIN

Shopping mall

As you enter Tamarin from the north, you'll see a brand-new Super U on the left, the largest supermarket in the area, along with several boutiques and a few resto-bars. On the right is Cap Tamarin, a long shopping mall bordering a square with a children's playground. Here, you'll find a number of boutiques, including My Pop Up Store, which sells 100% Mauritian brands. There's also a very good bakery (Pains & Moulins), pharmacy, bank, various shops... For lunch or dinner: Lulu.
