The Mascarene Islands' largest and oldest ship model factory still in operation produces over 150 models of exceptional quality, in all price ranges: from Columbus caravels to America's Cup boats. While classic reproductions make up the bulk of the collection, Historic Marine also produces more colorful models, more modern models and custom-built models for private customers. You can visit the workshop, where craftsmen perpetuate the tradition of model shipbuilding.

Central and easy to access, it is one of the most popular malls in Mauritius. The space is distributed on both sides of a central alley that can be walked along. Women's, men's and children's clothing, bags and accessories, jewelry, decorative objects, posters, wood and ceramics, etc. are all well-presented items making up a colorful spectrum of Mauritian creation. A great option for inspirational Made in Moris gifts, or simply to treat yourself. My Pop-Up Store is also an innovative company of ephemeral sales boutiques that can be found here and there.

History speaks through the walls of this former foundry, lovingly and carefully renovated to house a workshop of designers and jewellery-makers where beautiful pieces in sterling silver and 18-carat gold are handcrafted and "melted" every day. Bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc., sit side by side with unique works inspired by nature in the purest jewellery tradition of Patrick Mavros, the brand's Zimbabwean designer. For an aesthetic shot or a quality souvenir, take the time to visit the showroom where you will be received with heart.

It is the largest shopping center on the West Coast, designed in a village spirit, that is to say open and airy. Nothing exceptional, but good deals are possible on T-shirts, colorful outfits for children, shirts... provided of course that you do not endorse counterfeit products! The atmosphere is relaxed, the site and the ambiance are nice, and the whole thing exudes a very local fairground charm. Do not hesitate to bargain.

It's the largest supermarket in the northern region, well-stocked with food and household products, as well as handicrafts, books on Mauritius, local teas, spices, fruit jellies, exotic jams, etc., sold here for less than in souvenir stores or most markets. At the entrance: a shopping mall with hundreds of boutiques selling local and international brands. There's also a food court, a French bakery (Paul), several restaurants and leisure facilities - bumper cars, casino, bowling alley...

Originally created by a mother and daughter, Cottons is a brand for women of tunics, pants, dresses, kaftans in warm colors and noble materials - a line of flowing clothes imported from India, comfortable because made by artisans in simple and authentic materials: light cotton, silk, wool ... No mass-produced products and rigorous selection of each print. Also fashion accessories (necklaces, hats, bags, clutches, baskets...) and a qualitative collection of household linen.

Created by an avid bargain hunter and traveler, the Macumba concept stores are a treasure trove of original clothing, jewelry, souvenirs and gifts at a wide range of prices: tunics, dresses, pareos, costume jewelry, vacoya baskets, decorative objects, household linen and more. The new collections are renewed several times a year, and also showcase Mauritian know-how through a selection of local handicrafts.

This beautiful old basalt stone building was already serving as a shopping mall in 1912! Masterfully renovated in 2022 in keeping with its original architecture, the complex now houses some forty retailers in a warm, light-filled space steeped in history. The restaurant area boasts a number of trendy cafés and tables. Our favorite is Bistro Barbu, a new-age troquet with a recycled spirit, where you can enjoy tasty salads, burgers and homemade dishes.

In the luxury hotel sector, on the coastal road, this small, chic and well-kept shopping mall has a handful of craft, clothing and jewellery shops, where quality takes precedence over quantity. Among them, In'Am, a Mauritian brand, offers a nice selection of wool or cashmere sweaters. For gold jewellery set with fine stones or more modern ornaments, go to Adamas, one of the most famous jewellers in the Indian Ocean for diamond cutting - prices are much lower than in Europe for equivalent quality.

The style of the store, clear and neat, contrasts with the charming but busy clutter of the other stores in town. It is the initiative of an association of men and women from Rodrigues who want to promote local know-how. The main and exclusive products at the origin of the company: amazing bags made with recycled packaging (food boxes and briquettes of all kinds).
