This three-star hotel-restaurant is centrally located and is a favorite among travelers. It has 17 comfortable, well-decorated and well-equipped rooms, including one suite. The restaurant/bar by the lovely pool (redone in 2022) and its duckboard deck, flanked by a ravenala tree, invites you to sip a cocktail at cocktail hour. The cuisine is among the best in town. Perfect comfort and friendly service, under the leadership of Eric, very welcoming and available. Organization of trips, stay "à la carte". We understood it: an address of choice!

Bungalows lined in a beautiful tropical park by the sea and right next to the mouth; we can go there to observe the daily life of the inhabitants (lavandiers, fishermen…). Fresh seafood products guaranteed! In the morning, breakfast takes place in the large garden, lulled by the noise of the waves. The staff were very helpful and helpful. Possibility to organize excursions on the canal towards Manakara or to discover the surrounding fishing villages.

Bungalows that surround a garden (or green space) well kept, on the edge of the water. Jovial and smiling home, at least when the owners are there. Very good meal and a set that keeps the road.

At the time of our visit, Alain, the manager, had undertaken some refurbishments and new fittings. This charming colonial villa has been given a new lease of life.

This establishment, originally intended for the elderly, has undergone an unlikely facelift: large, beautiful rooms, decorated with care, now intended for tourism. It is very clean and unruffled calm. We will take advantage of our stay to visit the small museum dedicated to the history of the building. Recommendable, but it is a pity that the prices increased these last times! The Gasy Car shuttles arrive and leave from the Residence.

Unique and atypical, set on the edge of the Mozambique Channel, Antsanitia is more than a hotel; it's an experience, a project dedicated to improving the standard of living of the villagers. The hotel overlooks a sandy beach and offers a magnificent panorama. Its wooden bungalows (overlooking the sea) are spacious and well-equipped, surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The suites are spacious and comfortable, while the rooms are simpler. A magnificent setting, quality facilities and an excellent welcome from the staff. An ideal haven of peace to recharge your batteries.

Very nice hotel composed of bungalows set in a green area, less than 100 m. from the beach, on the other side of the road. The rooms are comfortable, all equipped with a large bed with mosquito net, fan and air conditioning, bathroom with shower and w.c., wifi etc. The whole is very well kept. Sandrine, the owner, ensures the quality of the reception and the service. In the kitchen, the house favors fresh local products and organic food, with a large choice of fish and seafood. A good address.

One of Tana's best quality/price ratios, and it's starting to come out! Central location and rooms with parquet floor very well maintained and well equipped. However, not all of them are identical. The Italian restaurant is in tone, pleasant and of high quality. Responsive and smiling service. A good address in more than one way.

Good to know: VIP taxis for Antsirabe (Gasy Car) leave the hotel every day, at 7am, 9am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm (www.gasycarvip.com). Reservation required.

The bungalows are very nice, with en suite bathrooms, TV and good bedding. The site lacks charm or brightness, but the whole remains excellent value for money. The kitchen is rich and tasty: probably also one of the best tables on the island, at the right price. Welcome to Benoît and Chantal, when they are there. An address to remember.

All rooms are not worth (hot water for the most expensive ones only, some are brighter than others): The rooms of the main building are really designed for every small budget. For more comfort, the Annexe is a few metres away, where the rooms are larger and quieter. All of them have private health and television.

Popular for backpacks. It's very simple and you wake up at dawn! In the restaurant, the service is slow and the dishes are uneven but it goes. From the terrace, on the beach, you can admire the return of the canoes to sunset and chat with the locals.

This addresses the inhabitants of Tana and is suitable for groups. The recent swimming pool is an asset during hot weather. Quality cuisine. A suitable address ultimately.

A magnificently restored century-old upland building located in a wooded park on the outskirts of the city. Very good comfort for the price. Heating in winter. The restaurant offers a fairly extensive and well-made menu (Swiss and Malagasy specialities, pizzas, foie gras...). Not bad for a coffee break or lunch on the terrace. The "Gasy Car VIP" taxis that shuttle between Tana and Antsirabe systematically stop there.

Superb colonial building, all white dressed, with a swimming pool, bar, disco and a charme of another time… Efforts in the renovation (paintings, etc.) have enhanced a bit of its stamp, but if the ensemble is much more charming than Sharon, the rooms are less comfortable. The restaurant, however, enjoys public favours: Very good food. It should be said that the products come from the family garden, in the property of the «Domaine des Stud Masteva», where there are also magnificent horse riding. A conference room and a casino quickly fill this address: reservations recommended. Good location in front of the sea and close to some restaurants.

This excellent structure offers 21 bungalows without screws with private terraces (including 6 communicating spaces), two restaurants, an infinity swimming pool (15 x 7 m) with a view of the lagoon and a beach. It is impeccable, well maintained and comfortable. Many nautical activities, including whale watching, scuba diving, canoeing, quad and wholesale fishing, as well as visit of the parks of Mangily and typical villages around. The owner, Michel (now assisted by his granddaughter Stephanie), is an extraordinary figure (91 years please). The site is very beautiful, the address appreciated by tourist operators and travellers for the quality of its services.

At the edge of the canal and at the end of a long and beautiful sandy path, a nice address. The very beautiful and spacious bungalows of 45 m², furnished in rosewood, have a minibar, private bathrooms (with separate toilets) and a private terrace. Large sunny swimming pool flanked by a bar area and adjacent to the restaurant (excellent seafood). Numerous excursions, notably half-day or full-day trips on the Pangalanes canal, the lodge even has its own marina. A very good address, quite unexpected here.

The complex is very pleasant on the beach, in the middle of a small wooded and shaded park. The rooms have private sanitary facilities, fan, and electricity. Private terraces. Feet in the sand, you can sit under the big straw hut, or you can rest directly on the beach in a deckchair and take your time to live! Musical entertainment some evenings. At the restaurant level, there is a connection with the fishermen for those who like fresh fish, squid fritters or couscous from the sea, sautéed octopus, Misao and upside down bowl. Meat side of the choice too.

It is easy and easy to flow in the veines of Yann and Ronan. Two appealing brothers accompanied by their Malagasy wives, true blue cords (try the chicken!). All units have private sanitary facilities with hot water. The whole is comfortable, warm, colorful, well kept, extended on the street side by a nice terrace drowned in the vegetation. Next door and dependent on the hotel, a small wellness center to make yourself beautiful. Congratulations to Fanja and André. An excellent address recommended!

Hosted by Marie Efta and his family, this rustic hotel offers wooden bungalows at a low price, on the edge of the water. Common shower and toilet. No electricity. A bucket of water makes the case. Cheap and very good dishes. Welcome. 

This structure, apart from the lake, evokes an alpine stage. Moreover, the speciality of the restaurant is the Savoyard raclette and fondue. It's very good! For residents nostalgic for winter evenings.

The hosts, Victor and Dominique, a warm Franco-Malagasy couple, have built six pretty wooden bungalows, comfortable and spacious for a very small price. Simple cuisine made up of fresh products, fish and seafood. Coffee and rice come from the family plantation. Possibility to rent bicycles or motorcycles to explore the surroundings.

A fairly comfortable address although a little dated, at the still reasonable rates. Good breakfast. The appendix to the Commissioner's Hole held by Ebony guarantees a sacred change! Attention, dangerous swimming: ask for the advice of the premises.

Rooms in suitable bungalows, equipped with private health, air conditioning, TV, mini bar and safe. But the site is very narrow, and many bungalows have other bungalows for the opposite. Not the most intimate. Not really a garden either. That is a pity. The restaurant is a good table. Visit the Hotel's Beach Bar and celebrate all night long! Sleeping peacefully there will be more complicated.

Former property of the Colbert group, this beautiful structure has recently been discharged. However, it continues to assert itself as a practical place of residence in Fort Dauphin: there is no more central, spacious and comfortable rooms, quality bakery/quality, complete spa with outdoor swimming pool (a bit exigüe), fitness space, indoor garden, free internet everywhere and a cosy bar…

In the main street, well located. An honest restaurant. Some tables outside to look the day that goes. Pleasant welcome.

An interesting frame (a courtyard and basta), and a fairly spacious but summary bungalows. Proper bathrooms in the whole (cold water). A little arriving and noisy but not expensive.

Soafara will have the great pleasure of welcoming you in his large house. Common spaces on the ground floor with a bar/billiard/TV/quite cosy TV, very correct rooms on the floor, and a dormitory at the top for the most broke. Equipped kitchen, a big advantage (if not, a complete menu is available at 35 000 Ar, including a drink). Small garden on the back. Practice: The residence is located at the very beginning of the RN 7 (for purists who don't want to lose a km!), and just steps from the south-west brousse station. The guarded parking will also delight the residents'mounted'in the capital, as you say!
