Darafify is one of the oldest hotels in the city. Located a stone's throw from the beach, it is renowned for its excellent cuisine at good prices. The old bungalows, in a wooded environment, are on the whole decent, all have renovated sanitary facilities and some enjoy a nicer decoration. The new bungalows, completed in 2019, are oceanfront, spacious, modern, comfortable, tastefully designed and decorated. Two more are to follow. Very pleasant restaurant under a straw hut, with a nice little landscaped garden.

This hotel structure offers bungalows from 73 to 93 m ² and villas from 120 to 160 m ² in a large park of 1,6 ha. They are very good comfort, maybe dark. The most expensive ones even have a small private swimming pool! Wood dominates everywhere. Services include a maid per bungalow. A restaurant is available if you don't want to cook at reasonable rates.

Lost between the Pangalanes Canal and the Indian Ocean, about 1 hours from Manambato in a fast boat (3 h from Tamatave), this écolodge is managed directly by a village cooperative and offers, in addition to the accommodation in pleasant bungalow and the services of a restaurant, activities such as the ́ of the village and its essential oil distillery. Shortly before Joffreville, this atypical address offers simple rooms with small terrace. Meals are taken with the sisters who have a good reception. Their craft shop is well-stocked (liqueurs, honey, crafts…). The hotel was very close to the train station and the train station was very nice.

The name is associated with the service station next door. The comfort is good (private health) but for the charm we will go.

This address, in the 9 single rooms but with good value for money, has an important asset: its environment, green, near a river. A little a, a car is required (guarded parking). Besides, we rent, like atvs, and we offer walks in canoe. Catering service.

In a large and beautiful garden garden, on the edge of a wild beach, Marco and Francoise offer 9 colourful double bungalows of 25 m ² and a family bungalow for four. It's typical, and comfortable at a time. Private health with hot water. Bar area, seaside restaurant (fixed menu). The whole is a natural impression that makes the good. Big brother of Orangea Village, this resort inaugurated in 2019, was built on a 15 ha property, on the sea front, with a 6 ha natural salt lake. It consists of 2 buildings: a 3-level unit with 47 doubles of 30 sqmwith sea view and a 2-level unit with 32 rooms of 35 sqm, lake view. The rooms are well-equipped and have a well-facing balcony to make the most of the view. The complex is complemented by an ocean view restaurant, a gym, a 150 m² saltwater pool and 3 massage rooms.

In a beautiful site far from everything, 9 luxury bungalows of 80 m² are nestled on the edge of a wild beach. All are very comfortable, with terrace and refined decoration. We love the open-air shower in a green setting for some and, for the others, the bubbling bath with sea view. A little further back, a ficus tree shelters a two-level cabin: an ideal alternative for lovers or families in Robinson mode. The restaurant focuses on seafood products, but not only. Many activities are proposed. A charming address!

Near the airport, in a sublime site, this establishment is one of our favorites in Nosy Be. Overlooking the beach of Befefika, a tongue of sand bordered by black rocks, Manga Soa has 9 lodges scattered in a luxuriant nature. Built with natural materials, each lodge offers a warm comfort. We love the swimming pool with sea view, we enjoy the restaurant/bar open on the bay and offering a high quality cuisine, but also nautical case, land and sea excursions and massage rooms. The team is attentive and committed to sustainable tourism.

Charming hotel with green, far from the city's tumults. Malagasy Specialties Restaurant (see the beautiful Petrof piano), private chalet, tea room and many activities: bike, tennis, ping-pong, billiards, pool, quad runway… It also offers the full guided tour of the Ambohimanga site from Tana. A very pleasant place. 

The very type of the transit hotel fulfilling its role: 12 rooms divided into 6 modern and original structures on 2 floors. All of them have a parking place. The units are spacious, recent and well maintained. Resto in the room or under a small boats. Some kitchen but not too expensive.

Very central location, so very practical, for this small budget address. It's very simple, but right and we even have a fan! The most expensive rooms all have a small balcony overlooking the street animation (small common balcony for the other rooms). A lot of excursions on the canal, in the day or longer to Manambato. 

The Karibotel establishment, camped on a hillside, offers comfortable accommodation in bungalows for two or four people, with private sanitary facilities, telephone and wifi. Its main asset? The breathtaking panoramic view of the village of Ranomafana and the Namorona River from the restaurant, perched at the top, with its lounge bar and its swimming pool (14 meters by 6): grandiose! The place is to be discovered for a peaceful and contemplative stay. The Karibotel brand has another hotel located in Antananarivo, in the heart of the city.

"La Bâtisse by Mikea", the city annex of "Lodge Mikea", is located in the heart of Tuléar, and also includes the Oasis Café, the Mikea Beauty hairdressing/massage salon and the Robert chocolate factory, which belongs to the same group. The building, which dates back to 1950, has been renovated while retaining its authentic character and colonial ambience, with a blend of wood and stone, and a tasteful decor full of charm and color. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very pleasant. A good address for those who want to stay in town.

Mantadia Lodge opened its doors in 2018. This all-suite establishment on the edge of the national park offers 25 rooms immersed in tropical vegetation with spectacular views. Each bungalow, with a sleek, contemporary design, has a private terrace for the warm hours and a lounge with an indoor stove, the ultimate in cocooning. There is also a beautiful swimming pool, a massage room and a panoramic restaurant. Numerous activities are available: tree climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking and of course, visiting the park.

A second life for the former Saint-Laurent Hotel, A l'hôtel is located on the heights of Tana, a few minutes from the Queen's Palace. The old building has been replaced by a beautiful and new structure, all white, bright and modern. The rooms are spacious and mostly equipped with a balcony, tiled floor and a brick floor. A good option for couples and families. Orthopaedic bed, safe, flat screen TV and satellite cable.

The Sahatandra River Hotel, located on the banks of the Sahatandra River and close to the Andasibe National Park (10 minutes by car), has about twenty bungalows with acid colors, in a pretty flowery garden, and about ten double rooms, comfortable and welcoming. The hotel offers a superb view of the river. The restaurant offers quality food. Finally, you will have access to a large swimming pool for relaxing hours. This hotel is a pretty good option for family travelers.

Best known for its restaurant, one of the best in Morondava, La Capannina (Chez Léa) now has wooden bungalows on stilts with a small terrace and a view of the canal and mangrove swamp, and seven other rooms on the first floor and first floor of a small building, with basic comfort, but equipped with the essentials (mosquito net, fan or air-conditioning, walk-in shower...). An interesting option for small budgets. Warm welcome, simplicity, good breakfast and excellent dinner!

Set of four ventilated triple bungalows plus four hard-standing rooms, four upstairs rooms and a family room. Decent comfort for ridiculously low prices. The café-gargote offers breakfast and meals on site at low prices. The menu features fresh seafood: calamari, grilled fish and shrimps. The owner is particularly welcoming and very helpful, and likes to make himself available for any information. A little address we'd recommend to travelers for a night's transit...

The location is very pleasant, along the river, not far from the center. The shower corner of the simplest bungalows is not the most glorious. for bungalows of "luxury", they prove very suitable. Resto a little medium and a little slow service. But we love the terrace… otherwise a little washed. An address that works with an interesting price/price ratio.

Simple but clean. Central, as its name indicates. Prefer the most expensive bungalows, which have private health facilities. The others are still basic and somewhat gruesome. The market is right next door, just like the 4 X 4 bush car park for Tamatave.

The last cyclone has not agrandi the beach! Whale outings in season. Common room with large screen for rainy days. Massages just opposite. There is a lot of information about the region. And above all the best bar in the South marien: La Acre, where all the regulars and connoisseurs find themselves for drink or even for eating. The Imperial Hotel is a central, modern and comfortable establishment with well-kept tiled rooms of standard size located on rue Colbert, in the heart of the city. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, individual safe and wifi. The suites are equipped with a flat screen, a living room and a large whirlpool bathtub. They offer a beautiful view of the bay of Diego. Even better decorated, they are first choices. Elevator from the second floor.

This hotel (which has nothing to do with the Colbert de Tana) offers comfortable and functional rooms. Some of them are on the street and are rather spacious, others in an annexe on the other side have less interest. Fair value for money. The bright, airy brasserie is also one of the best restaurants in the city.

A central address for small budgets. The rooms are old and all different, but the bedding is correct and it is quite well maintained. The restaurant/bar, which has been held by Sao since recently, is a good surprise: soft prices and quality cuisine, in a good atmosphere of camaraderie.
