The restaurant is located at the bottom of a covered alleyway. Colourful tables and an intimate setting. The menu (generally 4 starters, 4 main courses and 3 desserts of your choice: sweet potato toast with guacamole, roasted cabri, squid brochettes, bananas grilled with Nutella...) changes according to the market of the day. It's simple, good, healthy and cheap. It is easy to make it your everyday canteen.

In what remains an address not to be missed in the city, one comes to feast; seafood, game and Chinese specialties of reputation!), one can also sleep there (24 ventilated or air-conditioned rooms with sea view), and one can even organize hunting and fishing trips (for the amateurs of the kind). We settle indoors or on the terrace and take the time to quench our thirst while waiting for our meal. It is not very refined, but the meat is generally tender and good. Read moreAdjoining the Maison Voajanahary, a silk craft shop, this small gargote, run by Olivier, offers a rather good local cuisine. You can eat pasta there, but as long as you have a Malagasy speciality tested so much, romazava was particularly successful during our visit. Olivier is also a guide, he can organise a half-day visit to the city's craft workshops or a day's hike in the region, or even a two- or three-day tour, with accommodation in a local house.

His cuisine, simple and efficient, composed only of fresh products and flavours drawn from French, Reunion Island and Malagasy cuisine, is a delight for regular customers in the area. Everything is homemade, including ice cream, juices, yoghurt. And there are few tables and little or no stock, it is cooked in the morning for lunch, so first come first served!

This woman overflowing with energy and desire to share her passion travels throughout the country to find the recipes of yesteryear and revisits them. It is thus a traditional Malagasy cuisine that she and her team present to us. The plates are refined and all the dishes are really tasty. The reception is neat, the interior room pleasant and the garden a real paradise. One of our most beautiful Malagasy gastronomic experiences.
