CITY WALLS
Read moreThe ramparts are certainly the first building to visit in the old Dubrovnik. Built between the th and th centuries, the walls protected the city for hundreds of years. They encircled the entire old town with their 1940 m long. The book is impressive: walls, incredibly conserved, can be 25 m high and up to 6 m thick. The walls of the city have an inner part and an external part. The first part forms a smaller enclosure with ten semicircular bastions built by the famous Florentine architect Michelozzo Michelozzi. The second part has five bastions, three circular towers and twelve square or rectangular towers, as well as a huge fortress, the Fort Sveti Ivan (Saint John) on the port. From the top of the ramparts you will have a fantastic view of the old town.

PLACE DU BAN JELAČIĆA
Read moreAt the foot of the hills, this main square, which has existed since the 17th century, was the venue for the fairs of the towns of Gradec and Kaptol. Renamed after the Second World War by the communists, who preferred "Place de la République", it regained its former name in 1991, and the equestrian statue of the ban Jelačić. Today, with its bus and tram stops, its café terraces and numerous events all year round, it is truly the heart, the nerve centre of the city, especially on Saturday mornings! You won't miss it.

MOLO LONGO
Read moreThe most famous dike in Rijeka, opened to the public after the rehabilitation of the ferry and catamaran pier a few years ago. A walk of at least 2 km to get to the end. This is the walk along the sea that we like to do at sunset, at nightfall to see the silhouettes of the old riggings and all the lights of the city reflected in a sea of oil. We pass under impressive disused cranes that are illuminated at night and remind us of the industrial memory of the port.
