There are two types of huts to suit all tastes and budgets: hard-built bungalows, a little faded and without air-conditioning, and straw huts, lit by kerosene lamps, with outdoor sanitary facilities and a gourd shower for half the price, the ideal solution for young backpackers, as the whole place is clean and well-kept. The menu is fixed and very well served, with a large Senegalese plate, based on daily products.

We sleep in huts made of woven mangrove or in huts in the trees. Showers and toilets in the African way, in the open air. The huts are clean and well maintained with indoor sanitary facilities. Jean, who welcomes you, is a charismatic character of the village. He will take you to meet the fetishist, to visit the forest of cheese trees, by pirogue to Nikine or the island of Egueye to observe the crocodiles and the harvest of mangrove oysters. You will learn a lot with him, especially about the Diola traditions.

The GIE structure also works to protect the environment and combat logging. The huts are simple, the outdoor showers decent, but the camp is unfortunately falling into disuse. Renovations were underway at the time of our report. You can, however, stop off for lunch - the food is delicious!

Ten banco huts nicely decorated with drawings and wooden objects, with basins in the bathrooms, are part of this eco-friendly camp equipped with dry toilets and solar energy. The cuisine concocted with local products and served around a convivial table is excellent and the small rest areas of the camp are delicious.

Ten rustic but clean huts are placed on the sand, in front of the beach among the trees. The restaurant is a real good idea: on order, you can give in to your fish cravings: fresh monkfish, lobster, thiof, captain, all the catch of the day can be grilled according to your desires. If you are not from the camp, you can have lunch there and enjoy the private beach or the swimming pool, nice no?
