Two other boats, the Diambogne and theAguene, alternate between the two destinations. The latter offer seats only. TheAline Sitoé Diatta offers armchairs, 8-, 4- and 2-berth cabins with shower. Restaurant on site. The boat calls at Carabane Island on both outward and return trips.

Read moreDeparture for Gorée is from the Gare Maritime de Dakar, also known as the "Embarcadère de Gorée", a well-organized building with ample seating, ventilation and a well-stocked refreshment bar. Tickets can be purchased on the spot, up to 15 min before departure. The crossing takes about 20 min. The current fleet comprises three longboats: Coumba Castel, Beer and Coumba Lamb, and soon a4th. Schedules are kept to the minute. Don't miss the arrival at Gorée, announced by the captain on his foghorn!
