Departure for Gorée is from the Gare Maritime de Dakar, also known as the "Embarcadère de Gorée", a well-organized building with ample seating, ventilation and a well-stocked refreshment bar. Tickets can be purchased on the spot, up to 15 min before departure. The crossing takes about 20 min. The current fleet comprises three longboats: Coumba Castel, Beer and Coumba Lamb, and soon a4th. Schedules are kept to the minute. Don't miss the arrival at Gorée, announced by the captain on his foghorn!
