This wine store located a few blocks from the promenade des lavoirs offers an interesting stopover to stock up not only on wines but also on local products. It is impossible to miss the large wooden door just before the bridge. Take the time to discover the corner of Breton beverages: seaweed pastis with seaweed, chouchen, chestnut liqueur, Finistère beers, organic cider from the Côtes d'Armor of the Le P'tit Fausset cider house... It is possible to compose your garnished basket by adding Hénaff country terrines (their "Selection" range), buckwheat chips, small confits of shallot from Brittany, pork rillettes with seaweed or some products from the Paimpol Smokehouse.

BRAS DE FER BAR CAVE

Caviste

A new wine shop has opened in Nantes, with a name that's nothing short of muscular: Bras de Fer! Run by 3 partners, all wine experts or oenologists, their cellar is all about quantity, but above all, quality. 95% natural wines to taste on the premises or to take away. They also produce their own wine: the grapes are harvested in the vineyards of Nantes and Anjou, and then vinified by their partner l'Agronaute. The dining room is also very pleasant, with its mezzanine and great outdoor courtyard, ideal for a stroll in summer. And let's not forget their great program (concerts, exhibitions, DJ sets) and local produce, such as Painbar bread and Vendeen ham. A real treat!

The cellar also produces a rosé, as well as a Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise "Terre Blonde" which can be served as an aperitif or with dessert. But beware, the cellar is not satisfied with its sales activity, it also offers wine tourism services.

LE SOMMELIER GOURMAND

Here's an address widely acclaimed by the people of Tonnerre, and with good reason: after a notable stint at the Plaza Athénée and the Taillevent cellar (no less!), sommelier Patrice Vidaller decided to settle in Tonnerre a few years ago. His ambition? To introduce visitors to exceptional wines and spirits, as well as more affordable, quality wines. Of course, his advice is always top-notch, and so is the atmosphere. You can even treat yourself to regional products to accompany your tastings.

It is the same brand as La Cave du Vigneron which is in Les Milles. We appreciate the quality/price ratio and the richness of the proposals: 1,500 references! Fine wines, whiskies, spirits, wine fountains, champagnes... and, of course, a fine selection of hillsides in Aix and Côtes de Provence, as well as labels from all over France and some foreign wines. For some years, the Cellar des Domaines welcomes you, on this small commercial area where it is easy to park, near the motorway La Provençale. Here, Jacqueline receives you with great kindness and skill. The other Cellar of Domains is located in Célony, practice when you live on that side of Aix, and it's Ludovic who receives you. At both stores you find very good table wines at the tank at perfectly reasonable prices and a collection of bottles rigorously selected in the three colours, with a predominance, land force, in the rosé. AOC Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, wines of Provence, Bordeaux, Languedoc; and according to the years of Bandol, and some wines of Var and Vaucluse… We appreciate the excellent value for money and interesting selection of small producers.

Each district of Lyon is in its own way a village. This is even more true for the Montchat district, in the heart of which an independent wine merchant settled 3 years ago: Patrick Desbat. With its exceptionally successful decor, offering a beautiful brightness and a large wall fresco at the back of the shop, La Cave du Village transports us to the world of wine. Patrick Desbat, a true wine enthusiast, was first trained in the field, with the wine growers (to whom he regularly visits), and in the excellent wine school of France in Paris-Bercy before opening his cellar. Result, 300 references to La Cave du Village, with a selection that will satisfy all desires, according to their budget. Wines from here, the region (Rhône Valley in the lead) is well represented, but also with a range of foreign wines not to be neglected. A Cellar that gives us a (good) reason to discover this neighborhood.

SÉLECTIONS ET MILLÉSIMES

Behind this name, Selections and Millésimes, hides a beautiful cellar carefully preserved by an enthusiast defending the wine culture. Jean-Marie Gay's strong point is surely his ability to advise and retransmit everything he has learned on the ground. Also involved in the local vineyard, he has been part of the group of Berry-Curiens for 20 years. But let's have a chat, let's go down to this famous cellar! Past the big wooden door, it's a whole universe. Soft lights reveal more than 700 references. There are French wines from the best grape varieties, of course. But we will also be seduced by the selection of wines from the New World (Chile, Argentina, Mexico…). Jean-Marie Gay, concerned with the environment and future generations, will make you taste organic wines (from a culture and vinification without chemistry). Very sure of them, the great champagne wines (Jacquesson, Roederer, Krug, Gosset, Mignon…), obviously trample in the shop. 90 whiskies and 50 rheus (white and old) complement the range of spirits. All these bottles, you will necessarily want to offer them to your loved ones or share them. Oenological evenings and theme tastings are regularly organized. As proof of his expertise, Jean-Marie has been lecturing Greta for 7 years. With his 24 years of experience he knows how to select, buy and speak the wines, and will gladly advise you of the wedding of the dishes and wines. The cellar has taken another dimension to offer Bourges its "wine house": highlighting local wines and meeting with winemakers. Smart word, this address is to be consumed without moderation!
