From Meria, a walk takes you to the beautiful ghost village of Caracu. Between land and sky, this aerial route offers superb views of the eastern tip of Cape Corsica and the Tuscan archipelago. The trail is mostly flat and rocky. At the start, you'll discover monumental tombs, each more impressive than the last. Once you've reached the abandoned village, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that surrounds the ruins.

Following the stone-paved lanes of the hamlet of Ortale, ancient mule tracks run through the memory of the Cape Corsican cradle. Following the wanderings of the Funtanaccia, an ancient water mill stands like a rock wall, shrouded in the golden ether of the undergrowth. You'll then cast your gaze over the remains of a Genoese bridge, before crossing the stones of the Savina mill, whose activity continues unabated despite the patina of the ages, conferring immemorial bliss on this journey from beyond time!

On this hike, you'll discover the Santa Maria tower and enjoy a superb view of the Finocchiarola islands, classified as a nature reserve. From the port of Macinaggio, follow the signs for the U Stazzu campsite, then reach the Tamarone beach. Cross the beach and continue along the path, either along the coast to the right, or inland to the left. Choose one of these paths on the way out and the other on the way back, to enjoy different views.

Agence les Corsaires organizes exciting geological hikes led by Pierrick d'Alleman, an FFFM-certified geologist with a passion for rocks and ancient history, who takes even the most daring hikers on a journey into a world that reveals the existence and secrets of a 65-million-year-old ocean of rocks beneath our feet. On the program: the cliffs of Bidart, Biarritz, the Hendaye coastline, La Rhune, Mondarrain, Artza Mendi and the fossils of Urculu.

I love this hike, which can be completed in half a day. When you leave the village of Bonloc in the direction of Saint-Esteben, keep an eye on the kilometre marker: at the Saint-Esteben milestone (3.5 km), take a small road to the right. And you can stop the vehicle as the road becomes a path: after crossing a stream called Garraldako Erreka, the world is yours! This ascent takes around 2 hours and is accessible to all.

This beautiful granite arch is also known as the Scandulaghju arch or the Padule arch. It starts near the parking lot at the foot of the citadel, a little higher up than the path leading up the Tavignano to the refuge de la Sega (a sign points the way to the arch). Although the arch is not very far from Corte, the climb is very tough (1,000 m ascent on rocky ground) and the first part of the route is totally exposed to the sun, with no possibility of shelter. Bring plenty of water and set off early in the morning.

The Vallée de l'Ornain greenway runs along the former towpath of the Marne au Rhin canal, between Fains-Véel and Saint-Amand sur Ornain, passing through Bar-le-Duc and Ligny-en-Barrois. Some 30 kilometers long, it allows you to discover all the nearby villages by bike or on foot, on a bucolic walk linking 30 numbered locks. Picnic areas have been set up along the way. Rollerblading not possible.

There are many walks in the vicinity of Sisteron. The "botanical trail of Molard" is one of them, which we highly recommend for its accessibility, its natural beauty and its fun aspect. It lasts about two and a half to three hours and is easy to walk with its red and white GR6 markings, as well as ONF markings. Along the way, you will discover 7 stations presenting the forest environment and its species.

You will thus walk through the Molard massif, whose forest covers 25 ha spread out from 500 m to 748 m of altitude. Located at the gates of Sisteron, which it dominates with its presence, it is its garden, its green lung. It represents a remarkable example of regeneration of the vegetation and protection of the environment. Take the botanical path called "montée du Molard" on the edge of the Sisteron municipal forest. Follow it to the end. Turn right onto the Cedar Tourist Trail. After four hairpin bends and a power line, go left towards the Molard ridge. Continue on the slope of this ridge until you reach the orientation table which allows you to observe the whole of the Sisters' country. You will find a small refuge nearby. Do not go down towards Sisteron via Combes, but continue on the ridge. At the crossroads, at the level of the high voltage pylon, continue straight on towards the highest point of Molard. Go back down to Sisteron either by the path you took or by Les Combes.

The ascent to the estives is a major event for the valley, and the signposted route is only the lower part of the transhumance from Arette to La Mouline. This route juggles between the cluses and the departmental road. From Arette, follow the right bank of the Vert and climb towards the Cazaurang farm, near the Hourat bridge, to reach the defile between the Sudou peak and the Soom de Liorry. The scenery is grandiose and surprising.

The Lakhoura peak rises imposingly from the horizon, offering a breathtaking spectacle of nature in all its splendor. Located on the border between France and Spain, the Lakhoura peak dominates valleys including the Belagua valley, the Saint-Engrâce valley and the Arres d'Any limestone massif, with peaks such as the Pic d'Arlas, Table des 3 rois, Ansabère and Sierra de Alano. This walk follows the border ridge between Pierre-Saint-Martin and Pic d'Orhy, crossing the gateway to Béarn and Haute-Soule.

Starting from the quai de la Vène, the short hike - indicated by yellow markers - takes you around the Garrigue Plane, above the Agas sheepfold and in a 360° panorama on the windmills. The itinerary goes through the kermes oaks, which cover the foothills of the Aumelas plateau, and leads to a point of view on the blue waters of the Thau pond. The level of difficulty is average, it takes 4 hours of walking for 12 km and 160 m of ascent.

17,5 km, 4 h 15 on foot, 1 h 30 by bike and 2 h 30 on horseback to travel through this circuit whose starting point is General-de-Gaulle. This route will lead you through colorful pastures and fields according to the seasons; on the outskirts of Baulerie, where you will follow a former Roman route, then a green road to La, in the Deer Trail Park (Legendia Park) at Poitevinière. You will see the superb property of the Rousselière with its th century castle, once inhabited by Bertrand-Geslin, mayor of Nantes and close to Napoleon I. Today, the site offers a pleasant forest adventure course, Nature Challenge.

You can't leave Annecy without climbing Mont Veyrier! It's one of the most popular mountains with locals and tourists alike, for its superb views of the lake, surrounding mountains and town. Once you've parked at the Col du Pré Vernet, follow the signs for Mont Veyrier/Mont Baron. You'll start with a steep 40-minute ascent before reaching the top of the cliffs and taking in the view! The descent is via the same route. To prolong the pleasure, continue on to Mont Baron. You can start the hike from Petit Port.

Starting from the village of Saint-Priest-des-Champs, two trails lead to this beautiful waterfall and its 10-metre height: a short 3 km walk and a 9.5 km hike. Both offer a breath of fresh air in the Combrailles undergrowth. Along the way, you'll come across the Pas de Saint-Martin, a legendary hoof trail said to have been left by the saint's horse as it passed by. In summer, it's hard to resist the temptation to dip your feet in the Auzelle, which forms a pool at the foot of the waterfall. The two paths form a loop.

Departing from Artouste, you have access to a variety of organized activities, supervised by professionals, that can take place on a half-day or full-day basis. Among these options, you can choose from hikes ranging from one day to several, with the possibility of spending the night in cabins or tents. Discover Lac d'Artouste and its walks from the train station at the foot of the dam. A 30-minute walk (easy) will take you to the lake. On site, a variety of activities are available for all ages and tastes. Walkers will enjoy the scenery, anglers will have the opportunity to discover Arctic char and fario trout, while children can take part in a treasure hunt with a questionnaire on the fauna, flora and history of the train, complete with information panels. As a bonus, budding explorers will receive a diploma and a gift.

Several walks to do in the surroundings. The Bois Semé circuit starts at the Basilica Notre-Dame de Liesse, passes through the Grand Marais and then from Saint-Boëtien and returns by the village of Missy-lès-Pierrepont and Bois Semé. The circuit of the Ru of the Buze is shorter, it crosses the marshes, along the canals and the ru of the Buze. The hiking of Saint-Boëtien extends from Chivres to Mâchecourt, bypassing the Château-château du Marais and gradually sinking into the funds of the Saint-Boëtien marsh. Finally, St. Augustine's walk, taking to the laonnoise plain, passes through the marshes before continuing in the agricultural field of Sainte-Suzanne. You can choose!

Bibracte, located at Saint-Léger-sous-Beuvray in Burgundy, is an archaeological site and museum well worth a visit. To get there by car, take the A6 freeway and allow around 3 hours 40 minutes from Paris or 2 hours 20 minutes from Lyon. On-site parking is available, with spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility. You can also come by train, arriving at the Creusot-Montceau TGV station and taking a shuttle bus to Autun, then a cab to Bibracte. During the summer, a shuttle bus leaves from Autun and Etang-sur-Arroux. Bibracte offers a unique opportunity to discover the history of the region.

This 1.5 hour walk, for young and old, proposes a path around 3 ponds: Vaillant, du Crêt and du Fort. 4.5 km between woods and fields where you can discover the ponds and all the maintenance they require: dykes, overflow systems, temporary pools, and the protected plant and animal species in this area. The interactive terminals help to understand the link with nature. There are a total of 12 circuits in this area, the longest of which is 45 km long. There is even one for mountain bikers. Attention all enthusiasts!

Since January 2012, the association has opened an antenna in Guignicourt. A new one that should delight walkers. The association organizes an average of 200 trips per year, but also stays from 3 to 8 days for the most for. Raidlight and Benoit Laval, inventors of the Stations de Trail concept back in 2011, are offering the Chartreuse-Trail-Experience, which features routes on the Chartreuse's best itineraries, as well as free equipment testing. Departing from the store, where the team will be happy to advise you, set off on the Chartreuse trails with routes adapted to all levels, from the Kilomètre vertical to beginners' courses, including ski touring and walking.

Join an old hydraulic mill and refresh yourself in the waterholes along the way! Leave at the last houses of the village of Albertacce on the D84. Take the dirt track on your right with the sign for the gîte d'étape and follow the orange markings to reach a crossroads at the Saint-Antoine oratory. Then turn left (signposted Bocca di Vergio) to reach the bridge and the Muricciolu mill. On the way back, you can also take the path left behind at the oratory, which leads back up to Albertacce.

From the hamlet of Canaglia, you will take a track marked with orange markers, which will guide you along a bucolic walk before becoming a path. When the path splits into two opposite ways, you will take the one on the right towards Tolla, which will take you in a few minutes to the beautiful Manganello, a tributary of the Vecchio. Along the stream, the entire route follows the course of its clear water. In spite of their freshness, the less reckless swimmers will not resist for long to the attraction of its sumptuous basins!

It is one of the highest peaks in Corsica, offering a breathtaking view. A nice excursion to make from the Vizzavona pass. At the pass, follow the wooden sign indicating the direction of the Bergeries de Pozzi, located about halfway up this route. From the sheepfolds, head towards Punta Grado by taking the Madonuccia Rock to the east. Then follow the ridge line to the foot of the summit. Be careful, the last few metres, in a crumbly rock, are very difficult to cover.

The starting point for this hike is the Genoese bridge on the outskirts of the village of Asco. The trail passes through a small chestnut grove dotted with the remains of low walls and sheepfolds, then becomes progressively steeper and rockier. A series of ascents and descents await you along the way. At the finish, you'll be lucky enough to discover a small waterfall about 3 metres high. The return journey takes the same route.

The starting point for this hike is the Scalella pass, at an altitude of 1,193 metres. From the pass, head east for about 1 hour 30 minutes, then take the path up to the pozzine (peat bogs). Allow around 2 hours 30 minutes to reach this area. For the more adventurous, it's possible to extend the hike to Lac de Bracca, the source of the U Prunelli river, culminating at 1,777 meters above sea level. However, this variant is more difficult and requires good orientation.

Both sportive and cultural this guided tour, lasting about three hours, is accompanied by a certified sports coach. Through the secret paths of Hyères you will discover the main monuments. Lalouvesc is on the route of the GR 430, Chemin de Saint-Régis, 207 km from Le Puy-en-Velay. Ideal from May to the end of October for this spiritual and mountainous journey. On this trail, two recipes have been awarded the Goûtez l'Ardèche label, including pavé de Saint-Régis, a small cake from the Lalouvesc bakery, available in a range of fillings made with local jams. There's also the Sainte-Thérèse Couderc trail from Lalouvesc, where this Ardéchoise founded the congregation of Notre-Dame du Cénacle to the abbey of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges (180 km).
