Thousands of square meters dedicated to children's books! Enough to satisfy your desire to read, or to immerse yourself in the adventures of multiple characters: this annual fair gives you the opportunity to stock up on novels, picture books, illustrated books or audio books, but also to discover the latest novels from the children's press. Nearly 250 artists are invited to this festival which changes its theme every year.

This show is staged by combinations of Montargeois and Gâtinais engaged on social plan, cultural, media and solidarity. It fell under an alternative and committed approach. For two days, visitors can meet authors and can buy differently with the approach to the festivals and start the debate with other words. Of course, there are spaces booksellers and publishers meetings and debates are furnished with authors. But you should also note the presence of stands run by about local ngos that also offer exhibitions.

This festival dedicated to comics has been going strong for 16 years. A weekend of book signings, meetings, workshops and activities for young and old alike. The festival gets up to date, with screen-printing workshops, digital tablet stands, and free exhibitions in the cellars or at the tourist office. Some twenty authors take part each year. On the program for this 2024 edition: Étienne Willem, Jean-Claude Denis and Elizabeth Holleville.

This is the not-to-be-missed event for all lovers of the ^9th art! On the initiative of the association On a marché sur la bulle (Tintin fans rejoice!), some one hundred authors meet at the Halle Freyssinet for workshops, screenings of live drawings, signings, events and conferences. For the ^25th edition, Cyril Pedrosa signed the poster. Exhibitions on Amiens Cathedral, the Musée de Picardie and Shinichi Ishizuka's Blue Giant manga marked the last edition of the festival.

In Grenoble, the first leaves of spring are sprouting from the pages of books. Printemps du Livre is an event organized by the City of Grenoble and its municipal libraries, in partnership with bookshops. For the ^22nd edition, a host of authors will be on hand for readings, round-table discussions, performances, urban exhibitions and book signings... The association Toulouse Polars du Sud was born from the meeting of book professionals and readers. It organizes evenings, meetings and exhibitions to promote detective literature and to encourage people who are far away from it to read. Its most important event takes place on the second weekend of October with its annual festival: during three days, the noir novel falls on the pink city! Mainly centered in the Mirail district, it also takes place in libraries, media libraries and bookstores in the city center and the surrounding area.

For over thirty years, the Service départemental de la lecture (SDL) has been organizing a storytelling festival. It features renowned storytellers from all over the world, as well as theater companies and professional musicians. The storytellers become tellers of mysterious, funny and moving stories, inspired by dreams or reality. The shows, which are free of charge, tour some forty towns in the département. This festival is a not-to-be-missed event in the Charente, eagerly awaited by all audiences!

Created in 2003, this festival organized by the Colmarian association L'Esprit BD takes place during two days in the superb historical setting of the Koïfhus, in the heart of the old town. It welcomes about twenty comic book authors from Alsace, France and abroad, who willingly comply with signing sessions and drawing demonstrations. The public is invited to stroll through various stands offering comic strips and lithos (new or second-hand) as well as figurines, T-shirts and other merchandise. Thematic exhibitions complete this attractive programme. Enough to bubble with happiness!

The association "Les Croqueurs de Bubbles" organizes its sixth comic festival in Beire-le-Châtel. The program, exhibitions, animations and workshops in the presence of thirty authors, illustrators and scénaristes. Of course, to satisfy this passion that can win everyone, there will be sales stands of BD!

Since 1988, this literary festival is very popular and its godmother is none other than the famous Fred Vargas. This year, the theme "Adventure is adventure" will bring together nearly 35 novelists (literature, youth and comics) of 10 different nationalities for meetings and signings around epics, travels and castles in Spain, quests and escapes, escapes and disappearances. Passionate and curious people will meet great authors of the black novel.

Created by an association bringing together enthusiasts of the 9th Art, Strasbulles is the European comic strip festival in Strasbourg. Alsace Comic Strip (ADB) invites many illustrators from all over Europe to Strasbourg to participate in signing sessions on Place Kléber but also to lead conferences and debate at round tables. Exhibitions in the Aubette salons are also organized. They allow to highlight the fantastic work of the artists and to contemplate their original plates.

It was in 1988 that the very first edition of what would become a few years later an essential event for comic book lovers took place. The Journées de la BD were then organized in Rouans, and each year welcomed authors and illustrators of albums for young and old lovers of bubbles. The opportunity to discover new things, to share your passion with others and to cut the bib with your favorite authors. In 2019, a change of course! The festival is taking place at Le Pellerin; a change that has been repeated for this new edition, which will be held on April 25 and 26 with Margerin as guest of honour, who is also producing the poster. The Festival du Roman Noir in Frontignan, with its program of local and international authors and a growing Occitan approach, is a must this summer. The Sant Jordi festival in Perpignan is a not-to-be-missed event in the literary world. For 10 days, books are in the spotlight with an attractive program including conferences, exhibitions, shows, book fairs and signings, writing workshops, tributes, film screenings and the Mediterranean prize-giving ceremony... As part of Total Festum and the promotion of Occitan culture, the Rencontres de Salinelles is a cultural event focusing on Oc literature and creations. The program includes exhibitions and conferences on a wide range of Occitan cultural themes, "poetic siestas", local music concerts, an Occitan book fair and storytelling for children. Free cultural days for young and old!

Each year, the Salon des livres organized by the city of Caen provides an opportunity to meet about a hundred authors. Each year, Epoch offers readings, signings, workshops and conferences. Ready for the big thrill? Since 2006, the Interpol'Art festival has been the unmissable event for fans of detective stories and noir novels. During its two weeks in October, you will certainly come across famous authors such as Dominique Manotti, Caryl Férrey, Bernard Boudeau... in the City of Rites. Interpol'Art is not only dedicated to literature, the festival is open to all artistic disciplines, whether it be cinema or comics. Although Interpol'Art took a sabbatical year in 2019, it returns this year with an ever rich and varied programme of meetings with authors, signing sessions, round tables, conferences, exhibitions...

From one end of the book chain to the other, there is the author and the bookseller. The first one invents stories, while the second, in his shop, sells what has already been read. This is why organizing the Salon du Livre des Auteurs Indépendants in the heart of the village of Montolieu, where about fifteen second-hand booksellers are installed, is to establish a link, a bridge that connects the same passion: the book.

Since 1991, the association Generation organises its festival. For two weeks in the middle of autumn, in November, literature is at the party. Each year, the work of a new author is chosen and is at the centre of the debate. The Var celebrates Mediterranean literature! Ranked among the largest French literary events, the event brings together thousands of passionate people who come to meet more than 200 authors as well as artists, actors and journalists around the theme of culture in the Mediterranean. The Nuits des Forêts festival returns to the Parc National de Forêts every year in June, with a rich and varied program. The program includes nature outings, musical performances, craft events and nocturnal exhibitions, enabling you to familiarize yourself with the forest after dark. The festival is an opportunity for young and old alike to learn about the fragility of this natural environment, and to discover how it functions and its nocturnal particularities.

On the first Sunday in August, and even from Saturday onwards, the city of Eauze lives to the rhythm of comics through a festival that welcomes many renowned French and foreign authors every year. A key meeting place for lovers of quality bubbles, it attracts around 5,000 people and has become an essential event. In 2019, for the 28th anniversary of the festival, many confirmed artists and emerging talents will once again be present. The Festival will pay tribute to Tintin, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.
