This is the kind of memory that your child will still say in thirty years. The day it was mounted in the big wheel! It is more than 60 metres high and offers a spectacular view of the Champs Elysées, the Tuileries, the Louvre. At Christmas it's the fully lit city that your child can admire from the top of this giant armoury. You can only recommend that you don't take a child who is already worried about a two-metre plunge, otherwise the show may soon turn into a nightmare!

CINÉMA LES VARIÉTÉS

Cinema
3.3/5
3 reviews

The Cinéma Variétés is located not far from the very centre of Nice, and it is easily recognizable by the two large palm trees that stand in front of its entrance. The programming is not very original, there are not many auteur films here, but rather classical productions (which does not hurt), even if there is still a certain majority of French films on the bill. And for foreign films, they are offered in their original version, which is a significant advantage. But its strong point is its price, which is much more reasonable than the large chains nearby. In short, it is an attractive little cinema.

12 rooms, 2 928 armchairs, free parking, legs for the legs, giant screens, digital and gobelets, clim even in winter (?), the Nimes multiplex, like those in the Hexagon, multiplies superlatives to attract spectators. Amateurs of American blockbusters, movies with large shows or special effects, the Kinepolis is your temple! The latest productions will be programmed there. There are also special sessions, filmed retransmissions, such as the opening of the Cannes Festival, 3 D films, mythical concerts, TV series, sports events, etc. In smaller rooms, the author cinema is somewhat represented. Priceless, the pop-corn shop, sodas and other sweets await you in the lobby where the rows of windows with posters, technical sheets and summaries of films help you make your choice if you are not yet fixed. The commercial area around Kinepolis includes bars, bowling, restaurants for the front or after meetings. LE SAINT-MICHEL FRENCH CABARET

You dreamed it, the Saint-Michel French Cabaret did this, this unique and exceptional place that has absolutely nothing to envy the Moulin Rouge, Lido and other major institutions of Paris, and which lies on the route of the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay, 10 minutes from the mount and 25 minutes from Saint-Malo. And it is certainly one of the greatest regional events of the year - opening scheduled at the end of July 2009 -… with him, place to dream, surprise, wonder, novelty. The cabaret can accommodate 200 seated people and 400 people for cocktails, it includes a lounge bar and a regional shop (souvenirs, fine groceries, wine cellar…), and is accessible for disabled people. It offers two hours of a magical spectacle of quality (with magic, transformistes, chanteurs singers, burlesque…) which will make you feel happy while admiring the elegant and refined cuisine, true treats for the taste buds (homemade gras and his fig jam and gingerbread jam, beef filet with the cream of morels and his vegetable topping). Several formulas can be offered and, on request, it is possible to organize shows for older guests. A great address to not miss under any pretext!

The Ciné Jaude is located on the third and last floor of the Jaude 1 shopping center. The acidulous colors of the Ciné Alpes group have invaded the premises in the same way as the Ciné Dôme. The cinema has seven very comfortable rooms. One room is equipped with Dolby atmos sound and the EclairColor projection process, a new broadcasting technology that ensures unprecedented viewing quality. Enough to satisfy the moviegoers of the city center of Clermont-Ferrand, even if we still prefer the Capitole and the ambiances for more original programs and the Paris for the size of the rooms and the screens. THÉÂTRE HÉBERTOT

Theater

2 reviews

First of all, you'll be seduced by the appearance of this theatre on a boulevard with a lot of land. And inside, in this Italian room of 630 places, the charm continues. The theatre des Batignolles was opened in 1838. He became the Theatre of the Arts in 1907 and then took the name of his new director in 1940. A playwright and journalist, Jacques Hébertot already directed the Théâtre-Elysées theatre from 1920 to 1924. In 1946, during a large renovation of the theatre, the staircase ramps installed on the sides of the building and the letters H appeared throughout the site. Other notable productions: The two-head Eagle, from Jean Cocteau with Edwige Feuillère and Jean Marais, Les Juste, by Albert Camus, with Serge Reggiani, Green Queen, Maurice Béjart comédie with Maria Casarès and Jean Babilée, this strange animal, Gabriel Arout, according to Tchékhov, with Delphine Seyrig and Jean Rochefort.

After Jacques Hébertot's death in 1970, Jean-Claude Brialy was run in the theatre. In 2003, Danièle and Pierre Franck were at his head. At the end of 2013 Francis Lombrail became the new theatre director.

Among the pieces that have been seen in recent years, note: Less 2, of Samuel Benchetrit with Jean-Louis Trintignant, stage exit, of Nicolas Bedos, with Guy Bedos, The King is dying, of Eugène Ionesco…

Note that the room was renovated in 2010. The second room, the Petit Hébertot, is led by Xavier Jaillard.

It's a legendary venue where some of the greatest names in jazz have performed, starting with Art Blakey on the night it opened in 1981. There are three rooms at this address: XXL - 345 seats -, XL - 96 seats - and Le Lab - 90 seats - as well as rehearsal studios. Various companies present their shows. The history of the Ménilmontant theatre dates back to 1877 when two halls in the area are successively open for Saint Peter's patronage and the Salésiens fathers. There are numerous performances of children, teenagers and adults. Then there are "Passions", "Mysteries", "Mystères" sessions and "light projections", patriotic pieces, comedy, drama, lyrical performances, operettas… The current address was inaugurated in 1929. A former mentor, actor Georges Chamarat, is assembling pieces. In 1932, Passion was created in Ménilmontant, a show played by residents of the neighborhood who enjoyed a long success. In 1958, before founding the Théâtre de l'Est Paris, Guy Rétoré and his Guild settled in this theatre to which they gave their name today. The NPT of Jean Vilar also plays there. From the 1970 s, the Théâtre theatre opened to the song: Félix Leclerc, Graeme Allwright, Mouloudji… In 1979, a Théâtre Theatre Workshop was launched. And the adventure still continues today. This place must have grace!

On in blue chairs, lunettes glasses on the nose (Michou style), guaranteed hen meat during the show hour. A look at spectators for smile: it is not uncommon for hands or arms to spiral in face protection! This process, which is courageous moreover, but not heart, makes a tower in the Keel Dynamic. Far from mastodons multiplexes, it is good to find ourselves in this old cinema, first to offer the 3 D HFR in Thiérache! In the lobby you can admire old projectors and choose your sweets, drinks and pop-corn. Films are most often in national output and regularly take the lead. We also welcome the cultural approach: opera and concerts retransmissions the city. Similarly, Art and Trial also finds its place in special sessions. Old and old have slots reserved for a canvas. A real dynamic cinema. Bravo!

Closed - Open to 23h30

La Java has a rich history. A small dance hall opened in 1923 at the back of the Palais du Commerce, a gallery now listed as a historic monument, it saw the debut of Edith Piaf. Celebrities such as Django Reinhardt and Jean Gabin also frequented it. Later, it became a discotheque. In the 1980s, it was the scene of sixties and indie rock revivals. The Hot Pants, for example, were Manu Chao's first band. There were other dance evenings, this time with a Latin flavour. Since 2006, the venue has been divided between concerts and clubbing.

Ideally located on the Old Port in the heart of the Kev Adams space, you will find here a friendly, intimate room, allowing you to be close to the artists on stage. The cream of the local scene, recognized or not, headliners and a very nice atmosphere for the stand-up evenings which allow to reveal the talents of tomorrow. Marseille is rich in talent at this level - also and places like the Comédie Club Vieux-Port allow the blossoming of these nuggets!
