La Côte des Baobabs is a tour that allows you to discover the south-western coast of the Big Island, with the different species of Baobabs that exist on the island, as well as the famous Allée des Baobabs, the Sacred Baobabs, the Baobab Amoureux and several Baobab forests, the best-known of which is the Andavadaoka forest with its tattooed Baobabs. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park and take a barge down the Tsiribihina River to immerse yourself in nature and the local population.

Day 1: Airport - Tana

Welcome at the airport, transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Tana - Antsirabe

Steps: Antsirabe

Morning departure for Route Nationale 7, commonly known as the Route du Sud, stopping at Antsirabe, 170 km from the capital. We're in the Vakinankaratra region. Short stopover in the small town of Ambatolampy, capital of the mimosa (flowering in July/August) and renowned for the Ankaratra massif as the third highest point on the Grande île; famous for its foundries and artisanal distilleries. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Antsirabe - Miandrivazo

Steps: Miandrivazo

After breakfast, we set off by car to visit the volcanic lake of Tritriva and Andraikiba, as well as the village of Betafo. Then on to the western road, with its varied landscapes, and finally to the arid landscape for a four-hour drive. Night in hotel.

Day 4: Tsiribihina - River journey

Morning transfer to Masiakampy pier, then barge down the Tsiribihina River. Overnight bivouac on the river's sandbanks.

Day 5: Journey on the Tsiribihina River

Visit the waterfall and swim, visit the village of Begidro and meet the villagers, see crocodiles and bats, evening entertainment and meal specially prepared by the guide. Night in bivouac.

Day 6: Belo sur Tsiribihina - Bekopaka

Arrive in Belo sur Tsiribihina at midday on day 3, transfer by 4x4 to Bekopaka, the village near the Tsingy National Park. Overnight in hotel.

Day 7: Tsingy Bemaraha National Park

A day of sightseeing and hiking in Bemaraha National Park, in the morning visiting Andamozavaky or the Grands Tsingy (4-hour walk), in the afternoon visiting Andadoany or the petits Tsingy (1? hours). Overnight at the same hotel.

Day 8: Bekopaka - Morondava

Morning departure for Morondava, lunch at Belo sur Tsiribihina, then on to Morondava via the great Sacred Baobab, the Loving Baobab and Baobab avenues. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Morondava - Belo sur Mer

Morning departure for a three-hour drive to the fishing village of Belo sur Mer. Overnight at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure

Day 10: Belo sur Mer - Andavadoaka

Continuing along the Baobab Coast, this time the road links Belo sur Mer to Andavadoaka. A ten-minute ferry crossing, before starting on the coastal track.

As you approach Morombe, the baobabs still form the main part of the landscape. Morombe is famous for its giant baobab, measuring almost 20 metres in circumference. On the road to Andavadoaka, we pass through a baobab forest... Like the Allée des Baobabs, majestic trees flirt with the sky. A waking dream for visitors... A sense of the infinitesimal importance of human beings in the face of the immensity of nature... Overnight at hotel

Day 11: Andavadoaka - Ambatomiloha

We take a two-hour sandy track to reach the paradise lagoon of Ambatomiloha.

On arrival in Ambatomiloha, a small village of white sand and wooden houses, your guide will settle you into your hotel. Afternoon at leisure: you can relax after a few days on the road... or visit the surrounding area.

Day 12: Ambatomiloha

A day of rest, to take full advantage of the tranquility, the sea, the fine sand and the beauty of the landscape.

Heavenly beaches, the emerald blue of the Mozambique Channel, fishing boats sailing on water of incomparable purity, Vezo women busy with their various activities... Experience the change of scenery and tranquillity of the Big Island. Overnight in the same hotel.

Day 13: Ambatomiloha - Tuléar - Antananarivo

Transfer to the airport and flight to Tana on the Tuléar-Tana flight. Overnight at hotel

Day 14: Tana - Country of origin

City tour and souvenir shopping as time permits, then transfer to the airport.
