Day 1: Discovering the North

Departure from Mayotte with its pretty bangas all nicely decorated and inhabited by teenagers trying to seduce young girls. Enjoy the magical views of the northern islets and their turquoise waters (try to take advantage of low tides, this is when you will see the most beautiful shades of the lagoon) and return through the center of the island with its bush, its ylang-ylang plantations, its stills, its forests of cinnamon trees.)

Day 2: Dolphin safari or whale

Nothing like this is the season, to explore the most beautiful islands, with their beautiful beaches. Take advantage of the marins (palmes, masque and snorkeling) of their seabed populated with colorful fish, coraux corals. as a family, the palmated hiking is a perfect framed activity for all levels of practice. And you'll surely have the chance to see dolphins or whales.

Day 3: Departure to the south of Mayotte

Steps: Bandrélé

Stop in front of the biggest baobab tree at Musical Plage. Visit of thesalt eco-museum in Bandrélé with its famous mamas shingos who will initiate you to the harvesting of salt from the mangrove thanks to an ancestral know-how which is passed on from generation to generation; then direction of the Salizey point for a walk at the foot of its majestic baobabs. The hiking trail leads to a succession of beaches with beautiful drop-offs. Why not take this trip with the naturalists of Mayotte? They also offer to bivouac on site in the evening.

Day 4: Day Hiking

Mount Choungui in the south of the island, attention to the last meters!

Day 5: Exploration of the seabed

In "S" or other dive spots according to the chosen club and enjoy one of the world's largest enclosed lagoons.

Day 6: Discovering the South

Steps: KaNi Kéli - Plage De N'Gouja

Go along the whole southern hand with its padzas, completely eroded pieces of land on the whole southern point, and stop under the baobabs at N'gouja to swim in the company of the big green turtles that spend their day grazing on the sea grass facing the beach (at rising tide). A unique moment!

Day 7: Turtle observation

Steps: M'Tsamoudou

Possibility of bivouac on Sazilé in order to attend the laying of turtles under the starry night (respect the instructions not to disturb them).

Day 8: Discovery of the peninsula of Bouéni

Steps: M'Tsamoudou

Return from Sazilé during the day, then to the Ylang and Vanilla Ecomuseum with its botanical trail.

Day 9: Centre of the island

Steps: Combani

With its lush, moist forest, its bush, then little walk towards Combani to discover the different species of Maoré. Plantations-ylang, canneliers or giant bamboo plantations are at your disposal. Do not hesitate to stop in front of stills. In this way, you will be able to purchase from the small local producers their extracts from ylang-ylang.

Day 10: Kayaking along the lagoon

Steps: Plage De Sakouli

Go to Sakouli to see the turtles come out of the water to breathe or go along the fringing reef and admire the beauty of the underwater world by paddle or snorkel. It is also possible to rent kayaks to go to the Bandrélé islet in 30-45 minutes. Plan to spend the day there as the crossings are only possible at high tide.

Day 11: Flight over the island in a microlight

Steps: Mamoudzou

In order to immortalize Maoré and its lagoon with its islet of Sable-Blanc or the astonishing mount Choungui! It is also possible to prefer a new nautical outing to appreciate the treasures of the lagoon, we never get tired of it!

Day 12: Shopping day

Steps: Mamoudzou

Half day in Mamoudzou, "shopping" in its shops or on its covered market to discover the thousand and one spices, fruits and vegetables that dress the stalls, like nutmeg, cloves, pepper, cinnamon, bananas, breadfruit, cassava, papaya, mangoes, pineapples. Then discovery on foot of its sacred place with the Mahabou point where is the tomb of the last sultan of Mayotte, Andriantsouly. Meeting at the barge to reach Petite-Terre, good food at noon and a nap on the beach. First night on Petite-Terre.

Day 13: Discovery of Dzaoudzi

Steps: Pamandzi-Labattoir, Mamoudzou

With the "Rocher" district, where the first settlers settled, and a visit to the colonial buildings, including the "Residence", the plans of which were drawn by Gustave Eiffel. Then climb to the top of Lake Dziani with jade water, which is located in the crater of an ancient volcano. Then it's time for a swim on Moya Beach, located on the outer barrier reef of the lagoon.
