Day 1: Towards the old kingdoms
Steps: Anuradhapura, Ritigala
Departure for the circuit of the old kingdoms, with a stop to Ritigala hermitages, punctuated by a chaussée chaussée in a jungle reserve where wild elephants abound. Arrival in Anuradhapura late in the day.
Day 2: Anuradhapura
Walk through the ruins of Anuradhapura, capital of the Rajarata kingdom from the 4th century BC to the 11th century AD, and monastic centre of Theravada Buddhism.
Day 3: Polonnaruwa
Steps: Polonnaruwa
Transfer to Polonnaruwa, the island's former religious and cultural capital in the 12th century for a full visit of the historic site, with its temples, monasteries and museum
Day 4: Towards Sigiriya
Steps: Anuradhapura, Sigiriya
Rest on the edges of the lake. In the evening, leave for Sigiriya to take the ascent of the citadel from dawn.

Day 6: Et and Kandy
Direction Naturelle nature reserve in the morning to explore the wild elephants, then departure to Kandy. On the road, stop at Cave Cave Temple.
Day 7: Back to Colombo
Visit of the Dent and return to the capital.
