How to get there - Accra
Visit Accra
Steps: Accra
Visit to the National Museum of Ghana, lunch, then a stroll through the old quarter of Jamestown. If there's any time left, spend it at the Makola market , where you'll be immersed in the local atmosphere. Overnight in Accra.

Winneba, coastal town

Leisurely departure from Accra for Winneba, a lazy day on the beach to finish acclimatizing to the country. Overnight in Winneba.
Visit the ancient capital
Steps: Cape Coast
En route to Cape Coast, visit the fort, stroll through the old town and visit the markets. Overnight in Cape Coast.
Colonial remains in Elmina
Steps: Elmina
From Cape Coast, it's only a few kilometers to Elmina. Visit the Java Museum and Elmina's two forts, including Fort São Jorge. Overnight in Elmina.
Lazing on the beach
Portuguese fortress of Axim

The drive along the coast continues. Rise at dawn and visitAxim, its fort and traditional fishing port. Lunch at the Axim Beach Hotel, to enjoy the magnificent panorama and possibly the beach. Return to Cape Coast before nightfall.
