This small, ultra-authentic falafel restaurant is very much in keeping with the North Laine mentality. Mediterranean products take pride of place here, and wraps or pitas are classics to be accompanied by halloumi, avocado, hummus, olives, salads and more. The best thing to do is to take away and eat while discovering the neighborhood. And the special thing about this place is that it serves falafel, vegan and vegetarian dishes. Amal, the owner, grew up in the Middle East and shares his passion with fervor.

The Lion & Lobster has everything to please and offers an excellent food ad. He has even received awards for his cuisine based on ingredients from local producers. Its roof terrace and long, lively wooden bar make it one of the local people's favourite meeting places, which appreciate its relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere. And we have to say that so do we. Long list of wines and champagne, wide choice of traditional beers. It's really a must in the area. It is one of the oldest pubs in Brighton, just by the sea.

Cocktails, glass glasses and bottled of beer are on the map of this lounge bar, located in Ocean Village, on Southampton Harbour. We're going to start the evening on the water in a lively atmosphere, sipping colorful and colourful snacks.

It's THE local channel, a real institution in Oxford. There are three establishments spread out in the city, impossible to miss their black and white front, imitation cow. We've fallen in love with this place, where you'll feel right at home, just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

The indisputable Bankers, considered the best fish & chips in Brighton for years, doesn't disappoint. The quality is always there, in this great Hove restaurant. And, for once, you can enjoy your fish & chips comfortably seated at the table. A vegetarian option is also available. Whichever option you choose, the portions are generous and the service very quick. What's more, the restaurant only uses fish from sustainable fisheries. A fine effort to be encouraged!

In this traditional pub, draught beer comes from Beacy Head Brewery, a few miles away. The burgers and steaks served at lunch are excellent and the place is rather appreciated by slocaux. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Already mentioned as a hotel, the hotel offers a number of dining rooms where you can enjoy a delicious cuisine. The menus are varied and change daily according to local products. In the summer you can eat in the garden. In the winter, we are still warm in front of small wooden tables, between engravings, books and antique buckets suspended at the walls.

In a typically American atmosphere reminiscent of Louisiana, you will be served des (traditional jambalaya) and Creole specialities. The reception is more than pleasant, but the music is sometimes a bit strong. For the record, at the time of opening, six years ago, the institution received the mayor of New Orleans who, for the occasion, gave the owners a medal.

In addition to enjoying a stunning view over the beach, the address is renowned for freshly caught and cooked lobster and lobster. We also come here for local beers or for the cakes and cream of cream served all day.

Renowned and well known by locals, it's always busy and there's hardly anywhere to sit, so you'll certainly have to take away, but the result is highly convincing. The burgers are succulent, whether you're looking for meat or vegetarian. The house does not make fries. Reviews on the internet are rave reviews. Not to be missed!

Iydea is a very popular destination in North Laine for fast food and vegetarian meals. It is one of the best addresses in the Brighton vegetative scene. The lunch package includes a main course, two salads and two toppings (hummus, chutney, etc....). The dishes are delicious and very hearty. The room with yellow walls and quite small and you can take away at a lower cost, a good option in good weather to land on the beach, for example. The menu changes every day to adapt to seasonal products.

In Oxford's charming indoor market, this is the perfect address if you're looking for a salad or a really good sandwich made with quality, seasonal organic produce. You can also enjoy a coffee break, herbal tea, fruit juice or tea. It's all good. This little stand is a real paradise, and is widely acclaimed by the locals. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. It's definitely the place to stop for lunch if you're in Oxford just for the day. The staff are ultra friendly.

Right in the heart of Oxford, The White Rabbit (a nod to Alice in Wonderland) offers excellent value for money in its small, white-walled room. With paninis at lunchtime and pizzas all day, there's something for everyone, and a wide variety of recipes. In addition to the classic margherita and quatro fromaggi, there are a number of highly original formulas to choose from, with over 20 options. The perfect lunch break just a stone's throw from the Ashmolean Museum. The waiters are very friendly.

A small Japanese eatery in the heart of Brighton, Pompoko serves good food at reasonable prices and has built up a loyal clientele of students and locals who appreciate the informal atmosphere and varied menu. Space is limited and reservations are not possible, so it's sometimes difficult to get a table if you're a large group. On the plus side, you can bring your own booze, and the corkage fee of £1 applies not per bottle but per head, which can be very profitable. If you're craving Japanese cuisine, go for it!

A true culinary representative of the USA in Brighton, JB's has gone all out on the decor, with a profusion of movie references, neon advertising, license plates, a statue of Uncle Sam and so many other little details. Black and white tiles and red banquettes complete the decor, while the American staff serves breakfasts, burgers, wraps, hot dogs, steaks and salads. The milkshakes and coffee are also excellent. A real trip to the USA without leaving Brighton.

The location alone is a delight, on a small island in the middle of the Thames. But it's the food that really makes the magic happen: The Folly is an excellent, almost gourmet restaurant, with a tempting, well-mastered menu. Options include a mini-cruise, accompanied by a glass of Prosecco, to admire Oxford's sights from the water. The 40-minute cruise is followed by a delicious 3-course meal.

Just off Regency Square and facing the old burnt pier, the New Club is a modern, urban address in a vast room with large bay windows on the waterfront. Brunch, salads, burgers and meats are the specialties here, and the place fills up fast on weekends. The plates are well presented and the food carefully prepared. The staff are very attentive. They try to recreate quality American cuisine, inspired by their travels in New York. A long list of cocktails, wines, beers and artisanal ciders.

It's probably one of the best Italian restaurants in town, and its small dining room is often packed - and it's easy to see why. This family-run restaurant of Neapolitan origin masters its menu perfectly, concocting good pizzas, pastas, salads and panuozzo breads, filled and tasty. The walls are covered with grocery products, giving the place an authentic atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive to your every need. It's a long way from Brighton by the end of the meal...

Take the opportunity to visit St. Mary The Virgin Church next door. Climb to the top of the tower for a splendid view of Oxford.

The menu changes every month, always featuring meat, fish and a vegetarian dish. You'll appreciate the warm welcome.

Just a stone's throw from the Yarmouth Pier, this traditional pub is a pleasant, friendly place to take a break and enjoy a meal at any time of day. In the back streets of St Leonards-on-Sea, just outside Hastings, this restaurant is renowned for its delicious home-cooked food, using fresh, local produce. This iconic and authentic British restaurant, created by Margaret Banfield, is set amidst the "Net Shops" of old Hastings, the large black wooden huts unique to Hastings, where fishermen stored their fishing tackle. The view over the harbour is superb. Maggie's has been serving traditional fish and chips for over 30 years, using fresh fish caught less than 30 kilometers away. A must-visit address if you haven't yet tasted this genuine British specialty!

Housed in a former woollen mill, this microbrewery, pub and restaurant is one of Southampton's must-visit spots for local beer and typical British fare. Aidan, the brewer and owner, has created over 15 different types of beer, available from the tap or in bottles. For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy authentic pies, burgers and all kinds of grilled meats (ribs, wings...) accompanied by vegetables or fries. The food is a little pricey but tasty, and we love the atmosphere and the music.

Established on the seafront since the 1720s, along the England Coast Path, this historic establishment is the closest pub to France. With its old first-aid station look, this pub offers typical British Kent cuisine. Meat and fish dishes are served with vegetables, shellfish and the famous fish and chips. A vegan menu is available, as is the traditional Sunday Roast on Sundays. Live music sessions, quiz nights and even open-air cinema take place all year round.

A mecca for student life, we love spending time in this relaxed pub. It's spacious and there's plenty of room for everyone. The 6 draught beers change regularly, and the menu, typical of a modern pub (brunch, English breakfast, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches...), is affordable. On weekends and when matches are on, the atmosphere is often over-the-top! It's a great opportunity to meet and socialize with the locals.
