Ah, how far away is the good old days when shopping malls didn't exist! The Covered Market takes us back to that blessed era, when small traders used to live side by side under pretty glass roofs. Between Market Street and High Street, this very lively covered market has a multitude of small shops that sell everything: food, clothes, postcards, decorative objects more or less offbeat but always fashionable. We love these covered markets that are found in every city. This is England too!

The name says it all, this Lanes tearoom is the place to go for an afternoon break, to enjoy cakes, scones, cakes, snacks and soups, with a cup of tea or coffee. Of course, scones are served with delicious Devon cream and a cup of tea. The decor is kitsch and British. We love the little white front with its blue and white curtain. What's more, the staff are very friendly and make it easy to have a good time.

Drink a good craft (and local!) beer in front of a sublime sunset, that's what you can do by sitting on the terrace of this seaside micro-brewery. A must in Margate for all lovers of lagers, brown ales and ciders... The choice is vast! You can even pass the time with one of the board games. A friendly bar where beer novices can be perfectly advised to find the taste that suits them best. Wine, cocktails and soft drinks are also on the menu.
