What an incredible history this hall has, a marvel of metal architecture created by the Eiffel workshops and imagined by Tony Garnier! Formerly a cattle market, the hall has become a veritable cathedral of iron and glass built on a stone base. In "normal" times, the hall seats 5,000 and welcomes the biggest stars.

The region's biggest bowling alley in the heart of Lyon is still going strong, easily accessible by streetcar T4 to the Jet d'Eau-Mendès France stop. In a vast converted hangar, 30 bowling lanes are available for strikes with the whole family - from 3 years upwards - or with friends. The billiards area is almost as large, with 17 tables for friends to play on. Not to mention a number of video games for a different kind of thrill, and a bar for a break. Attention, this renovated room has a large 211 seats, its Dolby Digital Suround EX sound, a magnetic loop for the hearing impaired, etc. Besides the big films of the moment, the interest of this room is also in its «alternative» programming with each week, different short films in the first part of the film and the famous CHAT sessions (yesterday Cinema)., from Today and Always), one Tuesday a month, with films in VO. New venue, new scene for a quality dinner dinner at the Domaine Le Gallic in Ternay, not far from Lyon. A novelty that we learned when the comic crew of Magik Distingo was a party on the summer tour. So we couldn't test this new place where you eat fun, but we'll certainly go back to the back of the comics and magicians. An address to discover and a show to rediscover.

Le Petit Théâtre led by Janine Berdin still presents young, dynamic and entertaining shows for the pleasure of all audiences. As its name indicates, this Little Pocket Theatre is not very large, but its human size facilitates rapprochement with all the public, especially school students who can analyze the game of the actors under all the seams and almost under their noses! Traditionally, each representation is followed by an exchange between actors and public in a friendly relationship.

A big lift for this district bar, which has taken advantage of a new sidewalk to set up a beautiful terrace which always drains many used to the time of the black or lunch (dish day, family kitchen). P'tit Vert lost, in part, its colors of SA Saint Etienne but gained in "beauty" and clarity. Its counter lost a little length, the tables won space, broken white walls, apparent stones, wood and metal for tables and chairs. There is an atmosphere of pleasant neighbourhood bistro in a somewhat deserted corner by the terraces.

It's like stepping back in time (even though you haven't started drinking yet...). Right in the heart of the historic district of Vieux Lyon, with a terrace under the lime tree when the weather's fine, this cocktail bar transports us to the heart of the Italian Renaissance, while at the same time pumping modern-day sound into our ears. You'll feel right at home at Le Florian, thanks to the convivial yet hushed, relaxed yet elegant ambience of the tastefully arranged glasses. All the classics, but above all in-house creations by creative mixologists who are always ready to listen. Plates to accompany cocktails. Smart spot.

For newcomers and oldtimers alike, let's say that the Logo is a mix - that's good - between the Pearl - a sharp electro club - and the Sound Factory - a young club. So the Logo is looking to capture an older clientele who have stayed young enough to listen to good sound. Admission is said to be "free" before a certain time, but the drinks "beat up" quite a bit for an evening that can cost you a lot in the end. Nevertheless, the programming is one of the most interesting with, notably, JB Nightraffic in residence and some notable passages, such as Joris Delacroix.

Sharing the joy. 100% solidarity with this chain of cafés whose mission is to work daily and concretely for the inclusion of people with disabilities, in this case mental and cognitive, through work, vocational training and meeting other people in this happy place. At wide-open hours, from breakfast to afternoon tea, people come to drink a Joyeux coffee (Le Rayonnant, also available for sale) or a Joyeux tea (made by Betjeman & Barton) accompanied by a homemade delicacy. It is not a Roman orgy that Futé invites you, but at a musical banquet that takes place at the Caesar Table. The frame is simply magic. Imagine the night falling on Vienna shaved by the sunset. Théâtre Carré 30 is a small theater in the heart of Lyon. Since its creation five years ago, it has welcomed Lyon-based and emerging companies, offering a first opportunity for young artists to present their work to the public. The theater's programming is diverse, ranging from contemporary theater and improvisation to concerts and shows for young audiences. With only 30 tiered seats, intimacy is guaranteed and allows impressive proximity to the actors. Audiences often have the opportunity to meet the actors and share their impressions over a complimentary post-show drink. The theater also offers escape games on Heritage Days. To support this artistic initiative, the theater is looking for volunteers for the coming season.

KoToPo is an international cultural space. It is a cultural association offering a wide range of activities and events. KoToPo has several spaces, including a large meeting room with a mezzanine, a bar-café-snack bar, a multilingual library, music from other parts of the world, world games and language courses. KoToPo is run by the "Mille et une langues" association, which aims to promote the diversity of the world's languages and cultures. Volunteers are welcome to take part in the activities and contribute to the development of the place.

The Guignol de la rue Carrand could just as easily draw the curtain following the departure of the Zonzons company - remote by the municipality whose relationship with Guignol still seems problematic… - with whom Guignol and his entire troupe (we must know that the puppets belong to the city…) had spent so many years. Let's say it all go, it wasn't going to happen like that! We are Lyon and Guignol is part of the heritage. Fortunately, the MA company took over the torch (we hope it won't stop) and we could attend a representation of Guignol and the 40 seats, "pestacle" programmed until June. We will probably have to wait until the spring to learn more about the fate of this beautiful house dedicated to Guignol which, we hope, will continue to live without ever becoming a museum!

The creators of Odysseus, Julien and Pierre-Olivier, break the codes of the escape game to get your neurons firing, even on Sundays! 3 rooms, 3 "episodes" of an adventure (you can do just one episode or all 3!) that takes you to a laboratory in 1915, a Nazi castle in the middle of the Second World War and the offices of the CIA during the Cold War. No agonizing timer, but a score system. English adventurers welcome. It's up to you to save the world!

In the world of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, Justin has had fun breaking codes by bringing a touch of craziness to our evenings. In fact, Justin won the prize for best party bar in Lyon at the Lyon d'Or 2023 awards. A superb terrace that transforms into a beach bar in summer, where you can cool off with a famous aniseed drink, and into a ski slope in winter, when gondolas allow you to drink mulled wine... in the warmth.
