Established in 2022 on Cours Jovin Bouchard, Edgar is a young enthusiast who has perfectly transmitted his philosophy to his business: wine is synonymous with emotion, and each bottle tells a story. Nearly 400 references are on offer, including a selection from small winemakers who produce natural wines. You can buy the vintage of your choice... or taste it on the spot! Ever heard of a beer cellar? Well, we've spotted La Cave du Malt, located in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, which puts beer in the spotlight, offering a wide range of unusual nectars such as nettle beer, wine beer and whisky beer. Jean-Philippe goes in search of treasures throughout the region and offers a wide choice of beers, both classic and unusual. But that's not all: on Friday evenings, the cellar opens its doors and invites you to share a themed evening of mainly local beers, accompanied by terrines, saucissons and cheeses. An excellent way to start the weekend!

The reputation of the Jullien Frères establishments created in 1899 is well established. When you enter this cellar, you will find a large choice of wines, champagnes and spirits. Thus, in front of your eyes, you will be able to see several hundreds of bottles. And there is something for every budget and every taste: from organic to small wines, through great wines. In short, whether you are a novice or an amateur of these beverages, you will be able to choose the bottle that best suits your desires and that will satisfy your taste buds.

They are blondes, redheads and brunettes and they are not the waitresses of the brewery La Canaille but the craft beers brewed in these places. Installed in a building with an industrial past, this brewery carried by Greg and Marion advocates the local and the well done work. The beers, with names as funny as they are provocative, each claim their own character. You can store at the boutique, while the bar offers the opportunity to end the week in a good mood, in a warm room or on the terrace with a guinguette look. We love it!

A winemaker converted to organic farming that produces white and red saint Joseph. The cellar is located in a typical stone house in Du. AOP Et and PGI of Eleven Viognier Hills, Syrah… Vineyards grown in Certified Organic Agriculture since 2002.

The name is a bit technical: a cempote is a barrel with a capacity of about 104 litres. The same one that can be found on the sign of the establishment! In Châteaucreux, the Cempote is above all two areas: on one side a well-stocked wine and spirits cellar with more than 700 references chosen by the sommelier Alex Liotard, and on the other a cheese bar with a selection of French cheese, local cochonnaille and black pork from Bigorre, seafood, and some salads also served at lunchtime. And you can combine the two: choose your bottle directly from the cellar to accompany your cheese board and enjoy them with or without friends!

Les Gueules d'Orge is a community bar and urban brewery that produces 100% organic and local beers. The idea came from Mathieu Lesueur and Aurélien Desert, two friends who had been dreaming of this project for a long time. They produce 5 different beer recipes, with new ones on the way! The project is based on genuine environmental convictions: the beers are delivered by cargo bike to Saint-Etienne. The bar is open on Thursdays, and is a real place of life punctuated by various events, such as concerts.

And this is the wine industry in urban times. Opened by three wine enthusiasts, La Vinifacture proposes a very original approach. In Saint-Etienne are assembled the productions of friendly winegrowers, who supply the juices. Sainté mon amour, La Syrah Canon, don't tell anyone: original wines are made on site. La Vinifacture also proposes to its customers to make their own wine, by making their own blends. This winegrower - at the head of a family estate created in 1920 - is very famous for his production of Condrieu, including La Petite Côte and Les Chaillets, one of the best of the appellation, his red Saint Joseph cuvée "L'Amarybelle vieilles vignes" and the "Grande Cuvée Les Serines", without forgetting the white Saint Joseph made with old marsanne vines. This cellar offers a wide range of French red, rosé and white wines selected directly from producers. Two thirds of them are organic. Domaine Serol in Renaison is a family heritage handed down with passion for five generations. It has a wide range from all the vineyards of France: more than 300 references among wines of winegrowers, champagnes and spirits that you will sometimes find nowhere else in Saint-Étienne. So, remember to visit him in the rue François-Gillet, a little off the beaten track, which is sometimes forgotten. The address is worth a visit!

Since 1998, Patrick Gerbaud, Pierre Gagnaire's former sommelier, has been unearthing the best French and foreign wines for you. Corbières pompadour, romanée-conti... You will find wines at all prices, knowing that some of them are little treasures. He will be able to give you the best advice according to your desires and your budget. This virtuoso sommelier - nicknamed "fin révélateur" (revealing fineness) - is a master of the art of wine tasting... fine taster" - goes himself to the vineyards to present his own selection, the best of French production. Out of sight, in ideal storage conditions, the bottles rest in two vaulted cellars where Patrick Gerbaud offers tastings throughout the year on a variety of themes. He also has a limited but very relevant choice of whiskies, with the classic Cutty Sark, the Breton Eddu or Czech Hammerhead whisky.

In a beautiful wood-framed establishment, the Brasserie du Pilat is part of a remarkable setting with a terrace opening onto the surrounding countryside. Visits to the brewery are possible to discover the production of this entirely organic drink. The brewery is traditional and the beers, balanced between malty and fruity notes, are brewed with spring water from the Monts du Pilat. Unpasteurized and unfiltered, you will find at the Brasserie du Pilat 8 different beers: 5 blondes and 3 amber as well as seasonal beers such as Giboulée or Fleur de Noël. All beers are produced from malt, spices and hops.

Didier Morion, a passionate independent winegrower, manages his 11 ha of vineyards with a masterful hand. His first vintage was born in 1993. Since then, he has never ceased to improve the quality of his products, which are made with the help of state-of-the-art techniques. AOP Condrieu with the Vents d'Anges or a sweet viognier with the cuvée Maëllyse. 5,5 ha of the domain are in Saint Joseph, roussane and marsanne grapes, and produce the cuvée "Cranilles". A top of the range wine as we like them. Also white Sarments in Vin de Pays and Gaby, a sweet viognier.

Following the family tradition and attached to his terroir, Maxime Verzier proposes: Condrieu Authentic in organic and biodynamic methods on the hillsides overlooking Chavanay; Saint-Joseph on the Blondeau and Ballustre plots facing the Pilat and old Syrah vines on the famous Madone d'Izeras plot. Also to be discovered are Connivence, Bohème and Syrah, IGP des Collines Rhodaniennes, almost all of which are sold out. On the Seyssuel side, a 100% Syrah cuvée called Première Lueur. The oldest domain of Chavanay finds its origins in 1797. An ancestral know-how - historical domain of the côte-rôtie AOP -, exceptional vines developed by Romain Decelle who converted the domain to organic viticulture. In an extraordinary setting, De Boisseyt has 11 hectares of vines to produce Côte-Rôtie "Côte Blonde", Condrieu "Les Corbonnes" and elegant and powerful St. Joseph wines.
