A very charming and pleasant hotel, located in a beautiful house dating from 1887. The 38 rooms on offer are all tastefully decorated. For a long time, the hotel served as a residence for local actors who performed in a nearby theatre. The owners wanted to keep the spirit of the dressing rooms and make each room unique. Moreover, an excellent breakfast is served (included in the price), and can be enjoyed in a small inner courtyard. A real pleasure!

200 m from the train station and ferries, this three-story brick house is a pleasant stopover before taking the ferry to the island of Gotland. The hostel has a total of 10 fresh rooms (2-6 persons) with toilet and shower. There is also a well-equipped kitchenette for cooking, a dining room and a TV room. A good place to stay economically in the heart of Oskarshamn and meet other tourists. Good deal: when you book in this hotel, you get a ticket for the city's museums!

A very romantic wooden hotel facing the sea. There are 76 rooms, a Spa, a swimming pool, a large restaurant serving excellent seafood specialities and a bar. The hotel also serves a brunch. The rooms are nice and bright, with lots of wood. You can ask for one with a view of the flat rocks that slope gently down to the water. The staff is very friendly. The hotel can also be rented for wedding ceremonies.

Opened in 2000, the Plaza is a modern luxury hotel with 143 high-end rooms, so you'll be spoilt for choice. While everything is impeccable, the whole place is a bit cold and lacks soul, which is a bit disappointing. For example, the hotel's restaurant, the Swea Hof, is topped with a very high glass window and metal beams, making it look like a train station concourse. Still, the hotel has a few things going for it, such as an English pub, the Bishops Arms, with a more casual atmosphere, but also an exercise room and a sauna.

Right next to the church in Skanör, Hotel Gässlingen is a pleasantly renovated former farmhouse. The style of the furnishings is a bit solemn, but the whole place is comfortable, even cozy. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom and a television. You can enjoy a particularly hearty Swedish breakfast by the pool, in an inner courtyard where roses, lavender and even a fig tree grow. A large hotel with 160 rooms, centrally located just a short walk from Västra Torget. The building has no charm, but the rooms are well kept and the welcome is very friendly. The hotel also has some nice rooms adapted for the disabled. A large and pretty fresco in the entrance hall. You can eat in the adjoining Time restaurant, where breakfast is served until 10am on weekdays (included in the rate). The host also has a relaxation area with swimming pool and sauna.

Both a hotel and a youth hostel. A modern, fairly large establishment in the district (or rather island) of Ängö, 1.5 km from the centre. You can choose between different types of accommodation at different prices, but all well kept. There are a total of 166 beds in 63 rooms. A good breakfast is served in the dining room or, weather permitting, on the outdoor terrace - an opportunity to soak up the morning sun. Guests also have access to the on-site sauna for a small fee.

The hotel, located in the Rosendala Manor building, is romantically decorated with wallpaper and old-fashioned furniture. The hostel is a little more modern. It has both youth hostel rooms and classic rooms, which are almost identical except for the prices. This vandrarhem is very clean and well maintained and there is a kitchen on every floor. Hotel Conrad is a family-run 4-star hotel with a central location in Karlskrona. The hotel has been managed since May 2014 by Carin and Jörgen Wahlqvist, who care deeply about the comfort of their guests. There are 58 rooms and 55 furnished apartments, two relaxation areas, one of which has a small pool, sauna and mini gym. The rooms are well equipped (telephone, TV, shower, refrigerator and kitchenette) and the furniture is bright and modern. In low season, a light buffet is offered in the evening from Monday to Thursday.

The rooms are all equipped with TV, wi-fi and storage space, but the bathroom is on the landing. Rest assured, there are several, so you'll never have to wait outside the door for the shower to become available. The breakfast is a buffet largely composed of local products, so you can start the day with quality products. A good address.

A clean and pleasant youth hostel. There is a shared TV room and a shared kitchen. On the ground floor there is a picturesque little railway museum, where you can learn a couple of interesting things about the place and the city of Ystad. You can do some shopping in the small supermarket on the square, 50 m from the station. Breakfast is included in the price and is served every morning as a buffet.

Hotell Rusthållargården is located in the village of Arild north of Helsingborg and dates back to 1675. With its beautiful view of Skälderviken Bay, its old-fashioned decoration with regional furniture, flowery curtains and wallpaper, and wooden floors, the hotel does not lack charm. On sunny days there is a large roof terrace where you can sunbathe and have a pleasant time. A very good restaurant is also located in the hotel, for a complete experience! A good time to spend.

This pretty white building was a sailor's boarding house in the 19th century and only became a youth hostel in 1996. The reception is very friendly, as is the backyard with its wooden tables and benches at the foot of the Masthugg hill. The rooms are clean and the sanitary facilities are in the hallway. On the first floor, there is a common kitchen and lounge with TV and sofas. There is an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, and plenty of information about sightseeing in Gothenburg and the surrounding area.

Roddaren Hostel was built in the 1950s and is located in the centre of Strömstad, 400 metres from the town hall. Nineteen comfortable rooms with private toilet and television are available. There are rooms for couples, families and also for three, four or five people to share with friends. The establishment also has an independent kitchen and a shared lounge, where you can meet people at the end of the day. The showers are in the basement and are always clean. A very practical little address.

It is a family business that started in 1968 and now has three generations under its belt! Wi-fi connection and TV in all rooms. Friendly welcome and free parking at the back of the building, which is very convenient. Finally, the hotel is known for its well maintained rooms, personal service and good sleep.

The story of "Strandflickorna" began in 1993, when the owners opened their first summer youth hostel, "Toppensnäckan". A few years later, they bought an old building by the sea and realised their dream by renovating it from top to bottom and setting up this hotel/youth hostel. In the youth hostel, the style is turn of the century and the staff is friendly. 20 rooms with TV, toilet and shower in all rooms. The hotel is quite luxurious, and you can stay here in unparalleled comfort.

This superb hotel was once a railway station dating from 1906. Renovated in a contemporary style, you can enjoy your breakfast at the table in front of the large windows. The rooms are spacious and the bedding is comfortable. We appreciate their relaxation area, the helpfulness of the staff but also the services offered. For example, it is possible to rent bicycles directly from the hotel, which is very practical! The only drawback: close to the Stadsparken park, but a bit far from the center, you can't have everything!
