Honey and jam producers Alpes-De-Haute-Provence

In this family farm, the welcome is warm. 400 hives and nearly 20 varieties of honey (lavender, thyme, savory, rosemary, pine, chestnut ...) are waiting for you for a tasting. The shop installed on the farm offers all kinds of products derived from the activity of bees. Free visits are organized during July and August, with a description of the life of the bees thanks to a glass hive allowing the observation inside, as well as the discovery of the honey extraction room.

Les Comtes de Provence is a family history of more than 30 years of experience which has allowed us to elaborate jams and sweet products based on fruits of the Mediterranean basin and pure cane sugar, in a traditional way in cauldrons to optimize the taste. Jams, compotes, honeys, marmalades (as in Scotland) and a beautiful organic range (jams, compotes, honeys, fruits in syrup and candied fruits) are offered for sale in the shop as well as on the Internet. The factory can be visited once a week on Tuesdays by prior reservation.

Christiane has become a beekeeper and harvester, by passion, on the heights of Colmar-les-Alpes. It is better to call her to be sure to find her. On the spot you will have the choice between a sweet mountain honey with floral and fruity flavours, and a lavender honey, one of the jewels in the crown of the range produced on this territory, known for its power and its bouquet. Both are harvested in the hives of the valley, and are a testimony to the richness of a preserved environment.

Christian Hogedez, beekeeper, welcomes groups of children to his farm and explains to them everything about obtaining honey. For other visitors, he offers lavender, spring and garrigue honey as well as gingerbread, nougats and other products of the hive, made and sold on the spot all year long. If you are lucky enough to be present when the honey is extracted, he will be happy to show you his know-how and to share some secrets with you.

Beekeepers for generations, Christophe and Pierre take care of the hives and bees, Delphine takes care of the commercial development of the brand Miel et Une Tentations. The traditional raw honeys are all harvested in France and potted in Les Mées, as well as organic honeys, all from the Italian Piedmont. Neither mixed nor pasteurized, they are as harvested in the hive, to preserve their gustatory qualities. Rosemary, acacia, chestnut and lavender honeys are harvested at the corresponding flowering times.

Les Gaillardises de l'Ubaye is a delicatessen located on the Place de l'église in Uvernet-Fours BAYASSE. They offer a range of gourmet products based around jam, such as energy bars, syrups and tasting boxes. The jams are made by Béatrice Bellon, Master Jam Maker in Ubaye, and are renowned for their incomparable taste. Among the flavors on offer are Strawberry Coconut Lime Jam and Morello Cherry Elderflower, which won a silver medal in the vegetable jam competition. For lovers of jams and delicacies, this place is a real paradise.
