Created in 1993 by Daniel Duflot, Montagne et Rivière is a small base where a team of state-qualified river guides offers a wide range of activities: rafting in the Upper and Middle Verdon, canyoning, hydrospeed, white water swimming, canoeing, aqua-trekking in the Verdon canyon, adventure courses, mountain biking... Hydrospeed and canyoning are reserved for thrill seekers. Take advantage of the picnic area and the barbecue available before or after your activities. Cairo in the Alpes-de Haute-Provence also has its impressive vertiginous and aerial monument which is worth the detour, but it is not a large pyramid... No, here it is especially its via ferrata which is worth the detour, not to be missed under any circumstances for thrill-seekers.

Sporty friends, don't hesitate to go on the Via Ferrata de la Grande Fistoire. Spread out on a 250 m high limestone wall, it includes a 60 m long footbridge. The access is autonomous for the most experienced. For beginners, accompanied by a guide, they can also discover this hike of vertigo. It is necessary to have a strong heart, but the adventure is worth it. Beware! It is dangerous to embark on the via ferrata without suitable alpine equipment and without perfect knowledge of its use. All the necessary equipment can be rented on the spot, by reservation and at very reasonable prices as for the access, taking into account the essential maintenance costs of the site.

Victim of its success, in busy periods, waiting times for equipment are possible. Respect the direction of the itinerary and do not leave it. Adventure Forest is an accrobranche park located in Castellane, in the Verdon region of France. The park offers a range of courses to suit all levels, from the junior course for children from 1.20 m upwards, to the adventure course for adults over 1.40 m tall. There's also a pitchoun course for toddlers between 1m and 1.20m tall.

Pleasant and friendly, Pra-Loup is one of the most famous resorts of the Alpes de Haute Provence. Its 180 km of tracks allow to connect the domain of Foux-d'Allophones by the Agneliers. The station has 4 lifts, 80 of which are cable, 40 of which have a purple brand Milka… and the famous Rider Space, which offers   ha of facilities for extreme sports. Explore the forest site as you stroll from tree to tree through a variety of aerial workshops, including climbing nets, tree houses, zip lines and flying swings. Rated Famille Plus, the courses are designed for children aged 4 to 12, with the climbing rock accessible from age 6.

At the beginning of Estoublon, this beautiful hike will take you to the castle of Trévans by Promenade Saint-Jean, passing through millennia olive groves, the butterfly garden and beautiful lavender fields. As a bonus, you can enjoy local products at the end of the hike.

The discovery of sumptuous landscapes by snow scooter, a real nature adventure. The rental of snow scooters is offered for guided tours, for 1 or 2 people per machine. The ride is done in a part of the ski area (plains sector) for 30 minutes or 1 hour, with a view on the heights at sunset. For safety reasons, the first departure is at 5:30 pm, after the slopes have closed. Information and reservations are required depending on the weather conditions at the bottom of the Aiguille slope.

A small municipal open-air pool, it opens its two pools in the summer for residents and vacationers. A first main pool that can accommodate a large audience, from children to experienced swimmers, and a paddling pool dedicated to the splashing of toddlers. A solarium borders the pools for lounging between two swims. All summer long, swimming lessons, introductory and advanced lessons, aquagym sessions. A great way to spend a summer under the sign of sport.

The Ochres by bike ? The country of Forcalquier and the mountain of Lure? Or the whole loop at your own pace? This is what this beautiful region has to offer! Choose your itinerary (IGN map: Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, 1/60 000e; or Michelin map: 81 and 84, 1/200 000e). For those who have already decided, this is a fabulous family walk, where you can take the time to discover nature while getting some exercise. Since summer 2002, 130 km (Forcalquier, Manosque, Lourmarin, Cavaillon section) have been added to the existing 105 km (Cavaillon to Forcalquier, via Apt), for a total loop of 236 km. If you don't want to pedal all that, there are already many sections to enjoy. For example, a 22 km greenway that passes through Apt, or "le pays d'Aigues à vélo", a beautiful 91 km circuit, soon to be marked out.

But if you opt for the 236 km loop, you can start from wherever you want, and will not necessarily need a map. Indeed, to facilitate your orientation, the loop is marked out in both directions. But don't forget to bring sun cream, sunglasses, a cap and a bottle of water! The stages are punctuated by perched villages, Provençal landscapes, bories, lavender with stops for tasting local products, this 5 to 7 day route guarantees pleasure and discovery!

There are many walks in the vicinity of Sisteron. The "botanical trail of Molard" is one of them, which we highly recommend for its accessibility, its natural beauty and its fun aspect. It lasts about two and a half to three hours and is easy to walk with its red and white GR6 markings, as well as ONF markings. Along the way, you will discover 7 stations presenting the forest environment and its species.

You will thus walk through the Molard massif, whose forest covers 25 ha spread out from 500 m to 748 m of altitude. Located at the gates of Sisteron, which it dominates with its presence, it is its garden, its green lung. It represents a remarkable example of regeneration of the vegetation and protection of the environment. Take the botanical path called "montée du Molard" on the edge of the Sisteron municipal forest. Follow it to the end. Turn right onto the Cedar Tourist Trail. After four hairpin bends and a power line, go left towards the Molard ridge. Continue on the slope of this ridge until you reach the orientation table which allows you to observe the whole of the Sisters' country. You will find a small refuge nearby. Do not go down towards Sisteron via Combes, but continue on the ridge. At the crossroads, at the level of the high voltage pylon, continue straight on towards the highest point of Molard. Go back down to Sisteron either by the path you took or by Les Combes.

Formed nearly 40 million years ago, the sandstones of Annot arouse for various reasons a growing interest on the part of sportsmen admiring this unique geological manifestation in the region. The grandiose aspect of these cliffs dominating the village leaves no one unmoved... The sandstone benches can reach 250 metres in thickness! For walkers, take the marked path and discover these unusual rocks and the flora that surrounds them. As for the climbers, they will find nearly 150 equipped routes.

The Fédération Départementale des Chasseurs des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, based in Digne-les-Bains, is responsible for managing hunting in the département. The Federation also offers online and face-to-face training courses, as well as information on hunting safety and barrier practices. In addition to its hunting-related activities, the Federation is also committed to the defense of biodiversity and rurality.

What's more, the varied landscapes of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, such as the Gorges du Verdon, the Ubaye valley and the Valensole plateaux, offer magnificent backdrops for horseback riding. Thrill-seekers can also enjoy a descent of the Crête de Lure.
