It is the most festive event of the year during which the town is transformed to celebrate lavender, this small blue flower, the city's emblem. For the occasion, between 10,000 and 15,000 people attend the event each year. On the menu: parades by day and by night with decorated and illuminated flower floats, musical demonstrations, costumes and cultural demonstrations by international groups, fireworks displays, fairground, bowls competitions, garage sale, festival dance... Since 1900, lavender has made Digne les Bains and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence the leading producer of lavender and lavandin in the region. During the celebration, also attend demonstrations of distillation of this fragrant plant and leave with a few sprigs of lavender whose sweet scent will long perfume your drawers and cupboards.

Welcome to medieval festivities in Colmars! Set in a magnificent setting of ancient stones steeped in history, the weekend features a wide range of events: music concerts, horse and bird of prey shows, medieval meals, lectures, old trades, battles, old-fashioned flag-throwing... Large craftsmen's market in the town squares. And if you'd like to join in the fun, rent a costume. Days rich in learning and contemplation, both visual and auditory!

For 4 years now, motorcycle travel enthusiasts have had their festival in Barcelonnette, in the heart of Ubaye. And how could it be otherwise? This jewel of the Southern Alps is a fantastic playground for motorcyclists. The show takes place all over the pine forest and brings together numerous exhibitors from the world of motorcycling, concerts in the evening, possible test rides, a route available within a radius of 200 to 300 km and a motorcycle adventure film festival!
