Read moreThe Lencloître cookie factory was founded in 1960 by Guy Gâteau. Since then, the traditional recipes for broyés and other sweets have remained unchanged. In 1981, François and Bénédicte Clerc took over this fine family business, and joined forces with their son Pierre-Jean and his wife Marie in 2007. They raise 180 ewes, 25 cows and poultry. Today, they produce milk, yoghurts, crème fraîche, cheeses, eggs and meat: poultry (chicken, guinea fowl, duck), veal and lamb.

Read moreOn 180 hectares, Nathalie and David raise over 500 Alpine goats. Nathalie is in charge of cheese processing and welcomes you to the store. David is out in the fields with the goats. With the milk, they make fine artisanal cheeses (often awarded medals): mothais-sur-feuille, carré de Couhé, chabichou du Poitou, pyramide, bûche... The two farmers don't stop there: with their meat, they make pâtés, terrines, rillettes and other canned dishes (chili, tajine...). A real treat!

Although her six hectares of vines are located in Beaumont and Marigny-Brizay, her winery is in Ouzilly, in her barn. Her small vineyard allows her to pamper her grapes, bringing out the aromas that best reflect the terroir. Thanks to the many grape varieties grown on her plots, she produces both AOC Haut-Poitou and IGP Val de Loire wines, such as her elegant Sauvignon gris.

Independent winegrowers, they work as small craftsmen to offer a wine in their image, working in a reasoned manner. They sell their products, as well as those from the Balandière farm (vegetables, organic bread) every Tuesday evening on site. Listed as a historic monument and winner of the Heritage Lottery, the fortress stands amidst the vines. Owned by Sandra and Gilles Colinet, it is currently being restored in an eco-responsible manner. The 13-hectare vineyard is farmed organically. Its exceptional tuffeau terroir enables it to produce wines of ageing potential and character, which are expressed under the Saumur and Saumur Puy-notre-dame appellations.

Read moreA baker and farmer, Rodolphe created the Herbes Folles farm in 2010. He is joined by his wife Hélène and his brother Mathieu. On this certified organic farm, ancient cereals grow on some forty hectares. The harvest is transformed into flour, crushed under the stone millstone of the farm's mill. Sourdough bread (semi-complete, petit-épeautre, rye-sarrasin...) is baked over a wood fire. Cookies, brioches and other delicacies are also available. Other activities are planned at the farm.

After his studies, in 2003, he took over the family estate from his father. Sabrina, his wife, joined him in 2007. The estate is located in the Saumur PDO. Labeled High Environmental Value, the vines cover 30 hectares with a majority of Cabernet Franc and Chenin. The domain benefits from troglodytic cellars covering nearly 5,000 m², an ideal place for storage and preservation.
