Le Phare de Ré is the island's only newspaper! Created in 1949, under the impetus of René Rayneau, this weekly is distributed between 15,000 and 30,000 copies, depending on the season. Every Wednesday, Le Phare de Ré offers its readers news about the island, the communes, the week's agenda, sports results, and much more... Sud-Ouest has been present in eight départements since 1944, with a readership of 1.3 million, and publishes four editions in the Charente-Maritime region (La Rochelle/Ile de Ré, Saintes/Saint-Jean-d'Angély, Rochefort and Royan/Jonzac). RCF (Radio chrétienne francophone) is a network of over 60 radio stations in France and Belgium. The Charente-Maritime radio station joined the Christian radio network in 1996. With over 20 years' experience, the station offers both comprehensive information and a wide range of programs, from spirituality to debates... Christian Radio broadcasts 4 hours of local programming a day. News at 6:30am, 7am, then every hour until 5pm - Monday to Friday.

It's one of 44 stations on a radio known for its broad, popular appeal. At the heart of listeners' lives, this local station, which began broadcasting 30 years ago, offers local news and information, with programs devoted to local life: horoscopes, newspapers, good tips, as well as "C'est la vie des 2 Charentes", which highlights some of the must-see places in the 2 départements, and "La vie en bleu", a program devoted to cooking, with Piqthiu's fork tip.
