FROMAGERIE DU PRESBYTÈRE

Regional grocery cheese and cream shops

With some sixty awards and mentions accumulated over the years, it enjoys a fine reputation in the province. A dozen cheeses are lovingly crafted here, including Bleu d'Elizabeth, one of the best of its kind in Quebec, and Louis d'Or, a firm cheese made from raw cow's milk. Just a stone's throw from the cheese dairy is the general store, which sells not only the company's own cheeses, but also baked goods, local produce and ready-to-eat foods. Not to be missed in summer: the "Vendredis de la fromagerie" with live entertainment and great food.

DISTILLERIE DU QUAI

Liquor store €€

Installed since May 2023 on the same premises as its sister microbrewery Ô Quai des Brasseurs, Distillerie du Quai is now a stone's throw from the river. Stepping into the store, you wonder whether you're in a music store or a distillery, given the posters of musicians, the guitar and the audio equipment that make up the decor. A place for music enthusiasts, it is above all dedicated to the creation of spirits, bitters, fruit drinks, etc., available both in the boutique and in SAQ outlets.

FROMAGERIE LEMAIRE

Regional grocery cheese and cream shops

Founded in 1956, the Fromagerie Lemaire is a must-see. We come here especially for its fresh cheese curds of the day, which is the house's reputation, but also for its tortillons, its strong cheddar, its Swiss cheese and its fine herbs cheese. The store also offers other Quebec cheeses, fresh bread, pizzas, etc. As for the restaurant, try the poutines, especially the deluxe versions, and finish it all off at the dairy bar. Another restaurant-counter in Saint-Cyrille-de-Wendover and at the Drummondville public market.

ROSE DRUMMOND

Market

Located near Highway 20 at the western entrance to Drummondville, Rose Drummond offers several services under one roof. First of all, the greenhouses where flowers such as roses, gerberas, alstroemerias and tutti quanti grow, but also vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. It is also the only producer of cut flowers in Quebec. Then there is a delicatessen with products from dozens of Quebec producers and artisans, and a café where you can have a bite to eat in the heart of the greenhouses (a unique experience!).
