The Maison Chevallereau is an institution on the island in terms of butchery, sausage-making and catering. Founded in 1962, this family-run business is a sure bet, and quality has been the watchword for over 60 years. In addition to quality meats (free-range veal, lamb, Vendée pork, Vendée free-range beef for which a trophy was awarded in 2017), it offers charcuterie, typical Vendée cooked dishes (terrines, pâtés, gratins, roast pork, cooked ham, pudding with prunes...), catering dishes including paella (chicken/fish) and rotisserie.
