From his journey in the middle of the show, Cyril offers a unique concept on the vendéenne coast with his restaurant-cabaret L'Intermission, created in 2012. The Hippodrome de l'Atlantique is located in the town of Saint-Jean-de-Monts, in the Vendée region. It faces the Atlantic Ocean, in the dunes of the Pays-de-Monts forest. Overlooking the Marais Girard beach, La Paillote d'Eliott is both a bar offering food and a grocery store selling local produce. We like the original design of the terrace, made from wooden pallets and decorated with lanterns. Kouign amann in the land of brioche: it was a daring gamble, but it paid off. It has to be said that the Breton specialities served in this café-tea room are truly delicious. This coffee shop is a family business run by Bretons Frédéric and his father Franck, and the pastries are all homemade. The decor is cosy, and you choose your pastry from a large central table, right in front of the open lab. Other specialties include far aux pruneaux (soft and fragrant), gâteau breton, available in 9 recipes, and Jean.No, an apple cake to die for.
