The Moulineau house has made itself a name! And it's written on: the boudin is its specialty, and it's certainly one of the best if not the best. It should be said that the Moulineau are butchers for more than years. Unfortunately, there are no longer many of them in Vendée who are true craftsmen of the taste and authenticity that manufacture their own products. And we deplore it! Moreover, Bernard and his son Pascal are fiercely defenders of the artisan tradition for whom the word quality still has meaning, which delights our taste buds. The boutique, located next to La Pataterie restaurant, proposes: black boudin, pluck, ham, guts… made according to the tradition of yesteryear. You will find them on the markets of L'Stimulus-sur-Mer, La Tranche-sur-Mer and that of La Roche.

Petitgas offers a wide range of pork products, including the famous hams, whose reputation is well established. They are eaten raw, but can also be pan-fried or grilled for thicker slices. The flagship product, the Jambon de Vendée, characterised by its original aroma, tender texture and delicate flavour, is made from a recipe handed down from generation to generation in accordance with traditional know-how.

This small shop close to the shops hides treasures for charcuterie fans, and we are. It was the smell of salting that we took the step and put this small voice in the closet, which told us: " No, we must not: your plan! '. So bad, it's too appetising at the time of the aperitif! As its name proudly indicates, a charcuterie specialises in sausages! On the stalls a beautiful diversity of cochonnailles from all origins and all scents.

At 42 avenue de la Plage, there is a sweet smell of rotisserie, which invites us to do as the faithful customers of La Rôtisserie de la Plage, installed for many years in the Demoiselles district. On the spit, farm chickens regularly basted with a good home-made juice, that you can take away whole or in pieces. Accompany this delicious chicken with fried potatoes: an easy dish for those who are on vacation or do not want to cook. Other suggestions on weekends: suckling pig!

The Maison Chevallereau is an institution on the island in terms of butchery, sausage-making and catering. Founded in 1962, this family-run business is a sure bet, and quality has been the watchword for over 60 years. In addition to quality meats (free-range veal, lamb, Vendée pork, Vendée free-range beef for which a trophy was awarded in 2017), it offers charcuterie, typical Vendée cooked dishes (terrines, pâtés, gratins, roast pork, cooked ham, pudding with prunes...), catering dishes including paella (chicken/fish) and rotisserie.

For lovers of tasty meats, Coeur de Grange offers direct sales at the farm of products from their farm: Charolais beef, calves raised under the mother, pigs raised on straw, free-range poultry, lambs. We offer loin, sausages, merguez (beef and pork), chorizo for grilling, beef brochettes, rump steak, flank steak, roast beef, entrecote... In the store, in the barn, you will also find farm products for sale: fruits and vegetables, yoghurts, cheeses, smoked salmon, ice creams, honey, herbal teas, pasta, preserves, beers, wines...

Céline and François Joly are passionate farmers who raise (in the open air), with respect for the environment, organic farm poultry (chickens, guinea fowl, ducks), produce a breed of cow, and organic long pig. You can find their products in the shop and at markets: terrines and rillettes made from duck, chicken, guinea fowl, sausage and pork ham, beef, dried duck fillets, ready meals, jams.

Biocoop Maraichine is an organic food store. It offers a wide range of organic products, including solid cosmetics, skincare products, bulk produce, seasonal fruit and vegetables, cheese by the slice from local producers, local wines and a selection of organic wines, as well as local Maraîchine meat. Customers can make their purchases in-store or pick them up on site.
