The Plage des Dunes is one of the most beautiful beaches in Brétignolles, as it stretches for several kilometres. Just like Longeville-sur-Mer, the coast of Bretignolles is one of the top surfing spots in the Vendée. The municipal sailing school is located on the beach of La Normandelière. This 127-hectare reservoir extends over 5 communes: Sigournais, Monsireigne, Bazoges-en-Pareds and Tallud-Sainte-Gemme, offering hikers numerous trailheads, particularly on the La Morlière site. It is the largest water reservoir in the Grand Lay Valley. Set in a landscape of grassy or rocky hillsides, it is home to a colony of migrating ducks in the fall.
