This large building, directly inspired by the architecture of a salorge (the place where salt is stored), houses the permanent exhibition "De la Saline à la Salorge" (From the Salt Works to the Salorge), presenting the work of salt workers and the workings of the salt marshes. Note that this exhibition, enhanced by this new space, benefits from a brand-new tool: the maréoscope, which explains the influence of the tides on the marshes. Terre de Sel, a salt marsh specialist, offers you an exclusive outing to understand the formation of Guérande salt, from its traditional production to its storage workshop. All discovery outings are complemented by a free visit to the exhibition space (entrance fee included), which presents the salt worker's trade and the ecological riches of the salt marshes through the seasons. If your children are aged between 6 and 12, they can solve a riddle using the clues in the exhibition. If they find the word "mystery", they'll leave with a handsome diploma as a salt magician or ornithologist detective. Upstairs, on the mezzanine with its panoramic view, art exhibitions are held in 2-month cycles on a theme related to the salt marshes. All tours take place on foot around the salt marshes, guided by salt marsh specialists: salt workers and naturalist guides. There are different routes depending on the age of your children. Not to be missed, this is one of the region's must-sees.

Each year is held in Vallet, the winner of the great wine competition. The rigour of its organisation, the number of samples in competition makes this competition the real reference of professionals.

Is that an illusion? Near the port of Cordemais, a small pavilion perched on a chimney embryo from the nearby central station asks the passing. During the weekly visits, you can see from the terrace, part of the Estuarien area of the Loire, which it dominates by about fifteen meters. In the framework of the Biennale of Contemporary Art 2007-2009-2012, the artist Tatzu Nishi carries out an amazing work here, creating a real visual shock for the visitor. The villa is in fact a cottage that can be rented in the beautiful season (one hundred euros at night).
