An architectural treasure, its first version is attributed to André Jules Michelin in 1901. At the time, its creation required the destruction of the entire neighborhood. The result was a building that could accommodate up to 25 butchers and charcuterie stores, 10 fishmongers and 115 market gardeners, fruit growers and cheesemongers in 4^m2 dressing rooms. The space has been refurbished without losing its former soul, and now takes on the silhouette of a Baltard-style pavilion where people still come to shop for fresh produce and gourmet foods.

In the heart of Albi, a few meters from the cathedral, the market will delight your eyes and your taste buds. Local producers and shopkeepers are gathered in one place to welcome you and offer you the best products of the region. You will find many shops: bakeries and pastry shops, canneries, delicatessens and butchers, delicatessens, wine producers, cheese makers, creameries, fishmongers, caterers and oyster producers, roasters and greengrocers... What a treat!

Every Friday morning, on the Place du Griffoul and Place de la Libération, Gaillac locals and tourists meet up. Every Tuesday evening, from 4pm to 7:30pm, the Noctambio market with its organic produce arrives at Place du Griffoul. You'll find seasonal local produce bearing the Organic Farming and/or Nature & Progrès labels. Finally, Sunday mornings are the perfect time to discover the small, traditional market. In addition to the three weekly markets, there are also occasional markets, especially in summer, and night markets organized by local traders.

In winter, Mazamet hosts a marché au gras in its covered market hall. Here you'll find products from your favorite palmipeds (ducks and geese): foie gras, magret, confit... The local farmers' market takes place in July and August. You'll find local producers, gourmet plates of farm produce, demonstrations by craftspeople and great tastings, all set to music and with games for children!

Marché couvert de l'Albinque: open Tuesday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m

Food market: held in Place Jean-Jaurès on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., and in Place de Lameilhé on Wednesday mornings.

Marché biologique: this organic market takes place on Place Pierre-Fabre on Thursdays from 3pm to 7:30pm.

Marché au gras : this market is a showcase for regional know-how, with stalls featuring duck and foie gras. It takes place on Saturday mornings from 7am to 1pm on the Quai Tourcaudière (mid-November to mid-April).

At this traditional market, you'll find all the products emblematic of the Monts de Lacaune terroir: local charcuterie, fresh cheeses, farm produce...
