Octopus, seafood, fish, clams and moules-frites are beautifully presented on the plate (a feast for the eyes). Flavors explode in the mouth instantly (a pleasure for the taste buds). Nice cuts of meat too. A finely crafted wine list, good desserts. Cosy atmosphere, attentive, smiling service.
MADOK
Read moreLocated in the alleys of the historic part of Óbidos, within the city walls, this small restaurant is amusing because it is decorated with elements of fantasy culture. Although discreet, it's interesting to try and understand their significance. For example, the toilet seems to be hidden in a cupboard, a broom flies in front of us... Comprising two small rooms, one of which is adjacent to the bar, we come here for a drink or a meal. Salads, burgers, mixed dishes, the choice is simple but good and well-stocked. Top-notch team!
RESTAURANTE ROCHA
Read moreOn the street leading to the pier, the Rocha restaurant is in some ways in competition with the other restaurants. However, Rocha stands out for its sea-focused cuisine. The fish is fresh and the price is by weight. Smiling, cheerful service: if you take a dish with a lot of sauce, you'll be offered some sort of bib with a lobster - which will delight those who like a bit of humor! A fine wine list and desserts to finish on a sweet note. In high season, reservations are recommended.
