ROTI NOORD
Read moreRoti is a club restaurant housed in a former garage in the city's northern district. The furniture is sober, the welcome warm and smiling, right next to the Skate Café, which we also like a lot. The menu is concise and offers broodjes, but also and above all dishes of Indonesian origin. Roti is not the dish we call it, but a generous portion of breaded chicken with sweet and sour sauce, or the delicious peanut-based satay soup. Once the meal is over, the place transforms into a club.
LEMONGRASS
Read moreLemongrass is a top-of-the-range eetcafé that serves fish specialities. The price-quality ratio is good, the wine list is varied and the staff does everything possible to ensure that customers have a pleasant evening. As the restaurant motto says, life is too short to drink bad wine! Here we like quality, in the plate and in the bottle. Several thematic menus are available. But it is also possible to have dinner à la carte. The ideal address for a beautiful evening that will ideally extend with a walk on the beach.

DE KURK
Read moreA charming eetcafé where you can enjoy simple, nourishing dishes by the fire or at the bar. Service is provided by students who do their best to make the evening enjoyable. We love this versatile address for a drink or a bite to eat, as a couple or a group. The atmosphere is always warm and positive. Note: the menu changes 4 times a year to highlight seasonal, quality produce. A great address that's a must for any visit to Delft.
REDJEKI
Read moreFor the unavoidable Indonesian specialties that grace a stay in the Netherlands. The decor doesn't hint at the quality of the food! One of Delft's oldest addresses. An address that combines the historical traditions of Indonesian cuisine. The famous rice tables will win you over. Beware: everything can be spicy, and so can the bill, so be sure to have the dishes explained to you. Presentation can sometimes be spectacular. Next to the restaurant, you can buy the dishes directly and enjoy them at home.
MOEKE
Read moreThis is a very pleasant restaurant. Its internationally inspired cuisine is delicious. Design décor with glass panels and harmonious colors. You immediately feel at home. You can read a newspaper on the wooden benches, comfortably seated on the soft cushions. The menu also features comfort food, with tasty burgers, Dutch-style omelettes and full salads. In the evenings, the menu is more complete, but still with the gezelligheid we love so much.

OOGST
Read moreA very good address in town, with top-class cuisine in a pleasant, classy setting. Note that the restaurant operates on a service system, with the first service between 6pm and 8pm. So it's not an address where you can linger for hours, but it's perfect for enjoying excellent cuisine before a concert or play. Recently awarded a BIB gourmand, a guarantee of quality. We particularly like the carefully prepared dishes and seasonal menus, always based on ultra-fresh produce.
PARAPLU – MUZIEKCAFE
Read moreAn address like we love them! A very lively restaurant, appreciated by a young and dynamic population. You may attend a concert, because this restaurant is a bit like the Conservatory's students' canteen. Charming and coffee. This address has been established since 1974 in a picturesque street in the centre of The Hague. It is a real institution of the city that started as a jazz café and has become a renowned brasserie where 80 people can take place. The menu always includes several dishes without meat and also fish.
WOX
Read moreBeautiful restaurant overlooking the Binnenhof, the Dutch Parliament, which also houses the Prime Minister's office. Its modern decor contrasts with the classic atmosphere of this district. Fusion cuisine blends various culinary traditions, with many fish dishes. Prices are high, but the quality is top-notch. Reservations are highly recommended. The fish is top quality, and the design inspired by international cuisine. The menu also includes vegetarian dishes.
ONI JAPANESE DINING
Read moreFor over 20 years now, this address has built a solid reputation, combining a sleek design setting with inspired dishes. The cuisine is Japanese, with an emphasis on fresh fish and other ingredients. Rosé and white wines go very well with the menu. The value for money is good, as is the interior, with its unique lighting forming a play of colors, and the podium. The setting lends itself more to a late-night party than a romantic dinner.
DES INDES
Read moreA landmark in the city of The Hague, Des Indes was totally renovated some time ago to bring it up to date. The metamorphosis has preserved the grandeur of yesteryear, while revitalizing it in a highly successful manner. The food is as good as the setting. For an exceptional meal. Don't miss the superb afternoon high tea. We come here as much for the enchanting, distinguished setting as for the meticulous menu. It's an old-fashioned classic that's sure to be a highlight of any visit to the city. A must-see!
TRIANA
Read moreThis address claims to be the only (real?) tapas bar in town. It's a great atmosphere, with music to match the cuisine, and very good food. We come here in a woodsy atmosphere, very gezellig as the Dutch like to say, and to enjoy small dishes, tapas, cold or without meat. The idea here is to make new acquaintances over a drink, and the music helps to soften the mood too. A great address for a lively evening with an international audience. A tried-and-tested classic among Haguenois!
LA LIGURIA
Read moreNear the Royal Palace, the city's most famous Italian. Not to be confused with a common pizzeria. It offers a fine cuisine and all flavours, based on quality products (carpaccio, fresh pasta, risotto...), in a relaxed setting. A popular address for Haguenois where it is advisable to book. Superb terrace in summer. For the record, this address is the result of a dream of young adults who came by scooter from Italy and is now held by the next generation. A beautiful place to visit.
ROYAL SAN KONG
Read moreIt would be a real shame not to discover this quality restaurant in Amstelveen, nicknamed the "superchinese" by some regulars and located on a pretty street. Although prices are higher than in most of Amsterdam's Chinese restaurants, so are the services. The atmosphere is one of hushed luxury, with a superb wall depicting the Shanghai skyline. The service is efficient and friendly, and the waitresses, all dressed in beautiful, colorful outfits, add a touch of local color to your meal.

BACALAR
Read moreYet another address on Amsterdam's north bank that has us taking the ferry dare dare. It's a top-quality Mexican restaurant that has opened to full houses. Hipsters flock here to enjoy delicious tacos and excellent cocktails. The atmosphere? Some even say they've been transported to a Tarantino movie. As the evening progresses, it gets livelier and livelier with good sound. The dishes are succulent and will immediately transport you to Mexico City. A good address.
CAFÉ DE PAREL
Read moreThis pearl, parel in Dutch, is an excellent café-restaurant in the heart of Jordaan, not far from Anne Frank's house. Formerly a brown café, it is now a top-quality design café with a sleek, elegant style. This address already enjoys a solid reputation, and the waiting list for dinner is long. The terrace is very pleasant in fine weather. The menu changes regularly with the seasons. Service is efficient and friendly. Products are carefully selected, often organic. The wine list is superb.
GERTRUDE
Read moreIt's like being in the home of a French grandmother; the place is enchanting and cosy, and from the very first dish, it's a real invitation to travel. Flavors come from the four corners of the world, and a fusion of cuisines enlivens your taste buds. You'll be able to choose from a varied, eco-friendly menu, always based on fresh, seasonal produce. Then, for the more intrepid, let yourself be guided and taste the dishes chosen for you by chef Amadou Dia. A newcomer making his mark.
CORNERSTORE
Read moreCornerstone is located in the northern district, not far from the Ceuvel, which we also love. It's a surprising place, serving as a bar, a discotheque, but also and above all a restaurant with Asian flavors, mainly Japanese, but with welcome Dutch touches. It's housed in an industrial complex without much flavor, but zen and with a superb, imposing chandelier that's an Instagram favorite. We really like the menu, which mixes flavors. When the meal stops, the party starts. A special place.
FOODHALLEN DEN HAAG
Read moreAfter Amsterdam and Rotterdam, The Hague also has a covered food market. Here, there are currently a dozen addresses offering pasta, burgers, seafood and pastries. The setting is a former shopping mall in the hypercentre of the political capital, which has been revitalized since its opening. It's a very pleasant setting, with a rather raw feel subtly enhanced by plants and warm colors. A pleasant address in the heart of the city. To be discovered urgently for a drink or a dish.
TI BISOU CRÊPES BOUTIQUE

The seats near the elegant bar allow you to admire the work of the cooks. Softly upholstered benches and reproductions of Flemish paintings on the walls. A beautiful atmosphere and an ideal stop to enjoy the setting and the menu. On the menu are broodjes, mixed salads, but also pancakes and soups. A beautiful place to delight the taste buds and pupils and to fill up with energy! The evening menu is more elaborate.

DUTCH PANCAKE MASTERS
Read moreObviously, if you hear the words pancakes, Amsterdam, Damraak, you'll know that this isn't the most intimate address in the capital, but rather one that's popular with tourists. The crepes are good, however, and the location, a stone's throw from Central Station, is strategic. If the terrace is lively, it's the large interior dining room that's worth the detour. It pays tribute to the Golden Age with reproductions of all the Dutch masterpieces. Yes, you'd be better off going to the Rijksmuseum to see them in person, but it's still worth a visit.

CAFÉ BRUXELLES
Read moreA friendly eetcafé with a student atmosphere. As the name suggests, it's Belgium we're celebrating here, with a superb beer list and a generous menu at fairly reasonable prices. The daily special is highly recommended. Bruxelles is located in a pretty alleyway and has been a fixture in the city since 1989. The dishes are hearty and filling, often based on boiled vegetables and meat. Vegetarians are not forgotten, for example, with vegan meat and vegetable pie. An address that doesn't succumb to modernity.
IGNITE HAARLEM
Read moreAn excellent address in the city's hypercentre. The menu features European gastronomy, with a preference for Italian dishes. The well-kept, wood-panelled decor has recently been updated with a more refined touch. Ignite regularly plays host to large groups, so be warned about the decibel level. The view of the pizza oven is pleasant. Of note: a wide choice of fish and vegetarian dishes for a successful evening without any headaches. This is a quality address with a reputation, ideally located in the center of this beautiful city.

Read moreThis restaurant is a newcomer to the city's culinary scene within the Koepel complex, a magnificent former prison. Housed in the former administrative buildings, it leads to the sublime dome. This is where prisoners began their stay, and this is where you can eat inspired, refined bistro-style cuisine featuring seasonal produce and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. It's a really interesting experience and, weather permitting, the pleasant terrace overlooking the former prison won't be a punishment.
DE PIZZABAKKERS
Read moreIt was on a lovely June evening that we discovered this chain (also known in Amsterdam). The place, on a charming square, is very pleasant. You can eat on the terrace overlooking the historic statue of Tsar Peter the Great. The menu offers succulent pizzas with a thin, crispy crust, just as you'd expect. Beforehand, you'll want to try the antipasti, which are excellent. For dessert, we opted for a Sgroppino, a cocktail made with lemon ice, limoncello, prosecco and vodka. A real delight.
