Read moreGetting around in and from the Val Parisis conurbation at night is possible with the Noctilien lines. The network comprises dozens of lines that criss-cross the Paris region between 0.30 and 5.30 a.m., including several here. Line N154 connects Gare Saint-Lazare with the Montigny-Beauchamp RER station, via Ermont, Sannois, Franconville and Beauchamp. Line N150 - again to Saint-Lazare - serves Montigny-Beauchamp and Pierrelaye stations. Further south, line N155 links St-Lazare and Poissy via Cormeilles, La Frette and Herblay.
GARE DE TAVERNY
Read moreIt's probably the most beautiful station in the Val Parisis conurbation: Taverny's half-timbered facade is topped by a small turret with a clock, giving the whole a Norman feel, reminding us that this region is only a few dozen kilometers away! On a daily basis, Taverny station is served by Transilien line H trains, taking you to the French capital in around half an hour. The station is served by buses to the surrounding districts, and parking spaces are available.
GARE D'ERMONT EAUBONNE
Read moreCompletely renovated in the 2010s, the station is modern and boasts a number of shops: Ermont-Eaubonne station, on the border of the two communes, is one of the main transport hubs of the Val Parisis conurbation. In addition to a large bus station, the railway station is served by three lines: the RER C to Paris from the west, the H line to Gare Saint-Lazare and the H line to Gare du Nord. The modern infrastructure also includes a number of shops.
GARE DE SAINT-LEU LA FORÊT
Read moreServed by line H, located between Gros Noyer and Saint-Prix Vaucelles stations, it's well worth a visit even if you don't take the train. It's a real architectural marvel, and has been awarded the region's seal of approval. The station, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, features a "neo-regional" style, inspired by the codes of a not-so-distant Normandy. False half-timbering, door frames and decor have been restored, restoring the station to its former glory.
GARE DE MONTIGNY-BEAUCHAMP
Read moreStraddling the communes of Montigny, Beauchamp and Pierrelaye, the station is served by trains on the H line, as well as by the RER C, providing easy access to the west and north of the Val-d'Oise, as well as to Paris from the north and west. Accessible to people with reduced mobility following extensive renovation work, it is very busy and is one of the communication hubs of the Val Parisis conurbation, being also served by local buses.
GARE DE FREPILLON
Read moreLocated between the Bessancourt and Méry-sur-Oise stations, the Frépillon station serves the town of the same name. Served by the H line, which links a large part of the Val Parisis conurbation to the Gare du Nord in Paris, the Frépillon stop is just a few dozen meters from the heart of the town. During rush hour, a train (from Persan-Beaumont) runs to the capital every 15 minutes, and a little less during off-peak hours. There are also several bus routes.
GARE D'ERMONT HALTE
Read moreThis is one of Ermont's three train stations: while not the largest, it nevertheless enhances the town's excellent rail connections. Located in the eponymous rue, the station is served by trains on the H line, linking Valmondois to Gare du Nord - the latter can be reached in around half an hour. Situated between the Gros-Noyer Saint-Prix and Ermont-Eaubonne stations, it is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and has a parking lot and drop-off area that are very popular at peak times.
BAC TRAVERSIER DE LA FRETTE-SUR-SEINE
Read moreAs practical as it is rural, the ferry at La Frette-sur-Seine is open on fine days, weekends and public holidays. Completely free of charge, it takes you to the other side of the river in just a few minutes. The boat is not suitable for transporting vehicles, but you can bring your pets and bicycles. Without it, you'd have to go to Maisons-Laffitte or Conflans to cross the Seine with dry feet!

The network comprises 7 lines, which cover the whole of the département and pass through many towns in the Val Parisis conurbation. For example, line 95.10 (Cergy-Préfecture / Gare d'Argenteuil) passes through Herblay, Pierrelaye and Franconville, while line 95.29 runs entirely within the agglomeration, between Montigny-Beauchamp and Ermont-Eaubonne.
GARE DE CERNAY

Between Ermont-Eaubonne and Franconville - Le Plessis-Bouchard stations, it takes an average of 25 minutes to reach Gare du Nord, and around 30 minutes to reach Porte de Clichy. Overlooking the departmental road, it has a parking lot with around 40 spaces. Served by several dozen trains a day, it is less busy than its two neighbors.

Read moreOperated by the Lacroix bus network on behalf of Ile-de-France Mobilités, the regulatory authority for transport in the Ile-de-France region, the CitéVal network comprises a number of regular routes throughout the Val Parisis conurbation. These high-speed shuttles connect different neighborhoods in a very tightly-packed network, making them accessible to as many people as possible. Transport is provided by shuttles with around ten seats, and timetables are timed to make them easier to read.
GARE DE PIERRELAYE
Read morePierrelaye station is served by several dozen trains a day, and is crossed by lines C and H. The former provides access to Paris from the west, via Porte de Clichy, the Eiffel Tower and Gare d'Austerlitz. The second runs to Gare du Nord, crossing much of the Val Parisis conurbation. Intermodal, the site is also linked to the city's neighborhoods by an efficient bus network. Finally, a parking lot is located close to the reception building.
GARE DU GROS NOYER - SAINT PRIX
Read moreIt's one of three stations in the Ermont area: the Gros Noyer - Saint Prix est station serves the Gros Noyer district and the nearby commune of Saint -Prix. Served by line H, it lies between Saint-Leu la Forêt and Ermont-Halte stations. It boasts a modern passenger building, and is linked to the rest of the region by frequent bus services. From here, it's a 40-minute journey to Gare du Nord.
GARE DE VAUCELLES
Read moreBetween Taverny and Saint-Leu-la-Forêt stations, the small Vaucelles station is served by trains on the H line. The building was renovated around ten years ago, and there's a ticket office where you can buy your ticket. Every day, between 5 a.m. and around 11 p.m., dozens of trains take you to Valmondois in one direction, and Ermont-Eaubonne and Gare du Nord in the other. This is the second station in Taverny, serving this part of the town. A small parking lot is located nearby.
GARE DE BESSANCOURT
Read moreBetween the Frépillon and Taverny stations lies the Gare de Bessancourt, serving the town of the same name. The Transilien H line passes through here, providing an efficient connection to Paris's Gare du Nord (about 40 minutes). Although the station building is no longer directly accessible, self-service ticket machines are available. There's a small parking lot in front of the station, and it's also linked to other districts and towns in the area by a bus network.
