Straightforward flavors and a success that lasts thanks to the good quality-price ratio. You can also choose the lunch buffet served in the refreshing patio (except on Saturday).

One of the best tables of Tana with efficient service and exemplary regularity. It is also one of the most charming and surprising places, with its succession of old cars and its multiple collections of exposed objects. A subdued atmosphere with a remarkable cachet. The menu, fresh and light at lunchtime, becomes more sophisticated and gastro in the evening: crayfish salad with mafana bream, grouper tartar with seasonal fruits, zebu medallions with morel cream, etc. Prices are a bit high for Mada but reasonable considering the quality.

Le Marais is an ode to the luxury culinary world. Launched in 2019 by food and caviar enthusiasts, the restaurant boasts an ultra-chic setting on the top floor of a building and offers high-flying cuisine. Excellence, technicality and creativity make the success of the place. All the dishes are concocted on the spot from selected fresh products. You will be invited into the kitchen (surrounded by bay windows) to discover the know-how of a perfectly trained team. The caviar is here in the honor and the choice of the wines admirable. We recommend it!

Mariette Andrianjaka is an institution in Madagascar. Commander of the Blue Cords of France in 1985, she is under distinctions: the walls of his house are covered with various titles or diplomas. And it is in her home that this adorable cook invites us, for a tasty meal, in a bed and breakfast atmosphere. She lives on the heights and receives only on order: it is also appropriate to call and book. Everyone knows it, it is she who often represents the Great Island question gastronomy. It would be a shame to leave Tana without tasting his "tatao" (seven royal dishes) for example. No card, but an imposing and high quality menu, which you will discover in the evening in the lounge. Farm school of reinsertion of the homeless of Tana, created by the Franciscan brother Jacques Tronchon, and held by the cordial Fanja and her team. Originality of the table: your salad and vegetables (beans, zucchinis, tomatoes, cheeses, yoghurts...) are picked in the vegetable garden. The prices are very low and the site is deliciously refreshing. A good way to participate without miserabilism in the reinsertion of the poorest, near Tana. The ASA accompanies voluntary families, selected to benefit from the rural reinsertion program.

From the terrace of the restaurant of the Palissandre hotel & spa, we overlook the city: a superb setting, both by day and by night. Very good cuisine proposed by a passionate and creative Malagasy chef, both for local and French specialties, the dishes are original and well presented: skate wing, octopus and mung peas, gourmet duo of goose, roasted piglet press, roasted duckling fillet with shellfish butter. For dessert, Manjary chocolate cube with pok-pok heart, citrus-ginger feuillantine... A good address.

The Tsiky restaurant is a small address with a peaceful and reassuring atmosphere. You will settle down in a luminous room, which offers a striking view on the hill of Faravohitra. The service is pleasant here, and on the plate, the dishes are rather copious. Tsiky's cuisine is rather Malagasy inspired with a touch of European influence. The prices are far from being excessive and the quality is there. Dany knows how to maintain the level of his restaurant. We recommend this nice little restaurant!

An innovative concept: you are being offered to prepare your traditional Malagasy Meal! The wood fire in a typical pot (vilany), and the dishes will be served in the typical dishes also (tsatokaty). Close to the Queen's palace, this bucolic restaurant offers a superb panorama on the whole capital and the plain of Tana. You can sit in the shade of the terrace or by the fireplace on chilly evenings. The particularity of this establishment is to have several spaces: under the parasols you can sip a cocktail on the terrace while ordering a hamburger, a salad or a daily menu based on seasonal products. The gastronomes will give themselves rdv'au Paris Lounge, an air-conditioned restaurant proposing a menu of dishes based on local products. At the Terrace of Nosy Be, open to the garden, it will be tapas or pinchos. The heart of the place: the bar with its wide range of rum-based cocktails! The terrace is one of the most beautiful in Tana, overlooking the royal hill and its historic buildings. The dining room exudes the atmosphere of a chic bistro with attentive service, under the leadership of Dominique, always on hand to welcome businessmen and travelers passing through. The kitchen plays with a wide range of flavors: pressé de fois gras mi-cuit à la vanille et sa gelée d'abricot relevée au poivre sauvage, meringue glacée praliné aux écorces d'orange confites..

An address always appreciated for its service (efficient and diligent) and the rather constant quality of the cuisine, of Creole and Malagasy inspiration. It's very good and rich.
