Right up there, on the northern tip of Mahé, the Carana is an establishment of great standing. The 40 chalets, 12 of which have a private infinity pool, offer noble materials and grey and pastel tones. From each chalet, there is of course a breathtaking view of the ocean. An ocean that can also be enjoyed from the hotel's beach. Unless one prefers the superb infinity pool overlooking it. Of course, a state-of-the-art spa awaits you and, after a drink at the beach bar, you can sit down at the Orizon, the (good) table at the Carana.

A real favorite! On an almost private beach, where you feel like you're alone in the world, a few modern bungalows of 80^m2 are located. Bliss is an attitude, more than a hotel. This is in any case the slogan of the place opened in 2009, but for once it is not a hollow formula. Indeed, the place breathes well-being and zen. In this hotel built in the 1960 s and recently renovated by an interior architect, you can choose between eight rooms on the beach and eleven bedrooms on the small hill. All rooms have a sea view. The decoration is being refined: wood, white hues, natural materials… At the reception, the tone is given, with a huge angle sofa that invites you to relax in front of a panoramic window offering a magnificent view.

On the side of the common spaces, a private beach, a pontoon, a natural sea water pool, des beds to lazing while watching the ocean… And a spa, because Bliss is intended above all to relax. A «zen and natural» side that can be found in the fresh, delicious breakfast and also served on the terrace with sea view. Excellent address whose only defect - which is also a quality - is that it is a little a in Beauvallon (5-7 minutes by car).

Introducing the latest luxury hotel in the Seychelles! Opened in March 2023, the Laïla has changed the face of Anse Royale and offers a pleasant haven of peace. Although it's not on the beach (there's only the small road to cross), everything revolves around the establishment's superb swimming pool. The 84 rooms (including 8 suites) are beautifully decorated and all have a small terrace. The Laïla also boasts its own spa (open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for outside guests), a gym, two restaurants and three bars.

While L'Escale Resort, which opened its (luxurious) doors in 2021, is not located on Eden Island, its pontoon is right across the street on Roche Caiman. As on the island, the establishment does not have a beach but offers many excursions at sea from its marina. For a swim and a bubble after a day of sightseeing, head for the beautiful swimming pool or the high quality spa of the establishment, which also offers 20 high standard rooms and a table d'hôte.

At Captain's Villa, you're always warmly welcomed (by a charming Seychellois family) and can choose between double rooms, family rooms or 2-bedroom apartments (with fully-equipped kitchens). With its very attractive prices, this is a good option for discovering this wild corner of Mahé, where lovers of solitude and snorkeling will find plenty to do. All you have to do is cross the road to enjoy the superb Anse Forbans! In short, an address we warmly recommend.

The nine spacious air-conditioned rooms have a nice terrace overlooking the small garden of the hostel, which is home to a (small) swimming pool. The establishment of Mickaël Lavigne, who took over the address of the late and famous Jean-Claude Plumas (known as Plume), offers a friendly, family and intimate atmosphere, where children can even enjoy a small playground. Live travellers, mainly French-speaking, make up a large part of the clientele. In short, a great place to put your things down and set off to discover the island.

Le Triskell is a bed and breakfast located in Au Cap, Mahe, Seychelles. Although we don't have much information about this establishment, it seems to offer comfortable accommodation for travelers. Le Triskell is listed in the tourism & accommodation category, more specifically in the guest houses category.

This is the first hotel to open on Eden Island. The reception area of this chic and uncluttered establishment is open to the four winds and its pools invite you to relax. The 88 rooms have all the comforts you would expect from such a hotel: spacious and designed, they are a perfect retreat after a day's stroll. The restaurant, which serves excellent breakfasts, proposes a well-felt Creole and international menu. Finally, the infinity pool facing Mahé is delightful, especially at sunset facing the marina.

A 5 minute walk from the beach, this apart-hotel is a very good option, especially for families. Built on a hillside facing the bay, this Residence offers two types of accommodation. To the 5 studios fitted out in a modern building, with a kitchenette, Wi-Fi and a terrace, we prefer the 3 simple and spacious Creole-style villas (with a perfect varangue, TV, Wifi), certainly costing double, but with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, therefore ideal for a family or friends. House cleaning every day, linen provided and barbecue area available. And the friendly owner Paul Hodoul is very attentive to his guests!

In a pretty yellow house of modern construction, the charming owner Aline offers well decorated apartments for rent (on the first floor, with Wifi and cable TV) with a large living room. In the heart of the local and traditional houses, the apartments are located only 3 minutes walk from the beach where water sports are available. Cleaning is done daily (except Sundays) and towels are provided. Reservations for a minimum of three nights and excellent value for money.

Here's a discreet, endearing hideaway on the road to Sans-Souci (transfers provided). A path winds through the jungle to the Durup family home. A beautiful modern villa with 4 bedrooms for guests in search of refined sobriety. Guests can also take advantage of the small swimming pool before plunging into the city, a quarter of an hour away by car. As for the table d'hôte, it's exquisite. A 240^m2 house is also available (with car, transfers and daily cleaning) and a villa for 8-10 people is planned for early 2024.

This 30 m Turkish schooner (which can be privatized) has 5 air-conditioned double cabins and offers all-inclusive packages (taxes included) that are less expensive than booking hotels and transfers. A good deal with paddles and kayaks on board, as well as fishing and scuba-diving equipment. The upper deck also boasts a huge sundeck, a lounge and a large convivial table. In short, a luxury sailboat (with motor) for an unforgettable experience. Cruises to remote islands (Aldabra, Amirantes) are also on the program.

Although the H Resort became the Story Seychelles in 2021, nothing has changed in this superb hotel with 100 beautifully decorated rooms (84 suites of 55^m2, 14 Beach Pool Villas of 150^m2 and 2 Grand Beach Pool Villas of 300^m2) that blend in with nature. Some suites even have a small piece of garden. The Beach Pool Villas have an outdoor shower and a small private pool. There is no shortage of activities (Sesel Spa, tennis court, gym, beach volleyball, petanque, yoga, paddle, kayak), while the children's club takes care of your kids.

We fell in love with this beautiful residence opened by a Franco-Sychellois couple, Jean-Louis and Mary-Anna, where welcome and conviviality are kings. A building of the same architecture as Kenwyn House was built to welcome guests. Here, the trees are kings and the rooms are named Santol, Albizia or Eucalyptus. All rooms have a refined decoration with a small touch of objects found in flea markets, and a view of the eucalyptus forest. The terrace, where breakfast is served, offers a 180° view with the sea in the foreground.

This is an unusual address, since it is the old radio station on the island. Known in the past for its café, it offers six rooms and a villa that can accommodate five people. What can we say about the impressive palm-roofed lobby, which juts out like the prow of a boat, or the infinity pool overlooking the bay? Simply magnificent. Snorkeling sessions are offered by this establishment, which is also involved in preserving the seabed by replanting coral on the reef. You can even adopt one to follow its evolution.

«View, vision and vision»: the remark of Fabienne and Patrick, on the guestbook, proves… well seen. Perched in 1998 at the north end of the dazzling Royal Cove, and now operated by a Mauritian group, this small hotel has a large terrace with swimming pool, a magnificent panorama in Cinémascope on the so-called bay, in the middle of which Saint Joseph's bell tower and the little Bald Island are taking place. Its ten rooms (five deluxe, four super deluxe and one Day Room convenient on departure days) with royal view, are air-conditioned and spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped, with safe, minibar, kettle, TV and Wi-Fi. Fifty metres lower, facing the adorable Souris Island, a pleasant small beach allows you to lazing under coconut trees and throw yourself into Great blue. A good half hour bus from the capital, a hotel at a relatively low price for such comfort.

It is a good idea for you to forget the few defects of the place, especially the noisy nature of the Villéa chamber. Positive partie, the Romantic Bungalow is just steps away from the beach, just to cross the road to find the sand. It is better to reserve, so the small business of Laurette Mancienne turns very well, its price being true very attractive for such a situation. On the table, the nearby Boat House restaurant offers its 320-SR Creole buffet and the Proche pizza, even closer, can feed those who don't want to cook in their studette. Guests also benefit from a discount on sea travel, just as they benefit from a special price on car rental (€ 40 per day for a manual box and € 50 for an automatic fee).

Designed by painter Andrew Gee, this charming little address, which houses four units, deserves to be better known. A house in the midst of the lush nature of Baie Lazare, on the road to Anse Soleil, that will delight budget travelers on the west coast. Pretty decor, a kitchen, WiFi, peace and quiet and a 10-minute walk to the beach (be careful, it's very steep): what more could you ask for? Andrew and his team also offer an excellent welcome. An address worth discovering, although you'll need a car.

Scattered in the nearby tropical garden, you will find twelve chalets of good comfort (with safe), with a kitchen corner, terrace, air-conditioned bedroom and a living room with rattan furniture where an extra bed can be added. For families, two of these villas have two rooms (210 €). The value for money ratio is excellent: living in the middle of 900 m ² of garden in a real bungalow proves to be more than pleasant. The ocean on one side, the lush seychelles reliefs of the other… It's nice, but it's fun! It is therefore a good pied-à-terre de mer (which is reachable in a few steps), especially frequented by Germans and French. Possibility to rent a car from 40 €.

It's impossible to miss this blue house along the coast of the coast! It's the big house version kitsch version of Guy Denis, this former accountant, who never leaves his blue T-shirt, having treated the decor of its small hotel whose four rooms, air-conditioned and colored are decorated with local taste, bed covered beds and stuffed fabrics. And the fountain and its Pis Pis local add a kitsch kitsch side to this friendly address. As for the garnet lounge, with its cushions and light lighting, it is a summit of the kind: guaranteed atmosphere! Musician for many years, Guy Denis has never been praying to give a little concert to his guests, who will not be able to leave without a CD of the bonhomme. You can use the kitchen to better enjoy this Blue Château, emblematic of the interior décor that the average Seychelles enjoys.

Having become famous for its Sunday Creole buffets (1pm-3pm, SR600) served with feet in the sand under its straw hut, Batista Horter has invested in the hard stuff. Its raised cottages open onto a small terrace and feature 18 large, air-conditioned, local-style rooms, complete with breakfast. There's really nothing exceptional about them, but on the shore, the suites offer a sublime view of this beach paradise, which can also be admired from the small swimming pool. New rooms with sea or mountain views are planned for 2024.

Here's a well-kept secret! At the end of a small path leading down to the ocean from the main road, four charming apartments (for two to four people) await you, on the ground or second floor, with direct access to the beach. A virtually private beach, which can also be enjoyed from any of the terraces hidden between the palm trees, and which also offers excellent snorkeling opportunities. The promise of a secluded stay in a unique and idyllic setting! Car required.

This resort is located on the beachfront or a little higher up on a lush hill. Its 30 luminous villas (250^m2) are a summit of refinement (the only difference between the Ocean Panoramic and the Maia Signature being the proximity to the beach). Covered in palm fronds, they favor wood, their huge bathroom extending to an infinity pool. The spa nestles in the rocks, as does the meditation pavilion. The table is also of a starred level.

A good address for those who don't necessarily want to live in the water and have their own car. On the rugged road leading to the delightful beaches of Petite Anse and Anse Soleil (2 km away, after all!) and in a tropical setting, Paula offers two two-bedroom self-catering apartments, with terrace and breathtaking panoramic view over Anse à la Mouche. The air-conditioned apartments also offer good value for money. A good base camp for those who want to enjoy the west coast on a budget.

Ah! Sunset on Beau Vallon Bay… Certainly unforgettable, the heights of this steep hill on which Calva Evers, the former international windsurfing champion, hung the five houses of his very flowery Pti Payot with breathtaking views. Each with an air-conditioned bedroom (3 € plus), equipped kitchen and living room (with trunk), but a nice decoration. The only charm? That of the panoramic terrace, No 3 being by far the most open on the beautiful horizon. For 5 €, Thérèse will add a folding bed if necessary. For this is the great interest of the establishment: its price: 100 € for four, hard to do better! And to feed everyone, that's to go shopping, it's 500 m lower, Beau Vallon road, at Mike's Store. Given the coast to go back, if you walk, better don't forget the bread…

Between road and ocean, the Weidner open their lovely house on stilts and wooden partitions. Three of the four rooms, air conditioning free at night and for 25 SR all day, have a sea view, No. 3 with our preference. They are white, clean and all overlook a large and pleasant lounge, where one can take tea, watch TV or break the crust, many take away being situated nearby. At the end of the garden, decorated with two coconut trees, a small private beach makes it possible to dip. This guesthouse is a good address for small budgets, the price of 60 €, being one of the lowest in the archipelago. And if you speak English, you can talk with Otto, a former German engineer with a lot of things to tell about Africa, where he bourlingua so long before you know the Seychelles in 1976. Coming for five months, it never went back… Otto will explain to you, for example, that the Zulu name of his house, Lalla Panzi, means more or less in French: " Don't worry and sleep at peace ". On the other side of the road is the nine-hole golf course Mahé.

He and Natacha welcome not only development workers who are passing through or waiting for accommodation, but also "low-budget" tourists who appreciate both the "beautiful air" of the place (at the foot of the cliffs of the Three Brothers), on the heights of Victoria, and the proximity of the town centre (ten minutes on foot) and the botanical garden. A quarter of an hour's drive north of Victoria, this Mediterranean-style villa has just a few air-conditioned rooms, admittedly of basic comfort, but at this price it's a bargain. Rooms 5, 6, 7 and 8 are the best, as they all have a view. The lounge and dining room, in local wood, are representative of a Seselwa interior. From the pleasant terrace, the horizon opens onto Île Sainte-Anne. In short, if you don't want to spend a fortune on your B&B, you can drop off your backpack at the friendly home of Monsieur and Madame Brioche.

Pineapple is a wonderful address! The establishment offers guests 8 superb brand-new apartments, beautifully decorated in light tones. Whether on the ground floor or upstairs, each apartment features a fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom that opens onto a living room and terrace with breathtaking ocean views. Just a few steps into the garden, with its magnificent swimming pool, is all it takes to enjoy the beach. Kayaks, paddles and snorkeling equipment are also available. A highly recommended address!

Located a little above the road at Anse Parnell, these brand-new apartments are nestled in the vegetation and offer spectacular ocean views. There's a choice of stylish, modernly decorated one-bedroom (classic or superior) or two-bedroom chalets with private pools (€600 for four people). Here, the day necessarily starts well, since breakfast is taken in a room open to the four winds a few meters from the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the bay.
