This snack restaurant has the advantage of being on the beach. At the edge of the small swimming pool, it is a practical address to have lunch between two sunbathing sunbeds and a breaststroke. The menu is varied, between seafood and grilled food, and will satisfy a wide range of desires. Upstairs, under a nice straw mattress, there is the Coral Asia (same hours) which offers a wide range of sushi, sashimi, tempura and other yakitori. It is a very good place to eat Japanese food.

With its sleek, chic brasserie style, Muse, which is housed in the sublime Mango House, treats its guests to Italian specialties with a Creole twist. The hotel is housed in the former home of the famous photographer Gian Paolo Barbieri and Muse has been described by the photographer as "the perfect balance between refinement and casualness". Chef Carmine's menu, created daily with fresh market produce, is a delight.

Finished the time when, on Takamaka's small beach, Batista Horter just made fish under his boats. The success of the hotel is now in the biznes, owner of several bungalows, which he planted around his rustic restaurant, distorting the beauty of the site. There is no less to eat, feet in the sand and under a large boats, a fire kitchen that honours especially seafood products. Although prices have risen, the Mahélois continue to relax on Sunday, around the Creole (350 SR) buffet, rich with twenty-five dishes and in music, this feast extending beer in hand and on the airs of séga. An end to banquet in Seychelles, while the marmaille plays on the beach or in the waves. In the week, you can be used on takamaka tables, whether it be a lawyer or miniature salad salad, a ginger crab or shark steak, a fish, an octopus or a grilled lobster. Not given, but one can also settle for a fresh fruit juice of papaya, passion, pineapple, lime… The dishes are good without being exceptional in the light of the price, the best choice for a simple drink or buffet, because this is the framework you pay.

This is the home of the Rigamonti brothers, who have been delighting the world for decades by candlelight. Combining their native Italy in every possible way, the brothers serve veal with ham and mushroom sauce, an excellent tuna tartar and spaghetti with lobster and whiskey sauce. Real Italian pasta, of course. Their shrimps are also famous: curried, grilled or spicy. Italy also flows in the glasses and adds to the romanticism of this table. You can also sit on the peaceful terrace, facing the vacoas, where the evening air is so soft.

Now that's a good plan! Perry may no longer be active behind his barbecue under a palm tree in Anse Royale since the pandemic, but he continues to delight the world with dishes that he can deliver to you if you're self-catering on the east coast. The dishes change according to the catch and the market, but you can generally enjoy his fish kebabs or grilled chicken, always accompanied by a salad. As for drinks, softs and beers always arrive fresh! Unbeatable value for money and a real bargain!

A wide angle on the Impressive Cove and Souris Island, from this high-perched hotel where you can take steps for lunch in India, around Indian and Creole dishes prepared in front of the swimming pool by a Mauritian chef. Also proposed caris, pizza, sandwiches and a fish of the day. And since the swimming pool is there under your eyes, why not refresh yourself…

At Mickaël and Lyn's, where the welcome is always smiling, you can enjoy a number of international dishes, but it's mainly fish and shellfish that are the stars of the menu: bourgeois with saffron sauce, capitaine with passion sauce, shark with combava sauce, swordfish with green pepper sauce, crab with ginger or chili sauce, grilled cicada de mer... Unless you opt for a boudin créole or a good lobster pizza. And, to baptize it all, some fine French and South African wines await in the cellar. As you can see, this is a highly recommended address.

In this dream setting, overlooking the beach, you're in for a treat! Between tradition and audacity, the chef (who also offers a suggestion each day) works the produce to perfection, with tuna sashimi, freshly caught fish of the day, Charolais meats, Creole fondue and a wide variety of oysters on the menu. All washed down with one of the many labels from the cellar. At lunchtime, the menu is lighter but always tasty, for a treat between two swims. Also worth trying is the à la carte breakfast on Sundays (from 10am to 12pm).

This colourful little café offers something to satisfy a small hunger during the day because you can choose from a juice bar, sweet and savoury pancakes, cupcakes and other delicacies, frozen yoghurts, excellent smoothies, a few slices of pizza and small sandwiches, paninis, hot dogs and wraps. So this is a very nice address, which you can enjoy on the spot or by taking your sweet or savoury treat on the nearby Eden Island pontoon, with the view as well. Only one thing to say: sey so good!

Immersed in an incredible decor, the Del Place bar-restaurant is entirely decked out in wood, and offers a menu specializing in ultra-fresh, well-worked seafood, including bourgeois and grouper. But this superb address also offers sandwiches. Special mention must also be made of the assortment of tapas (460 SR), ideal for two people, and the farandole of desserts. Finally, you can indulge in a sunset cocktail, which is particularly incredible in this area. A must!

Nicole and Françoise are restaurateurs at heart! In the evening, it's best to arrive as early as 7pm, under the large straw hut-style roof facing the beach. Reservations are essential. For SR 585 (SR 300 for children under 10), a typical Creole buffet with a dozen salads (avocado, mango...) and as many hot dishes (barbecued fish, chicken, octopus curry, lentils...). The rest of the time, à la carte dishes and a friendly bar await you.

It's impossible not to see, on the roadside, the giant black and gold anchor signalling this Anchor Café, very practical in case of hunger to be appeased on the spot. This bar-restaurant, with a relaxed and smiling welcome, offers honest dishes, from squid salad to the fish of the day, including a more gourmet beef filet. The establishment also offers large ice creams and pizzas as a take-away, unless you just want to drink a piña colada at sunset.

This is certainly the best take-away in the Seychelles and a preferred option for tight budgets discovering the capital. At the Papagalo, chicken & chips and spare ribs are at the top of the Seychellois side of the pavement. Tourists, for their part, prefer chicken curry or grilled fish, served in a tray with rice, and Bolognese pasta. Of course, as far as drinks are concerned, it's a can of Coke for everyone! Some good cakes and cupcakes too (provided you like sugar!) to finish.
