Small restaurant with a lovely terrace, although it is situated on the road. A large choice of salads (from 7 € to 11 €), but mainly from fish and meat cooked to plancha. The daily menu is 11 € and includes an entrance, a dish and a dessert with water or wine. The special menu is 21 €, and lets you choose from a vast proposal of fish, seafood and meat, all unappetising.

Traditional and international cuisine served in a boat décor designed as a tribute to the shipwrights (translation of "Mestre d'Aixa") of Maó harbor. Start with a few homemade croquetes, one of the chef's salads or a green tomato gaspatxo, before moving on to a bacallà amb pisto i ou, octopus ramen, chicken canelons or corball and llagostin ceviche, and finish with a delicious French toast or lemon tart. Sounds appetizing, doesn't it?

A great place to eat tapas, but also more elaborate dishes, shoulder to shoulder with the locals. The lunch menu is copious and the rations generous. In short, a true bar de poble as we like it. The best value for money in the city. View of the harbour of the small terrace and authentic kitchen in a simple but neat setting. The boss is as charming as the servers are efficient. Food prices are still affordable. The caldera, a feast worthy of the kings, is at 57 €, the parillada of pescado at 32 €. Also good grilled fish.

For those who are really not hungry, perhaps because it is not time, the ride could be accompanied by ice. Enjoy it at Sa Gelateria, a artisan glacier installed on a terrace of the Paseo marítimo. Twenty perfumes (1,40 € the ball).

The Ses Salines restaurant overlooks the beach - which is very busy in summer - and its pretty terrace overlooks the sea and the many boats anchored in the bay. Here, seafood is the star attraction, especially mussels, prepared in a variety of ways. You'll also be able to sample some excellent seafood paellas and the famous caldereta de llagosta. At lunchtime, the restaurant offers an interesting menu for around 20 euros.

Located in the heart of downtown Es Migjorn Gran, Es Chic, opened in 2021, is a nice place to grab a bite to eat at lunch or dinner. The menu is filled with local recipes and products and offers residents and travelers alike typical Menorcan dishes at a very reasonable price. Seafood, meat dishes in sauce and fresh vegetables are all on the menu. Pleasant service team and warm village atmosphere on the terrace in the summer. Perfect for a local restorative stop!

Impossible to miss, La Guapa, with its flight of white-topped tables, is located in the heart of the narrow streets of Fornells. A cozy dining room and a lovely terrace where you can enjoy traditional Mediterranean specialties prepared with expertise by chef Rubén Darío and his son Jon: caldereta de llagosta (lobster stew), arrossos (rice), but also fish and meat km0 are prepared with great skill and accompanied by vegetables grown in the restaurant's own garden. Freshness, good humor and gastronomic inventiveness are the order of the day.

It's in the port of Maó that you'll find the modern, cosy and bright Calucha. It's a small gastro-bar offering simple, well-made dishes based on local island produce. Here, locals and tourists alike can enjoy one (or more) of the five dishes of the day, washed down with one of the wines from the premises' excellent cellar. The menu includes sandwiches, cheese and charcuterie platters, and high-quality preserves. A reference in the port.

The Tamarindos straw hut is a must-see, floating above the water in front of Es Grau beach. From the terrace deck, you can enjoy a sensational view of the natural park and the distant horizon. Although the site has been around for a long time, it has now been reinvested by a young, dynamic team who have turned it into an attractive venue. The decor has been revised and is now more cosy. The music is good, the service team friendly. The arrossos are not bad, though a little expensive. A good address for a drink rather than a meal.

More than just a meal, Sa Parereta d'En Doro offers a complete culinary experience in an intimate, elegant and relaxed setting. Chef Doro Biurrun leads the way, treating the few guests seated in the warm dining room to just six tables (8 in the terrace garden). On the menu, dishes with a resolutely Minorcan character: rice with Iberian ham, roast eggplant and smoked sardines, fish of the day with asparagus... The place also houses a lounge where you can taste some very fine wines.

In an old country house in the center of Llucmaçanes, chefs Javier Goya (Grupo Triciclo), José Fuentes (Kulto) and master sommelier Fran Ramírez have opened Burdell de Foc. In a tranquil setting, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can enjoy a wide variety of original dishes, mainly grilled. Free-range chicken, squid with roasted onions, eggplant with yoghurt and herbs... Everything is truly delicious, prepared with care and expertise. A place with a difference that's well worth the detour!

If this restaurant seems so new, it's simply because it is! It's Alaior's latest opening in the restaurant category. It's a gastro-bar specializing in classic tapas, but also daring to propose a few more daring dishes. Chef Pau Sines, winner of the European Young Chef Award 2022, has put his stamp on the recipes. Prices are a little high, but the address stands out in the village's culinary landscape. Attractive light wood décor evokes the interior of a chalet.

This is the main restaurant of the Suites del Lago hotel. Godai is the world's first Japanese-Minorcan fusion restaurant! Under the guidance of Michelin-starred chef Julián Mármol, local products are processed using high-precision techniques from Japan, in the elegant, contemporary setting of a service room open to the four winds. The man interprets and modulates, plays with traditions, flavors and textures, and the result is stunning. Admittedly, it's not cheap, but the experience is worth it. Don't forget to book in season!

The very first Irish pub to officially distribute Guinness on the island, The Blarney Stone is now over 20 years old and known among locals as the S'Irlandes. The location, right between two of the most beautiful coves in the area (Cala Santandría and Cala Blanca), is perfect for when the sun goes down. La Calita is a superb seaside restaurant with a quiet terrace facing the pretty little cove of Biniancolla, not far from Punta Prima. Hervé, a Frenchman in love with the island, runs the place with an expert hand, offering his customers a very pleasant Mediterranean gastronomic experience based mainly on seafood, but not only. An elegant setting that doesn't overdo it, well-presented and very fresh dishes, a friendly welcome - it's all there! Try to save room for dessert!

A classic in the city center, Can Avelino is a regular spot for lunchtime feasting on a low-priced menu in a pleasant bistro atmosphere. From tapas to main courses, the plates are generously garnished, and local produce is the order of the day. In addition to the Spanish staples, there are a number of original dishes such as sweet potato with green pesto, breaded shrimp with mayonnaise and mango, and chicken curry with red peppers. Great value for money.

Bondhu is an Indian specialty restaurant opened in 2017 offering gluten-free dishes. Meat dishes in sauce, as well as a host of vegetarian and vegan options are on the menu at this address, which gives pride of place to traditional Hindu cuisine. Chickpea and lentil-based dishes are sure to please gluten-intolerant diners, but one thing's for sure: whatever you order, you'll be treated to subtle, straightforward flavors! Perfect for a change from Mediterranean cuisine.

Although pizzas are the real stars of this gastro bar-pizzeria and are recommended, you'll find plenty more here. Salads, poke bowls, seafood, toast, cachopos and photo burgers, among other offerings, complete the menu of this welcoming establishment, with options at affordable prices. Located in the residential area of Cala en Blanes, just over 5 minutes from Ciutadella, the Impar gastro bar has a terrace and a set menu. An economical option for the hungry.

It's in the port of Maó that we find this fresh young address run by two passionate young entrepreneurs. The menu ranges from snacks and tapas (collectively known as "picoteo") to more elaborate dishes accompanied by sophisticated drinks and cocktails. Among the star dishes, the excellent black rice combined with meat or fish occupies pride of place. Desserts deserve a special place too! Friday and Saturday, it's music time!

Es Llaüt, which takes its name from Menorca's famous traditional boats, is the gastronomic novelty in the port of Cales Fonts, in Es Castell. Facing the bay, the terrace offers a fantastic view of the mouth of the port of Maó and the fishing boats at anchor. This tortillería (tortilla bar) is as small as it is new in the Maó landscape! From a tiny counter in the town's old center, a mother and daughter, both Madrilenians, prepare splendid, tasty tortillas with a smile! Eggs, potatoes and a good dose of know-how are the main ingredients. But you can also enjoy tapas, croquetes and other simple dishes prepared with great care! An address worth discovering!

Sa Factoria des Baixa is a place that aims to be a little canaille, a little popular, but above all an address where people come to have a good time! In a vast, luminous service room with a contemporary, industrial decor, you come to be surprised, to discover new sensations! Preparations are particularly creative, oscillating between the great Mediterranean classics and more global cuisine. A complete, affordable lunch menu is also available on weekdays.

Downstairs from the hotel of the same name, the Loar restaurant can seat up to 150 people and is open to non-residents of the hotel, which is rather good news given the excellent value for money of the cuisine served. Menorcan specialities are offered on the two menus (daily and special) as well as à la carte: oliaigo (local soup), albergínies farcides (stuffed eggplants ), calamar farcit (stuffed squid) and caldereta de llagosta (lobster stew). A warm, traditional, local address.

This historic restaurant, well known to Menorcan locals in this part of the island, located near the Biniancolla urbanization, was renovated and reopened in summer 2021. Set against a backdrop of breathtaking sea views, the restaurant serves typical, high-quality cuisine based on the island's rice, fish and meats. The end-of-the-world ambience, with the constant motion of the waves crashing against the sand, creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Don't forget to save some space for desserts! A classic that's back on the scene!

This is Menorca's first boutique hotel, often cited in the international press, launched in 1998 by Sheelagh-Lindsay Ratliff-Mullen, an English fashion designer (who died in 2023) who transformed an old ^17th-century farmhouse into a haven of peace in pure Mediterranean style. The garden is superb, the interiors of both the hotel and its 18 rooms are rustic in style, and the restaurant is most romantic. The swimming pool and terrace, set under the pergola, are a delight.

Tapas and cocktails with a sea view: that's what La Frañola offers, a fairly recent addition to the landscape of the fishing village of Fornells, having only been open since spring 2022. The owners' plan? To create a pleasant, welcoming space in which to cultivate this culture of sharing around creative tapas and a good glass of wine (or cocktail, for those who like them). The menu is short, the produce is fresh, the sunsets splendid... All that's left is to wish La Frañola the best of luck!

A new project from chef Pere Pons, Es Racó de Macaret is a restaurant and gastrobar located in one of Menorca's most charming coastal areas: Na Macaret, on the north coast. At lunchtime, it's usually a traditional arroç served with fish, seafood and local vegetables (5 or 6 courses complete the menu if rice doesn't appeal to you). In the evening, it's time for tapas, portions to share that are as varied as they are delicious! In short, an authentic Mediterranean address with flavors full of character.
