Opened in 1970 and renovated in 2015, Café Balear offers an interesting daily lunch menu. Very popular with the locals, this is one of the best restaurants in Ciutadella, with a long queue of customers in the summer (we highly recommend taking a seat around 8pm at the latest to avoid the wait). Once you are settled, you will enjoy a typical Menorcan gastronomic experience, based on products brought back every day from the sea by the Rosa Santa, the restaurant's fishing boat.

Patrick, a Frenchman who has lived in Menorca for many years, offers French specialties combined with local produce. The menu varies according to the season... and the imagination of the chef, always ready to explore new trends. Some suggestions? Duck confit with orange and carrot purée with cumin, aubergine-tomato crumble, vegetable Tarte Tatin... The place is very pleasant, starting with the terrace-pergola open in summer. In winter, it's best to head for the welcoming indoor lounge. Excellent wine cellar. We love it.

In one of the quietest streets in the center of Ciutadella, this historic establishment opened in 1992. It's "the place to be" for pizza. Wood-fired oven, fresh quality ingredients, dough and artisanal know-how... the perfect combination. In addition to the extensive pizza menu, à la carte dishes offer good value for money. Varied salads, grilled vegetables, a selection of Iberian charcuterie, shrimps, mussels and calamari, carpaccios, rib steaks and grilled monkfish. Pizzeria Roma belongs to the famous Cafè Balear.

Bep Caules, creator and founder of the renowned Cafè Balear in the port of Ciutadella, opens the doors of Pins 46, a place where you can rediscover traditions such as the Vermut moment, dishes and recipes from the 1970s. Located in the heart of the historic quarter, in a typical Menorcan house with a welcoming interior patio, you can enjoy excellent tapas made with products from the island, such as the speciality eggs and bouquets from Ciutadella. Croquettes, octopus a la gallega, carpaccios, meatballs or mussels complete the menu.

A menu of fish, meat, but also simpler dishes such as pizzas or salads. Prices vary greatly according to your choice: Crawfish paella or hamburger… this is the question! At the end of the port, it's a real treat!

Contrary to what its name indicates, it is not a casino but a restaurant-bar, or it is good to come in the evening to take a drink, eat tapas or listen to music; jazz concert every Tuesday evenings.

Menu at 15 €. Take from 15 to 20 € the dish. Good fish card but also grilled meats.

El Rais restaurant invites you to an inventive gastronomic experience in Port de Maó! This new address is the brainchild of the owners of the Ses Forquilles restaurant. The restaurant specializes in rice-based dishes, hence the name "El Rais", a play on the word "rice". The original, gourmet tapas to share make an excellent introduction. The proportions are small, but the flavors are there! A fine wine list.

La Cayena is the place to be if you are a traveller. Pabo, Mónica and their grandchildren, Nico and Martín, have travelled around the world and brought back various experiences and influences, including culinary ones. For more than ten years, the restaurant La Cayena has been offering a culinary journey to the four corners of the world: Mediterranean salads, Thai woks, Japanese tempura, Italian and Moroccan specialities, Tex-Mex, Indian or Pakistani cuisine... Made with local products, they are served on the terrace and prepared with love!

Es Bruc has been a benchmark for over 50 years. Situated at the start of Sant Tomàs beach in a privileged location, it enjoys spectacular views over the islet of Binicodrell. Starting point or return point for excursions to Binigaus and Cala Escorxada. On the Es Bruc terrace, you can enjoy hearty salads, typical Menorcan meats and specialities based on fresh fish of the day, all at a good price. The plates are generous. Lunchtime queues can be long in July and August, so remember to be seated before 1pm.

Sandwiches, tapas, pizza or à la carte between 15 and 18 €.

Map in French. You can eat only a salad and pasta, but it would be a pity not to taste fish. Take 30 € and more if you ask for crustaceans. The best restaurant at the moment. Everything is good!

However, if the prospect of finding you in the middle of the tourist doesn't seem to be exciting, let us dine on the terrace of one of the port's restaurants. From 13 to 15 € per person, a little more for seafood. Modest budgets or small appetites would be relaxing on the countless tapas bars in the harbour area, which is busy at night.

Breakfast, sandwich (4 €), salad (from 7,5 € to 10,50 €), tables of cheese, blocks, salmon (12 € to 13 €), tapas. Ice and sorbets. Air conditioned room or a pleasant terrace on the central square of Explanada.

You will dine in a great patio, surrounded by plants and about other tables. Excellent service and service but a little slow service.

A choice of 51 dishes. The only quality Thai restaurant on the island. Here you will enjoy the «real» Thai cuisine in an applied decor.

Es Cap Roig is one of Menorca's favorite restaurants to enjoy - after a starter of gaspatxo, shrimp cocktail or fisherman's salad - good fresh fish facing the sea, but also to feast on a solid llagostí menorquí (langoustine), one of the island's specialties. There's also a selection of braised meats and paella. The place is packed all summer long. In fact, the restaurant's location offers one of Menorca's finest views. As you can see, advance reservations are essential.

Located on the top of the peninsula, it is the one with the most beautiful view. Breakfast can be served on the terrace, which agréablement the beach.

In a small parallel street in Spanish square. Creative, refined and quality cuisine. Exhibition of works by local artists.

Small restaurant with a lovely terrace, although it is situated on the road. A large choice of salads (from 7 € to 11 €), but mainly from fish and meat cooked to plancha. The daily menu is 11 € and includes an entrance, a dish and a dessert with water or wine. The special menu is 21 €, and lets you choose from a vast proposal of fish, seafood and meat, all unappetising.
