VINEYARD AND CHAMPAGNE
Read moreVillenauxe now has 104 hectares of vine classified as Champagne and is the southwestern end of the Marnese vineyard (Reims, Épernay). Despite this, we are far from the 300 winemakers in the early nineteenth century. Here, champagne almost fell into hiding because of phylloxera, at the beginning of the twentieth century. It took 1970 for the activity to resume. Beyond these bubbles, a Easter fair acts as a trade show with forks for the smallest, street shows, in a friendly atmosphere.

WINDOWS OF ART
Read moreCarolyn Rogers specializes in stained glass (it restores heritage jewels), but is also a talented designer. In his workshop, in the heart of the city, she has a great deal of interest in the transmission of knowledge and ancestral gestures, which is remarkable. It offers a number of individual or collective internships throughout the year, addressing both the novice and a knowledgeable audience. She also performs the torch-spun glass demonstrations. Workshop visits are made by appointment.

SOURCE OF THE VALVE AND WASHER
Read moreNeuville-sur-Valve, St-Benoit-sur-Valve… The Valve waters this whole region before drinking the Parisians. She takes her source here, under St. Alban Church, at Mount Pimont. Go down 50 m and cross the national that gives such a dull and so sad appearance in the village. Don't trust appearances, bend behind the bus bus… You're rewarded: below is a beautiful covered th-century wash wash, with a wooden area, which is well restored and leaves its vats in the first waters of the nascent creek. With a picnic, you will be installed on this green rest area along which the first waves of the watercourse wind.
CUSSANGY MUSHROOMS
Read moreThe owners of the Champignonnière Poulain have changed their name: the appellation Mushrooms of Cussangy anchors the land more. For more than 30 years, the champis are being bounced here, which we like to discover and explain the production of mushrooms from Paris (white or brown), pleurots (gray, yellow and pink) or oak-oak, a Asian mushroom with also called shiitaké. Their creativity is also regularly generated from new recipes available on their website: a real shop with champagne, ratafia and Boudintella (you'll be surprised!). But what made their reputation is of course the fungus of mushrooms at chaource. What a pleasure to taste this cussangeoise specialty after the visit, on hot toast spent at grill: It's a real delight!

ROYER TILE PIPE
Read moreThe Royer family really works to perpetuate the heritage. And with the installation of the sixth generation, Jean-Louis and his wife Edith, the tuilery is taking the cake. She was passionate about pottery, and she installed his workshop, alongside the manufacture of craft tiles with tours and demonstrations, at small prices. So we can discover the tiles made by Jean-Louis, and Edith's works: nest boxes, oils, Middle Ages… The rooms are all baked. Royer tuilery organizes traineeships or refreshments during holidays. If you are lucky, you will arrive at the time of the "big fire": A large oven is lit for nine days for cooking 100 m 3 of tiles. Impressive!
