Marne vineyard in a friendly atmosphere, acting as a trade fair with fairground and street performances
At the entrance to the Champagne region, Villenauxe-la-Grande is a charming blend of vineyards and heritage. The village has cultivated almost 104 ha of vines, mostly Chardonnay, in the Champagne appellation since 1970. A stroll through the village's old streets, its winegrowers' houses and two beautiful churches, including Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, famous for its stained-glass windows by David Tremlett. Another local pride is its past as a ceramics town, which is recounted in the Clay Museum. Villenauxe, a stopover between nature, culture and bubbles.
