You will easily recognize the signature of the Wilfrid Rousse estate: a mermaid holding a fish in her hand. The estate covers 19.5 hectares, including 18 hectares of Cabernet Franc, plus half a hectare of Chenin. The domain benefits from the Organic Agriculture appellation. In this domain, you will find great wines, such as Les Puys, Les Cinq Pères, Le Clos de la Roche or Les Galuches... Wines of pleasure and ageing with aromas of wild strawberry or violet. Charles Pain's estate has been awarded the "Cave d'Excellence" label. With more than forty hectares of AOC Chinon vines, the extent of this vineyard benefits from a beautiful exposure. This property works the grapes with passion and professionalism to obtain vintages of Cabernet Franc (called Breton) for the red and rosé and Pineau de Loire (called Chenin for the Cuvée Blanche). In the heart of Touraine, this 55-hectare vineyard has been welcoming you since 1987 to let you discover its secrets passed down from generation to generation and its greatest vintages.

Since 2013, Philou and Jéjé (former sommeliers) have been sharing their passion for wine at one of the best places in Tours to stock up on good bottles. Their selection is highly specialized, and they take care to taste everything! Take the time to chat about your preferences around the central island. Founded in 1925, this cooperative winery is steeped in history. In this beautiful, modern space, you can discover and taste the diversity of Touraine wines, as the Beaujardin vineyard represents 7 wine-growing communes with rich terroirs and soils, producing distinctive wines. 10 grape varieties, 4 AOP... A wide range of quality wines at affordable prices. The winery produces and sells its own wines from the Domaine des 7 Lieues, a parcel-by-parcel selection of fine terroirs. In this family, the passion for winemaking is passed down from father to son: Franck represents the fifth generation of winemakers. In this winery, which was established in 1991, tradition is combined with modern technology. Production is vinified and champagnized on site. You'll find AOC Touraine-Amboise, Touraine-Mesland, Touraine and Crémant de Loire. Melt for Fleuray bubbles, available in blanc brut, blanc demi-sec and rosé.

Jean Carmet's family home, a 15th century building, has been home to the Maison des Vins for more than 20 years. You will be able to discover the different vineyards and estates of Bourgueil or taste a dozen wines. Not to mention more than a hundred vintages sold at the estate price. You can also learn about the terroirs of the appellation and the secrets behind the vintages. All summer long, the Maison des Vins proposes in its Espace Jean Carmet an exhibition dedicated to the actor.

Initially a mixed farming operation in 1963, the estate gradually devoted itself solely to viticulture. 26 hectares of vines in AOC Chinon, planted with Chenin for the white grape variety, and Cabernet Franc, also known as "Breton" for the red grape variety. Elodie and Eric Herault and their son currently produce 8 different wines including red, rosé, sparkling, white and an old vine. A limited quantity cuvée is up for grabs! The family's welcome is always friendly and personal, and you will taste wines produced with passion.

Following the death of Frédéric, Charly and Rémy, his sons, took over the reins of the family estate in 2020. 27 hectares of organic farming and manual harvesting have made these wines a reference in the appellation. The very typical terroir, composed mostly of sand and gravel in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, clay in Bourgueil, allows the perfect expression of the Cabernet Franc! Discover also Chez Odette, the new summer restaurant of the family.

The Domaine de la Chevalerie offers you an exceptional Bourgueil wine for tasting: finesse and fruity aromas. Created in 1640, this estate is a family history. The vines of La Chevalerie are between 30 and 70 years old. They benefit from a biodynamic culture. The vintages that stand out at the domain are called "parcellaires", which will allow you to discover all the diversity of the terroir of the AOC Bourgueil. You will discover all these details during your visit. And don't forget to bring back these vintages which are worth the trip.

Château and cellars dating from 1856. A vineyard of about thirty hectares. An exceptional terroir, a skilful blend of tradition and modern technology enabling Marielle Henrion, the owner and Champagne oenologist, to develop two traditional methods, one pure Chenin, all elegance, the other very aromatic, combining the power of Chardonnay with the finesse of Chenin. The same demand for quality gives rise to its AOC dry, sweet or mellow wines. Possibility of visits, tastings, stay at the château de l'Aulée in the gîte.

Wine here is a true religion. A religion whose proselytes have their feet firmly on the ground, fortunately. That's why, certainly, they have this red hue... The cellar has existed since the 10th century, around the castle of Chinon. It was Pierre Plouzeau who bought the family estate and who now perpetuates a unique and world-renowned - and often rewarded - know-how (as much for its rich and delicious taste as for its "organic" virtue). Wines that will go wonderfully well with your family meals!

Another one of the many estates in the area that is well worth a visit! Christophe Gaudron has taken over his parents' estate, which covers 12 hectares. His Vouvray releases a quiet strength and bursts into a thousand bubbles on your palate. Attached to the traditional method, elaborated within the cellar, he produces dry and semi-dry still wines every year, sweet wines in good years, and always wines for laying down. A connoisseur, he passes on his passion with a smile!

Les Belles Caves is the ideal place to stock up your cellar with great wines. The shop at Les Halles is elegant and you are received with great professionalism. The selection is sharp, with wines from the region and from other great French wine regions, to vary the pleasures and to travel from one territory to another. Spirits also have their place, notice to the amateurs. The price range is wide and corresponds to all types of budget. At Belles Caves, it is certain that everyone leaves satisfied!

La Cave Saint-Vincent offers a wide range of wines on a semi-private basis and, for the past few years, a fine selection of craft beers from the Centre region and beyond, as well as spirits and accessories such as whisky stones. Don't hesitate to ask the cellarmen, who will be delighted to guide you according to your tastes and budget. The atmosphere here is relaxed, but the advice is top-notch. Here, we prefer a "warm atmosphere reminiscent of a Lyonnais bouchon rather than an austere academy for wine intellectuals"!

You won't be disappointed to discover this place dedicated to the good wines of Chinon! Visit this former troglodyte quarry converted into an ageing cellar. The best terroirs of the appellation are produced here: chinon, savigny-en-véron, beaumont-en-véron, ligré... More than 700 barrels and tens of thousands of bottles of the greatest vintages. You will find very famous wines: different estates are grouped together to select their finest products. In summer, remember to take a warm garment for the visit!

Under Amboise Castle, the wine tasting cellar includes the products of some wine growers in the Touraine-Amboise appellation Area. There are white, rosé, red and wines obtained from the Champagne method. Visitors are entitled to a free tasting offered with a smile.

Valmer Castle, famous for its Renaissance and Italian-inspired gardens and its conservatory vegetable garden, was awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label in 2004. Balustrades, statues and water fountains accompany the flowers, fruits and old vegetables. You will also discover an exceptional troglodytic chapel. The vineyard of appellation Vouvray extends over 29 hectares. After visiting the gardens, a tasting is offered in the shop where you can discover vintages having reached their specific maturity.

It is difficult to pass through Indre-et-Loire and not be interested in one of the products that have made its history and reputation: wine! Whether it is red, rosé, white, sweet, dry or sparkling, there is bound to be a nectar for your taste buds. And the advice of Éva and Bernard, the new owners since 2023, is precious. They like to share their discoveries and knowledge around aperitif boards or during tasting evenings. A warm place on the waterfront where people like to meet, a must on the Loire à Vélo!

It is in his shop on the rue nationale that Philippe has chosen to share his taste of wine with us. As a true enthusiast, he is inexhaustible on the products he offers since it is he who chooses them with the greatest care. For example, find the particularly topical vintage "Qu'on vide 19" from the Jaulin-Plaisantin estate, wine from the Loire Valley and from all over France, red, white and rosé wines... But also spirits, such as these French whiskies with nice names (Aveux gourmands, Fin de Partie...). With advice as a bonus!
