Swimming, cycling, walking: three components of a single sport that require tone and endurance, triathlon. Youth and adults, beginners and experts, recreation and competitor groups: everyone will find their place in the club, whose aim is to promote triathlon throughout the department. It is therefore in this context that Chartres Métropole Triathlon organises sporting events, such as the Run & Bike de Chartres, the Challenge Challenge of the borders of the Eure, the Odyssey Triathlon, the green triathlon at Fontenay-sur-Eure, or the nocturnal trail of Saint-Luperce. Some of these races are open to non-licensees, subject to the provision of a medical certificate. But nothing is worth a year training…

The Vélorail is undeniably the most original and user-friendly way to travel the kilometers of now disused rails. Departing from Gallardon-Pont station, a steel machine for 4 or 5 people, and off you go on an atypical journey to conquer the heritage of the Chartrain region! Ride through forests, across plains, across bridges, tunnels and viaducts: a real trip back in time, to share with friends or family!

If Chartres is famous for its famous cathedral, classified as a historic monument in 1862 and inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage in 1979, it is a little less for its other churches, museums and fountains. Let's straighten this out immediately and leave on foot or by bike to discover the heart of this "capital of Light and Perfume"! Admire the collegiate Saint-André Church, Saint-Pierre and Saint-Aignan Churches, and stop if your heart tells you at the Vitrail International Center, the Beaux Arts Museum or the Houses of Archeology and Salmon. At the edge of the city, Bois woods border the Loir on 23 hectares of forest. Designed to become the indispensable place of weekends in Famille, its botanical circuit and its ornithological observatory, you discover the fauna and flora of this classified Natura 2000 site. A health course also allows for a few exercises; just like the 9-kilometre hiking trail that passes through the woods from the square of 18-October.

Chartrains, Chartraines, get ready to receive the new edition of Chartres' Night Urban Trail in your city. Thanks to its success last year, the event will be renewed this year. On the program, of course, two races of 7 and 14 kilometers for the most sporty, but also a race of cultural orientation to the least trained. Everyone will be able to participate and finish with a convivial soup in the middle of the night!

Tariff: 8 € for the 7 km, 12 € for the 14 km and 1 € for the orientation race. For each inscription, 1 € will be returned to the association Les Enfants de la lune.

Distance: 7 km and 12 km.

Difficulty: easy to use.

Date: place of the Cathedral in Chartres. Departure of the orientation race at 8:30 p. m. and trails at 9:30 p. m. Soup soup and protocol ceremony at midnight.

5 km for runners, 5 km for casual athletes, and 10 km for more trained athletes: On September 2 in Bailleau-Armenonville, everyone should find shoes at their feet! For its 2018 edition, the Baillarmoises Fouls will still host some 120 participants, who come to the streets of the city with family or friends. No difficulties to mention, the opportunity is perfect to get or get into legs without pressure at this holiday. Go to your shoes!

This cycling circuit from Illiers-Combray takes you to the traces of whoever left an indelible mark in the history of the commune: Marcel Proust (1871-1922). Which one of them started paying tribute to the other first, hard to say! It is always the village of Illiers that Proust chose as the backdrop for his novels, in memory of these childhood stays at his uncle and aunt, who lived here. To celebrate the hundred years of his death, Illiers turned into Illiers-Combray, the fictional name that the writer had given to the village in his stories. This itinerary guides you to Proust's house, converted into a museum, before leading you to Catelan, a garden created by his uncle. The trail then passes through Méréglise and Saint-Éman, where you can see the supposed source of the Loir.
