At the helm is Levent, who fell under the city's spell and, when the opportunity arose, didn't hesitate for a moment to take over an old establishment and carry out extensive renovations, now offering games, themed evenings, and a great brasserie service with good value for money.

Games Park: it's all in the name! In addition to the laser game activities that the place has been developing for many years now, the park has acquired a bowling alley, making it the second one in the city. Intended for everyone, and especially for the youngest, this new space aims to be playful above all. Not approved for hosting competitions, it allows more time for the public! Another feature of the park is the theme evenings and the option to organise private events.

It's an area with many possibilities. La Minoterie is a farm producing ciders and perries to the highest standards, but that's not all. It was on discovering a building that Laure Sourdin, the owner, decided to let her imagination run wild and give it a new lease of life: store, exhibition space, cellar and, of course, guinguette. Open in summer, this bucolic setting is the perfect place to enjoy a drink, catch up with friends, play a game of pétanque - in short, have a good time!

Not only is it a must-see in the heart of the village, but also for its pretty old-fashioned storefront. This June 6th bar, which has been in existence since 1945, is a delightful place whose decor is reminiscent of the liberating heroes, with numerous military objects, right down to the impressive C47 wing that covers part of the covered terrace! There's also a handy grocery store, called "La Madeleine", where you'll find just about everything you need. Locals and tourists alike are sure to drop in.

Opened a few months ago in the heart of Saint-Sauveur, this is a place like no other. The brainchild of Marie-Odile and Bruno, the Nid de la Linotte is not just a store dedicated to knitting. Of course, you'll find knitting balls, knitting advice and dedicated events (the "tricothés"), but that's not all. You can come here for tea, brunch or one of the little marvels cooked on the premises: it's simple and good, all in a lovely atmosphere.

The successor to 5bis, Le Bohème is set to make its mark on Cherbourg evenings. Le Bohème was inaugurated with great fanfare at the beginning of April, giving us reason to believe that the place should indeed quickly find a young, festive and good-natured clientele. In this magnificent, totally redecorated place, with its mismatched furniture creating a unique atmosphere, you come here to have a drink, listen to good music, enjoy an atmosphere that often promises to be festive - in short, to have fun. We quickly recommend that you head for Rue Christine.

As work on the Place du Général de Gaulle (known here as the Place du Théâtre) draws to a close, as the Petit Futé team completes this guide, a new café has been added to the range. And not just any café! After 17 years under the well-known name of Scapin, the place has become Café Belleplace! Under the leadership of two friends, who took the opportunity to paint the pretty shopfront blue, the place remains a must for a drink and, in fine weather, to enjoy the beautiful terrace!

It's not just a place to eat, with a focus on pizzas (which are delicious, by the way). Le ^7th art is also a well-known venue for St. Louis locals. Located right next to the cinema complex, which it shares, this place is often bustling with activity, with a well-stocked menu for a drink, whether it's one of the draught beers or the cocktails, which are also very successful. Happy hour is generally a lively affair, and evenings dedicated to sports are colourful.

In a quiet street in the centre of town, amidst old houses, you'll find the Club. Easy to find, the Playground has taken over from the venerable Solier, an institution of Cherbourg nightlife for decades. With a new look and new offerings, the place has changed, but retains the friendly spirit that has long characterised it. Customers can enjoy delicious platters with a drink at the end of the day, the cocktails are good and fresh, and on match nights, the place comes alive to the rhythm of sports broadcasts. A successful gamble, then, for a place we've been missing for a long time!

If the place is famous for its mussels and chips, for which customers can wait on the pavement in high season, it is also a nice bar during the day, with a view of the quays of Carteret, and the beach of Barneville a little further away. The service is fast, the atmosphere is unparalleled and often lively, and the interior, certainly a little busy but terribly friendly, will finish to convince you that you're here in an unmistakable place in the resort.

The mythical name has been kept, but only that! Because the Milton, one of the leading nightclubs in central Manche, moved from Baudre to Saint-Lô last February. Vast and modern, the discotheque has kept the recipe that made the Milton's reputation: a fiery atmosphere, numerous theme nights, top DJs and a musical program eclectic enough for everyone to get their groove on. Located right next to the bowling alley, it forms a vast modern complex dedicated to fun. And the people of St-Lawrence can't get enough!

Right next door to the hotel-restaurant l'Épicurien, Le Grimoire is a lounge where you can spend some quality time in a unique atmosphere in Valognes that leaves no one indifferent. Modern with a few classical touches, a hushed atmosphere, vast chandeliers and plants on the walls and descending from the ceiling, the finest establishments in the Cotentin region have only themselves to blame. Champagnes, whiskies, wines or cocktails: we've also pulled out all the stops when it comes to drinks. It's a great place, and one we'd recommend!

A bar by day, the place was taken over a few months ago by a dynamic couple who have kept the fundamentals while adding their own touch. Come here for a drink or one of the marvellous pastries served during the day, or enjoy a slice of pizza (presented in a colourful display case), which you can take away. All day long, from Tuesday to Saturday, the place never gets empty, and the terrace is very popular in summer on this busy street in downtown Cherbourg.

With its Irish pub feel, Les Paillottes is a great place to stop just to admire the sea view. It's warm and inviting, with lots of wood, and bottles of rhum arrangé are just waiting for you. As for the rest, the basics are there: you're welcome on the terrace when the weather's fine, and when the sea gets rough, you can sit back and watch the impressive spectacle inside. It's a popular - and well-placed - spot in Agon, and a must-see!

Located at the corner of Place d'Estouteville and Rue des Fossés, could one dream of a better place for this imposing beer bar? Because the Place to Beer (we'll appreciate the pun) is not lacking in assets. Divided into two distinct places, one cosy, the other pub, it obviously offers many references in terms of beer: blonde, dark, amber, nothing is missing. You can also enjoy a few boards with friends, and the beautiful place with the green front also offers a nice little terrace. We validate!

Right in the centre of town, in a small recess of this pedestrian district, you'll find a lively and busy place, especially at weekends. Rade à Binch offers a wide range of beers and local spirits. People come here with friends to have an excellent time, in one of the warmest atmospheres in town - and not just on sports nights! The welcome is top-notch, and small nibbles at aperitif time are very welcome!

This charming place is located in the heart of the city. A bar-tabac open from Monday to Saturday to regular customers, it's much more than that! Hélène and Fabien, the two managers, make it a point of honor to make it a place for a wide range of events: people come here for concerts and exhibitions. At the far end of the bar, a devilishly cosy corner has been set up, where you can relax in peace and quiet. For those who enjoy evenings out with friends, there are a number of attractive platters on offer, to be enjoyed on the terrace in summer, for example.

A must in Saint-Vaast, and has been for years. Tourists, locals and people passing through do the Cabestan proud, and it does them proud! During the day, you can have a drink here, on your way back from Tatihou for example, and enjoy the terrace with a view of the port in fine weather. At lunchtime or in the evening in season, you will find something to satisfy even the most demanding of hungers: meat, fish, bruschetta and local specialities... The place, like many establishments here, is very popular in summer, so think of coming early enough.

Here's a rather chic beach bar that stands out in the local scene. Here, you can sit back on comfortable cushions, stretch out and enjoy a drink with your feet in the sand and a lively musical atmosphere: quite simply, you're in for a chill. Planks, cocktails and good Thai food: nothing is missing here, and the welcome is pretty good. The place is lively when the weather's fine, which is quite normal after all. We fully endorse this not-to-be-missed spot, which is very much the talk of Gouville.

This venerable bar in the small village of Liesville, on the banks of the river Douve, is set in one of the most peaceful and impressive natural areas in the département. Whether you find yourself on the vast terrace or in the interior space facing the river, which also boasts a magical view, the place has long been developing the fundamentals that have made it such a success: tapas, food, and drink all day long, all in an ultra-convivial atmosphere.

It's impossible to miss this bar, whose frontage sets the mood: here you enter a world of pirates, and the surprise of finding so much originality in Valognes doesn't leave you indifferent! This is the home of rum, which comes in countless varieties, but that's not all. The friendly Blackbeard offers a wide range of drinks in a warm atmosphere. The music, mainly rock, has a lot to do with it. In fine weather, special mention must be made of the terrace, ideally located in the city.

The atmosphere is guaranteed in this well-known Cherbourg discotheque. In addition to the numerous thematic evenings, the playlist is rather generalist, with dance, house, and electro tendencies. In short, there is something for all tastes. The place has many seats, particularly at the bottom of the club. Special mention to the outside terrace, a new offer in the heart of downtown, which allows those who are hot, for whatever reason, to find a little coolness! Attention partygoers: keep it quiet when you arrive or leave!

The Blockhausescape game pulls out all the stops when it comes to setting the scene: you'll be plunged into the year 1944, and will have to lead gliders to safety, likely to play a huge part in the liberation of Europe. And don't forget, you've got an hour, not a minute more! In a second room, called "Fortitude", you are French resistance fighters sent on a mission by a double agent named Garbo. You find yourselves on the eve of D-Day, and must reach the home of a Norman couple for an exchange of documents. Bluffing!
