Well known, this nice cinema is located a few steps away from the town hall of the delegated commune of Equeurdreville. It is also called "Hippodrome Maurice Jan" or "Hippodrome de Pontorson - Mont-Saint-Michel": this 1,200-metre sand track with a left-hand rope allows regular trotting races to be held, in a splendid setting, with the beautiful silhouette of Mont only a few kilometres away. The adjacent facilities (building, grandstands) are modern, and the races, some of which are very popular, are mainly organised during the summer period.

At the origin, the young Camille, supported by her father, who also owns the Coutançaise cellar: in the family, we know what we are doing! And it is true that the place does not miss assets, and knew how to conquer a faithful clientele: the shelf is vast, and thus the references are numerous, the advice is not an empty word, and one can settle here to taste, discover or, quite simply, to refresh oneself. Far from the Montmartre hill, Chat Noir has nothing to do with some cabaret... If it is not perhaps the wink on the posters on the walls! Celebrate bar with rum in Cherbourg and especially popular, the atmosphere is friendly and warm. Many wines by the glass are offered as beers and other drinks... with or without alcohol! This brand-new bar is the latest addition to the Cherbourg nightlife scene. Its original name comes from the unshakeable friendship between nine young locals who decided to launch their own place. And what a place it is! The old establishment has been completely revamped, the whole place is brighter, and the different types of draught beer and other cocktails are not to blame for the promising crowds from the very first days of opening. Open in the evenings, the place also offers a few concerts, just to get the atmosphere going!

Toile recognize this without ambage: cinemas in small towns often have a charm of no other kind! It is not the Dungeon, the Bricquebétaise hall, that will deny this assertion. It is a little away from the village that this room of about 200 places is located. After a short fall break, due to the setting up of a new association to manage the place, it was early December that the spectators again found the Dungeon path. Other advantages, very low rates, and eclectic and popular programming. 

It's not to be missed, with its vast blue storefront, and it's one of Cherbourg's hottest spots! This Drifter is in fact a vast bar that opens directly onto the central square, and adapts its opening hours on Thursdays to allow those finishing the market to come in for a drink afterwards! The "spot" on the Cotentin west coast, facing Jersey and in the shadow of Cap de Carteret, Potinière beach is a paradise worth sharing. Indeed, this bar is ideally located on this beach. Here, from April to October, you can enjoy the exceptional panorama while sipping a drink on the terrace or feasting on local lobsters, whelks, and oysters. The eclectic musical programme and, above all, the excellent atmosphere make this a place not to be missed.

A very nice place in the city centre, where the atmosphere is always present: the Black Dog Café is indeed one of the must-see places of the Cherbourg night. Here, we like to have fun, we like rock, and we proudly claim it! The music flows freely, as do the drinks, starting with the beers and whiskies which are offered in quantity. On match nights, whether it's football or rugby, the atmosphere goes up another level. Many people come here to have an aperitif with friends, with the excellent homemade terrines to nibble on.

Rarely has the phrase "feet in the water" taken on so much meaning. Because at the West-Bar, the sea is only a few meters away: this pretty straw hut faces the immensity of the sea on the west side of the Cotentin peninsula (sublime sunsets guaranteed) and has no shortage of great ideas to help you spend a moment out of time. Not only do you enjoy a drink here, but you'll also eat excellent dishes, often bistronomic in style, that make a refreshing change from the usual snacking fare. Last but not least, there's a lot of fun to be had here, including regular concerts.

Au Bout du Quai is a simple, comfortable hotel. It's also close to the Plat Gousset beach and the Christian Dior museum, about 12 and 15 minutes' walk respectively. Rooms are simple but feature free wi-fi. The hotel has a cosy bar with warm decor and a terrace overlooking the sidewalk. A continental buffet breakfast is available at an additional cost. "I resist everything, except temptation": that's how this Granvillian establishment sums up its state of mind. And with good reason: Dame Gourmande, launched by Maryse Jorre, who went back to school to take a pastry chef's diploma, keeps all its promises. And for four years now (already!), tarts, cookies and scones have been combined with savoury offerings to great effect at lunchtime. Of course, everything here is homemade, and the Sunday brunch is also well worth the detour. And, of course, it's delicious!

It is a small and unpretentious hotel, set on the edge of more the vast square of Valognes. If you like the local atmospheres and whether you love to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the city that you visit, go here when the days are dotted, similar and vibrant, especially when the market takes place. High school students, patrons much, some tourists come here to have a coffee, a glass of wine, play cards sometimes. Sandwiches, goods and cheap, complete the offer of the place.

Unmissable in the city, it overlooks the Place du Théâtre - also called Place du Général de Gaulle - which it adjoins. The Café du Théâtre is obviously a nice restaurant, a beautiful delicatessen, but also a bar and tea room in which you will take the time for a nice interlude. You can sit down here, in this very cosy place, and let yourself go to the discussion or to the contemplation. The vast choice of ice creams (there are about forty of them) and small sweet flavours will be just the right thing to accompany your moment.

Vintage is a must in the port of Carentan. And for many good reasons: first of all, because it is a lively place, which offers many concerts. It must be said that the place is ideal, with its beautiful terrace facing the boats in the port, which can accommodate people and musical groups. Here, you can taste wine, beer, tapas, party, watch sports broadcasts, in a very good-natured atmosphere. This establishment, where it is difficult not to have a good evening, is widely validated!

A large bar, with a beautiful and winding counter behind which regulars or locals like to spend time. And for many reasons: the place offers many activities. First of all, concerts, with regular dates and a lot of local bands, but also sports broadcasts (the thermometer went up several degrees during the last World Cup), or other festive moments, such as the annual carnival. The ideal place to take your mind off things, or to have an aperitif board with friends.

If you're a fan of paillotes, you'll love this one in Carolles! With a breathtaking view of the sea and the Chausey Islands in the distance, you can sit on the sheltered terrace or with your feet in the sand, before, after, or during your beach visit. Here, you'll also find a number of good, simple restaurants to satisfy your hunger. In the evenings, you'll also find a range of attractive platters. The welcome is great and, to top it all off, DJs sometimes drop in to set the mood!

A well-known establishment here, which has a few decades on the clock, and which remains one of the best places to have a cheap lunch. Le Moderne, it's a daily lunch menu, prepared on the spot with good products, a meat or a fish, and for a really cheap price. The service is very fast, nice, and benefits from one of the most beautiful sunny terraces, facing the theatre on this huge square. Be careful with the crowd, because if the employees do their best to find you a place, at lunchtime it's very crowded!

With its 1,100-meter grass track and functional infrastructure, it is a popular venue for professionals and spectators alike. The racecourse was launched in 1946 by Gabriel Lefranc and has been hosting horse races since 1950. In 1991, it was renamed in tribute to its founder. Over the years, numerous works have been carried out to improve the facilities, including the refurbishment of the ring and the construction of a new grandstand. The racecourse also contributes to the local economy by hosting various events such as circuses, sports competitions and association meetings. It is considered one of the coast's tourist attractions and contributes to the liveliness of the region.

This racecourse is managed by the Villedieu racing society: the latter, created at the end of the 1940s, offers a dozen or so races a year, which are held on the Saultchevreuil racecourse. The latter, located near the town centre, has a beautiful sand track with a right-hand rope. The grandstands will allow you to sit in the best conditions to enjoy the races you have bet on!

The Hippodrome des Grèves is a racetrack located in Marcey-les-Grèves, in the town of Vains.

This nice little bar located in front of the harbour was taken over by Camille and Maxime at the end of 2022, and the Narval quickly found a large clientele! Aperitifs are organised, a brewery service - to be tested - has been added, the decoration has been redone, and this tobacconist's stays open late! Many are the night smokers who come to refuel there: be careful not to park in double line on the quay, estimating that the purchase of a pack of cigarettes will only take a few seconds: the police are watching!

This meeting is entirely devoted to trotters and starts at 1:30 pm. Several races are on the program, including three women's specials, two professional (one mounted and one harnessed) and a third for harnessed women. Spectators will be able to place bets and win numerous prizes. For families, there will also be a hippokid's village and an inflatable structure. Catering will be available on site. A health pass is required with proof of identity. This event promises to be an intense moment of family sharing.

The Bec d'Andaine racecourse in Genêts is a must for horse racing enthusiasts. Managed by the Société de courses de Genêts since 1895, it features a 1,000-metre grass track with a breathtaking view of Mont-Saint-Michel and Tombelaine from the stands. Situated on the Herbus maritime estate, it is built on spit, which gives it a supple surface, except in rainy weather when it can become greasy. It is important to note that the racecourse is completely flooded by the sea when the tidal coefficient exceeds 110. Spectators can enjoy catering under a marquee, as well as a refreshment bar and galettes saucisses.

It's easy to spot the Baligan, with its distinctive wooden storefront! Just a stone's throw from the beach, the place (named after the famous "trou", a natural cavity in the nearby Flamanville cliffs) has it all! It's a lively place where you can have a drink, eat (with a special mention for the burgers, which are tasty and particularly hearty) and have fun, with plenty of concerts in fine weather, making it one of the little town's must-sees. This pretty place full of life came out of the warm and overflowing imagination of Coraline and Leo! These two photographers decided to renovate an old farm to make it a cultural place, with photo exhibitions, but also and especially the will to create a lot of exchanges! Getting lost in the fields, through a maze of vegetation of five hectares? This childhood dream comes true here, and without any danger of encountering a combine harvester! Enter this little green paradise, where a three-kilometre labyrinthine itinerary is carefully retraced every year, and to which are added treasure hunts, activities, animal encounters and even picking. In the end: a fun, educational and even gourmet experience that children will love.

This bowling alley is located five minutes away from Avranches on the road to Granville, easily accessible with a large car park available. You can try to strike on one of the eight lanes. And to recover from your emotions, there is a bar and a restaurant where you can follow matches. The place, which changed ownership a few months ago, did not lose its charm: the opening hours are consistent every day, thus allowing us not to linger too long to understand!

The casino of Agon is one of the main points of animation of the seaside resort. The complex is a real centre dedicated to fun. This theatre of the Haute-Ville, built in the 1820s, is a small room of some sixty places, renovated a few years ago, which hosts local creations, but not only. Theatre plays or concerts are regularly programmed in this intimate and charming setting. The place also serves as a residence, and schools offer courses. Anyway, it turns out!
