With some 1,600 students, 105 teachers in 41 disciplines, almost 200 free events each season, 46 classrooms, 3 dance studios, 15 studios for students to work in, 2 auditoriums and a documentation center, the Conservatoire de Caen offers a wide range of artistic disciplines from the age of 6. With registration or an entrance exam, you can progress through different courses right up to the final diploma. The Conservatoire is also home to the Orchestre de Caen and the Saison Musicale.

On the equipment side, Petit Dan stables have two rides (one of 42 x 20 m, the other of 30 x 20 m), a career of (40 x 20 m), a spring garden, and a safe road. Ready to take to the water? Base Nautique Beau Rivage offers canoeing and kayaking trips for all ages (from 8 upwards), with personalised advice. Depending on the circuit you choose, ranging from 7 to 28 kilometres in length, and lasting from two hours to a full day, you'll cross the magnificent landscapes of the Orne Valley and some famous dams with the strength of your arms. It's refreshing, sporty and wonderfully invigorating. You can also enjoy bucolic cruises by electric boat, pedal-boat or rowing boat.

This majestic ensemble, designed in 1923 by the architect Charles Ada, surprises with its string of fountains, basins and atriums richly decorated in a clearly Roman style. The most famous parasols in France can be rented. They can be borrowed by the day or over a longer period of time at Cabin 101 and Place Claude-Lelouch. The beach is punctuated by four "sectors" of parasols, identifiable by their colours: orange, red, blue, green and yellow.

L'amicale pour la mise en valeur de la voie ferrée Caen - Flers has installed a 13-kilometer round-trip vélo-rail between Pont-Erambourg and Berjou to combine relaxation and discovery of the Noireau and the countryside. An artistic collective dedicated to the performing arts, this multi-disciplinary venue, which includes set design, costumes and radio production, also organizes festivals and other events.
