Want to do something out of the ordinary? To share with your tribe or your friends? Come aboard the electric velorail of Les Fades. From the station of Les Ancizes, you will leave for 7,5 km of descent. You will pass under 3 tunnels. Small sensations guaranteed. In summer, during the strong heats, one really appreciates the freshness which reigns there. You will reach the viaduct, an impressive work of the years 1900. The return trip will be easy with the electric assistance.

Closed since the turn of the century, the railroad line between Lapeyrouse and Saint-Éloy-les-Mines is coming back to life thanks to the Vélorail. A pleasant, shady 16-kilometer round trip takes in the rural Combrailles countryside. Descents and gentle climbs punctuate the ride, but don't worry, the electric assistance will be with you all the way, so you can pedal effortlessly. However, the more athletic riders can deactivate the assistance if they wish.

Departing from Espirat, the velorail follows the old Billom-Vertaizon railroad line for 5 kilometers. The round trip takes 1h30. The route is clear and offers 360° panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the Limagne plain and its ancient volcanic hills. Although the velorail is not electric, it's an ideal activity for the whole family: parents pedal up front, while children enjoy the ride from the comfort of the back seat. An original way to discover the Jauron valley.
